Let me start off by saying that I was excited to try this restaurant and love Peruvian food and drinks. But I had a very disappointing experience for dinner. The chica morada was too light in flavor compared to the several versions I've elsewhere, tasting watered down. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful. The lomo saltado was a bit too salty for my taste, which may be better suited for others as salt/soy sauce levels in this dish vary across Peruvian restaurants. The service was the most frustrating element in our dining experience. We seemed to wait much longer for our meal than others, as lomo saltados were delivered to tables that were seated after we arrived. At the end of the meal, the waiter seemed oblivious to the poor experience we had. I would have really wished there was some acknowledgement of this poor service because I was moments from walking out which I never do. When they served our ordered meal more than once to tables seated 30 minutes later than us, that really upset both of us. read more
