Never board your dog at Les Anges Gardiennes. They stopped having someone stay with the animals…read moreovernight over a year ago, but didn't tell customers. They just pretend nothing changed. They put the dogs in cages, stacked floor to ceiling, in a tiny room with signs banning entry, so owners don't know how badly their animals are being treated. From the time the daycare closes at 7:00pm until after 7:00am the next morning there is no one there, and the dogs are stuck in little cages for 12+ hours. There is just a camera in the room and who knows if they monitor that. They make a show of putting some cats roaming freely in an office off reception, but they won't show you where they actually stick the dogs who are boarding there: in tiny cages that are off-limits and behind closed doors. I saw the disgusting room because a lovely person in reception told me to avoid boarding there, and showed me the room even though they could have been fired. The people who work in the daycare are fabulous, but the woman who runs the place, Vanessa, is super sweet to your face and takes your money, and then shoves your dog, alone and scared, in a small room and lies to you about someone being there. Oh, also, Vanessa steals tips. The people who work there are so lovely (and you should tip them!!!) but NEVER let Vanessa see you do it, she'll take it for herself, because "they owe her." NEVER GO HERE FOR ANYTHING.

He is another member of the family and we wanted only the best for him, somewhere where he would be spoiled and pampered. We found Muzo online and it looked great. When we dropped Owen off we were not allowed to see the grounds which should have been our first indication that something was different. Owen was there for a quick four days. When we brought him home we noticed dried blood and dozens of scabs on and around his head and neck and tiny swollen bumps all over his belly. The staff hadn't mentioned anything when we picked him up so we called several times, each time we were told that the management was unavailable. None of our calls or messages were ever returned. It turns out he had contracted a skin infection while he was there. Vet bills have cost us upwards of $1000 to get rid of this infection with testing and constant antibiotics. This place is far from cheap. We certainly expected better care and service and our calls have still not been returned in regards to all of the cuts and scabs on his head. Needless to say, we WILL NOT be going back to MUZO!

However, on the third day I received an email saying she could no longer handle my dog which left me scrambling to coordinate with another boarder while I was not even in the province to do so. Her reason? My dog wants to chase squirrels and is sometimes reactive to bicycles. She also told me my dog demanded so much attention in the house that she was unable to use her computer or even shower! At least I was fully refunded but I could have done without the extra stress while trying to enjoy my vacation.

This isn't a shop that was built for the sole purpose of turning a buck, but because they are truly passionate about their product. I learn new things about my pet all the time by visiting here. Second, just as they care about their animals, they care about their customers. I have a crazy life; I'm frequently (see: weekly) being sent out of country for work, to include overseas, and Pawse has been there for me every step of the way. Their delivery service is an absolute life-saver for our family. Finally, their pricing. I upgraded my food by coming here, and still save money week after week.
