    Dropping flocked tree!

Just got off the phone with someone from the store after having an issue with a flocked Christmas tree where I told her we were not informed that these trees do not need water. I had a few other questions about it as well, and I have to say, she was impatient and not very understanding and just about the worst customer service you would want if you expect people to come back. Which I will not. Despite them charging more for these trees and advertising that they will last longer, ours is drooping. Forget you, Pike Nurseries. Not shopping here anymore, for anything.

I paid for Annabelle but I got some kind of miniature version

I have always liked this pike nursery until today when I had an issue.  They sold me what appeared to be Silverleaf Hydrangeas for Annabelle.  I planted when it was small and with buds only to discover it was not Annabelle one month later.  Since I was watering it a lot now it's 3 times as big.  I took the pictures and also the Annabelle label that I kept to this place.  I was hoping that they would give me a full refund or store credit without actually me digging it up.   However this was not what Amanda (an assistant manager) has told me  "You have to bring it back for an exchange or you have an option to purchase Annabelle".  Then she went onto say "You have purchased this a month ago so it shouldn't be too much to just pull it up" then she said "We have a policy that even if the plant dies, you will need to bring it up for an exchange". I said to her this situation is not the same because it is obviously Pike's mistake and I should not have to work for it.  I went around the town to try to find Annabelle and even talked to a guy here then purchased it.  Then her tone started to get more aggressive and she asked me "what is it that you want?".  At that point I had to say "I really don't appreciate your attitude toward me.  What I was expecting was full refund or a free Anabelle with a sorry for the inconvenience.  Or at least store credit of 50% of the price".  Then she said I cannot do that because it's store policy. Then I said it is really frustrating I had to drive here and drive back I am not the one who cause this mistake.  Then she said she can give me 10% off of the next one.  Then I said more reasoning then she said 20%.  I went on to say it is not enough.  Then she finally said "Ok I just give you full refund just to get it past but why can't you just dig it up and bring it back".  I did not say any further because she should know that I am a customer who received the wrong item due to store's mistake.  If they really want to get that back, they should come to my place and dig it up.  Even after that a month of my effort of watering will be a waste.  I said I almost don't need the full refund but I want more of an apology.  Then she said "that's why I apologized". (she was not apologetic at all)  I told her that it is upsetting and by the time she really frustrated me so tear was coming down from my eyes in front of the other customers.  A guy who brought Annabelle for me watching the partial thing asked "How is it going" so I said "not good".  Then the another cashier watching the whole thing just laughed.  When I picked up the new Annabelle and leaving the store none of the workers said sorry or anything at all. So this whole conversation was super unprofessional and honestly I felt she was super cold and mean and I felt I was treated super unfairly.  Even though in the end, she gave me the item I wanted, I felt hurt, emotionally distressed, and embarrassed in front of all the other customers.  I do not think this is how a customer is supposed to be treated at any store.

So grateful for business that are still open and operating during these times. I did my research and decided to get a Monstera Deliciosa. I was so thrilled when I saw they had some in stock. Not just the fully grown ones but a few healthy babies also. I convinced my mother to get one also. I went with a baby to see how good my green-thumb is. Believe it or not, this was my very first time ever in this store and I personally was in heaven. So many beautiful, healthy plants. If I could buy them all I'm sure I would. All of the employees wore mask and were upbeat and eager to help. I think a few items were a bit overpriced but I was still able to get my plant, a pot and a few other items. Overall I had a really nice first experience, even during this covid19 pandemic

Aren't the twins beautiful? On closer inspection, they are more fraternal than identical.

Prices are a little bit higher than Lowes or Home depot but nothing has died because the staff is so well versed in gardening

Very bad customer service. Very rude old lady I encountered today. She was in a hurry and had no time to help me out.

I expect it's the same with all the high dollar equipment including BGE. I purchased a Stihl RB400 pressure washer in the morning to strip paint off my house, as my old pressure washer wasn't up to the task. I used it for about 20 minutes before all 4 anti vibration mounts sheared off the chassis and the engine and pump fell to the ground. After looking at it, it looks like the mounts were severely over-torqued by Ace during assembly. It was a little frustrating to have that happen to a brand new $850 piece of equipment that's supposed to be top of the line, but whatever, things happen and Stihl has a great warranty right? So I called the store to make a warranty claim, and I was informed they do not have any repair staff on site and would have to ship it to a repair facility. I've owned a lot of Stihl equipment, I've never had an issue with a warranty claim until now. They gave me an estimate of 2 weeks to repair, but since I have a halfway unpainted house now, I told them I just wanted to return it. On the phone they told me no problem and to bring it in. I loaded it up and took it in. When I got there they told me they can't take Stihl returns and I'd have to send it in for repairs. I run all Stihl equipment at my house, and I own a business that runs Stihl equipment in all our crew trucks. I've made plenty of returns and had plenty of warranty claims at other Stihl dealers without ever having a problem. This Ace is either unwilling to help or unable to help, both cases are simply unacceptable. If you'll be purchasing major equipment, purchase somewhere that can stand behind it and make you whole. That's kind of the whole point of paying a premium for Stihl.
