It's a place where homeowners, renters, and professional contractors can buy tools, building materials, appliances, paint, lawn & garden supplies, hardware, and more--in-store or online. Many stores offer free or low-cost workshops to learn DIY home projects. This location is straightforward to maneuver through. The corporation has been in the Atlanta area since 1978 founded in Marietta, Georgia by Bernard Marcus, Arthur Blank, Ron Brill, and Pat Farrah. This location is busy on weekends. There are always helpful associates to ask if you need help finding anything because of the vast number of products for sale. It's right next to a Target so you can kill two birds with one stone if you need anything from Target. I used to go here for years. However, after the last 4-5 times I've gone (including my GF's refrigerator/delivery they fucked up multiple times) I will not go again. I spent 60 min of my evening on hold for a simple lumber question. I was transferred numerous times to the wrong place for the call to be "dropped". When you go in person... good luck on finding someone slightly knowledgeable, or even half ass competent, to answer a simple question. Aaron in customer service was great and deserves a raise. Be aware that the State Bridge Home Depot doesn't stand behind their appliances for over 90 days. I bought a high-end Vissani microwave about 4 months ago, got it installed, put power to it, and nothing happened. I think the device has an internal short. Even though I had the original receipt, they used their 90 day return policy to refuse to allow me to exchange it. I wasn't even looking for a refund. Now I'm out a few hundred dollars. There are more than enough employees at this store however nobody seems to want to work. We had to ask three times for assistance on a particular isle, when help came he just walked rt by us and went straight to the back of the store never to return although he was the one running that department. This has happened multiple times in the past. I will be shopping at Lowe's from now on. This was my third visit to the store in a week and could not get help either time. The worst Home Depot in town .Most of the workers are lazy and ignorants and disrespectful like the one young guy outside that was supposed to bring the lumber carts inside but instead he was dragging his body and wasted time or the young guy at returns who refused to scan my receipts so I can get money back on the card and instead he gave me a store credit .Horrible customer service.The store is very disorganized and customers are treated poorly . The only people that deserve their money and at least a bonus a month are the three guys in lumber who were very helpful loading my wood and three other guys in other sections that are the only ones you see every time helping around. I was having trouble getting my grill delivered to me and she did not give up after my delivery did not show up with a third-party contractor because my cellphone went to voicemail as I was on the phone with a doctor and on hold. She had her wonderful coworkers Shaq and Colin help me get it home. This was a very special occasion and they made sure it happened. I was in Duluth last Sunday and needed to run an errand, so I stopped by this Home Depot. I must say I was impressed with this store. I needed to make copies of a key for my realtor for a property that's being shown. For a Sunday afternoon, the store was not overly busy. Easy parking and easy in-and-out. As soon as I stepped through the doors, I looked above and went to the "Tools" section where I immediately found the key kiosk. The station was manned by two employees. There were only two customers ahead of me so I didn't have to wait long before an employee an saw me. I had a Schlage key copied. Home Depot copies Schlage keys using Axxess brand keys. I've used several Axxess copied keys in the past and have never had a problem. Certain keys can be copied to novelty keys with special graphics painted on them. For example, they had a selection of keys painted with college team logos and mascots (e.g. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Florida Gators, etc.). Pretty cool. Each one of those specialty keys was less than $3. Not a bad deal. My standard Axxess keys were only $1.78 a pop. Service was great. I noticed the employee who copied my key had a patch on his apron that said, "I speak Arabic." Nice. As I made my way to the checkout lanes, two employees greeted me at the same time and one of them directed me to her checkout counter where she checked me out lightning quick. Before I knew it, I was on my way. I think I may have found my favorite Home Depot. read more

Home Depot will match prices. Take a picture or bring an add of the item(s) and don't forget your receipt if you've already made a purchase. Yes I am a thrifty shopper and believe that if stores say they are going to "match prices" I expect them to do so and they did "happily". After moving into a new apartment decided the first project would be to stain the kitchen cabinets the wood trim was dated and faded. After some lengthy conversation (twice) took the 'advice' of those who know what they are doing, "it was to skip the staining and try painting instead". The kitchen cabinets looks great now and the Property Management "loves it". Projects two - four: Painting the bathroom cabinets, painting one of the living room walls or maybe the dining room, (undecided) then indoor/outdoor carpeting and plants for the balcony. Home Depot will be able to help with all of these things in the next couple of months and if you have a project in mind you can be sure HD can handle it. read more

I've had some disappointing experiences within this Home Depot store but this is part and parcel of all Home Depot locations I have visited. Like the time they attempted to sell me a floor model item and pass it off as brand new, in the box and assembled to order. It took a call to Home Depot's corporate offices to receive recompense but corporate customer service was genuinely concerned and committed to assisting me. I had another less than professional experience recently with this Home Depot after a phone snafu with customer service resulted in a wasted time and money. However, the conclusion of the story was exceptionally positive. One of the assistant managers had the small item delivered to my house at no charge. Such commitment and attentiveness to righting a wrong never goes unnoticed or unappreciated. My in-store experiences are average to slightly below average but I award this Home Depot five shining stars for going above and beyond in order to make makeup for neglectful customer care. I just give 2 star for employees, but if I want to give rate based on management I would give 1 star. In this couple past years they just go down in how they keep items on stock. I don't know who is manger now but I remember this location was doing better in past. They just Full of excuses for their bad management. Please use your local hardware stores instead of HOME DEPOT. I will never buy another thing there. They have a new policy, without receipts, no store credit. So if you get a gift from Home Depot and don't ask your friend or family member for the receipt (which is kind of rude), you can't return the item at all. Except in my case which was to throw it at them. This is the third and final straw I have with them. First, their installation for carpet was a nightmare, then their attitude about a stolen gift card was atrocious, and now no store credit. I shopped there at least twice a week in the spring, summer and fall. I don't know Lowe's, and Ace Hardware's policies, but I think in a smaller store at least they would know you and know that you aren't out to steal from them so they would accept a return for store credit. read more

I came here three trips total. Each time ended in FAIL. Before this, the dumbest Home Depot award went to the one on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, where I asked nine different employees if they had Damp Rid, every single one said they had never heard of it and didn't know what I was talking about, and then I discovered AN ENTIRE SECTION OF DAMP RID PRODUCTS! Like how the F can you work somewhere....woops, sorry, getting off track, this is about the Duluth, Ga Home Depot located on State Bridge Road. (State Bridge is what Pleasant Hill turns into.) I don't remember the movie, Demolition Man? ...but it was set in a future Los Angeles, where the greeting had become HelloHowAreYouImFineThankYouVeryMuch all in one breath. This reminded me of Home Depot, where the greeting is "AreYouFindingEverythingAlright" don't confuse this with the question "Are You Finding Everything Alright?" which is something different. So employees here will just walk right past you, regurgitating robotically their store greeting "AreYouFindingEverythingAlright" but not actually stop to see if you are finding everything alright. That is not to say that if they did stop, they would know where to find anything at all. Visit 1 Empty store, I walk back and forth between the front and the back of the store comparing prices because not one employee knows the answer to what is on sale in the front of the store and what is not. See, they had these heavy duty plastic shelving units on sale, but the back had similar or identical units at different prices. I wanted to know.... oh you know what, none of this is even remotely interesting. The details aren't important, the maddening incompetence is. During this visit I see what appears to be a district manager yucking it up on a store tour, obviously not doing his damn job. Visit 2 (week later) I went in to have a copy of a key made. The guy had no clue what was going on and in the end, after 30 minutes, the machine jammed/broke. Visit 3 (the following weekend) I came to get a standard sized window blind. I don't know anything about blinds okay. After looking around for 15 minutes, I go to the front of the store to ask if someone in the blinds section could come and help me. After 5 minutes a guy appears looking super annoyed. I give him my measurements and show him the blind. THEN HE PROCEEDS TO LIE TO MY FACE. Yes, no joke. He tells me that they do not carry this size blind, and that I should look online. No moron, if I wanted to look online then I would not have come into the f-ing store! I mean seriously WTF IS THIS? The guy walks off in a hurry back to the break room or wherever it was he came from. How do I know he lied to my face? Well, the next day I went to the location WAY down the road on Pleasant Hill Rd. and I-85, where a guy there explained everything I ever wanted to know about blinds, AND YES they had my size blind, they had a WHOLE SECTION OF MY SIZED BLINDS! Well, I was curious, maybe the guy at this other Home Depot really didn't have that size. So I went back to check, sure enough, THEY ALSO HAVE AN ENTIRE SECTION OF MY STANDARD SIZED BLINDS. I also found the employee, this time he was busy hitting on some woman. Long Story short, not coming back to this location. I asked to speak to manager and explained everything to him. Told him about all three of my visits. The manager was very, nice, very professional, and apologized, and bla bla bla.... but the nerve of that last guy, left a sour taste in my mouth. Next time maybe I'll check out Lowe's or a smaller chain store, somewhere where people know what is in their store, and want my business, just like Home Depot used to be. read more

I have been seriously considering sending Home Depot a storage fee invoice for all the items I purchased at their store and never used! I would feel totally justified, why you ask? Because for years now I've been a victim of the motto - "You can do it, we can help!" Except in my case it's more like, you can do it, but you're probably not going to!!! I'm telling you, I have all kinds of gadgets and whatnots around my house and garage that I don't remember buying or why I thought I needed them! All kinds of tools, light switches and even a few sink faucets... huh? I found a doorbell yesterday still in it's package (not kidding) and some ramps for my car. Why? I don't know! I don't even know how to change my own oil. And where did all these fancy curtain rods come from? Incidentally, this box I found seems to have waaaaay to many left over parts for that ceiling fan I put up to actually be installed correctly. But if you really want to get me upset, let's talk about the unopened paint cans stacked up in the garage. I told my wife the next paint project we have is gonna be with mystery paint. I'm gonna gather 5 unopened gallons and mix them in a big bucket! Whatever color it becomes is what we will be using to paint! That's it... end of discussion. We have enough paint cans to go into business. The worst part is I don't really come to the conclusion I don't need these items until after the return time has lapsed. It's the very reason why I have an air compressor complete with air wrench, a/c filters that don't fit MY a/c unit, a drawer full of stupid pocket sized screwdrivers, and enough wood to build a shed! If it were just me I probably wouldn't say anything, but my neighbors are victims too! Their yards look like a jungle because they won't stop going to Home Depot to buy more plants they don't need! I'm telling you, that motto really is like some sort of mind control. Don't be like me! Resist the urge to start a weekend project and run when someone starts telling you how easy it would be for you to complete it! Slap anyone, I mean anyone who tries to convince you otherwise! But you owe it to yourself to at least go looking, because that Georgia Bulldogs soda vending machine is slammin' and the grilles on display are so shiny! I purchased flooring at the end of January. Almost a month later I still have not had the floors installed. Due to a special order part (that nobody ever mentioned to me) It took forever to get the materials to home depot. Then it was a huge hassle to get home depot to even deliver it to me. Apparently since I didn't answer the phone the day they were going to deliver it they decided not to. The man that called never even left a call back number so I could tell him we were home. I had to get one of the managers Ronnie to have someone bring it out later that day. We also specifically told the man measuring that we wanted the bathroom vanity and toilet removed so that we may have all the same floor in the bathroom. The expediter told me I would have another fee for that as that requires a plumber. Ronnie ended up offering that service at his expense and when the man came to remove the toilet he would not remove the vanity because that "is not my job." I specifically mentioned many of the things I wanted taken care of with the floors. I wanted the old tile removed and the new floors installed on the slab. Apparently I didn't pay for tile removal just "tile base removal". So I was charged twice for this install two different amounts. I also wanted the old tile baseboards removed but the installer told me that might destroy the wall behind it. This doesn't make sense to me since I paid for "tile base removal" The installer showed up by himself. He says that he was told he was doing a basement. He said he didn't know that we wanted the tiles removed. He also told me he could not even do the install today because of the weather. I understand rain prohibits the work being done so I wasn't upset about that. read more

Home Depots are Home Depots, so this rating/review are just for the knowledge of their department "experts". Over the last week alone, I've been to HD a lot and 3 times I needed to ask an associate a question. The first time, it was about the usage of a product, to which they didn't know. The second time, it was about a common product, to which they had never even heard of. However, the most egregious of my experiences was when I went in looking to buy a specific 30 in Whirlpool gas cooktop. The associate found one and said it was on clearance and if I promised to buy it, she would drag it to the scan area and look up the specs. I said if it was the model that I wanted, then yes, but I'm not buying it if not. To make things easy, I looked it up on my phone and it turns out that wasn't the right model, it was electric for one thing. She kept rolling her eyes and saying "you asked for a 30in Whirlpool and this is a 30in Whirlpool". I was convinced she was trolling me because no so called "expert" would have trouble understanding the difference between electric and gas. To top it off, she said she had never heard of "wall ovens" before. I honestly expected candid camera to pop out during the above experience. I will say that this Home Depot is great is if you know exactly what you want and where it is. If not, good luck! read more

Very disappointed in the delivery process. We were scheduled for a delivery with a 14 hour window, 6:00am - 8:00pm. At 7:15pm after not hearing from anyone we called to check on delivery. We heard several different stories. The first story was they tried to call but no one answered yet we had no missed calls. The second story was they didn't have a phone number to call. The third story was that they never loaded the truck because we didn't answer the call. This was after someone said they remembered loading our order. Now they want to push our delivery to next week. When asked (multiple times), Home Depot would not confirm the number they attempted to call or the time they called. Honestly, I don't know who's is worse the no show or the string of stories. It would have been much better if they told us the truth. read more

I am sorry to be negative but I feel motivated to speak up. I have been shopping at Home Depot for years, for things needed for little projects, home repairs, improvements and gardening. I walked into this location today and it was different. I've frequented the location in Altamonte Florida, Snellville Georgia, Lawrenceville, Georgia and now the Duluth location. I've never walked into a Home Depot and not have been offered help like this one. I might as well have been invisible. The store is in a location full of diversity so I hope race was not an issue or I guess at this location I should not have questions to ask. I asked about paint and I was basically shooed away with an answer of " over there". Wow! I feel a little better that when I asked a young man about artificial turf even though he avoided eye contact he answered me and was nice and helpful. They were out, but that is okay. Anyways, since I live in the vicinity now, I hope my next visit is more pleasant. read more

The employees here are very helpful and nice. I began coming to this store after buying a new house and having to do some small repairs here and there. Multiple times I was looking for some tools or other items that the website indicated were in an aisle that I could not find (such as "RT"). The employees here were very quick to help and drop what they were doing to walk me over to find the items I was looking for. For everyday shopping for tools and repair items, this place has many things in stock and helpful associates. I was able to find an associate fairly quickly, but I was usually browsing around multiple aisles so I was never in any one particular section for long. I did not buy any large appliances or do any online order for pickup, so I cannot speak to that experience. read more

At our church, we have what we call 'The Six Decade Brigade', which is composed of old guys who have a lot of time and experience on their hands, and who go do vital repairs, installs, replacement, raking, mowing, cleaning, and advocating for needy or shut-in senior citizens in the Norcross/Johns Creek/Duluth area, usually at no cost, because we can get materials and supplies from local merchants. This Home Depot stepped up to the plate and helped us with materials to repair a very large hole in the roof of a senior couple who had major medical problems compounded by natural catastrophe. The manager's generous willingness to help on the spot was most impressive, and very supportive of this community. Great corporate citizenship deserves a spotlight, so here's a Yelp! for you, guys. read more

DON'T FORGET TO CHECK THE CLEARANCE SHELVES! I love it when I can go into a larger store and still be able to get in and out in an efficient manner. When I recently entered the store, the greeter was able to direct me directly to the key maker where I was able to get keys made in a quick and efficient manner. I am so accustomed to just having the standard keys made that I did not take time to really explore the options. They have great options for color, function and fun. I liked the zero gravity keys which are colorful and very light weight. They are ideal if you tend to have several keys on your fob. As a mom, I tend to carry copies of EVERYONE'S keys in addition to my own. Even though they have AAA, they will still call Mom first. I also liked the colorful keys that you could actually write on, (perfect for labeling so that you won't forget). I was able to get a couple of the unique keys but next time, I will definitely explore all of the options ahead of time. I spent a lot of time this summer going to the Depot for lawn and garden purposes. However, now that things have settled down, I find myself thinking about other things such as hardware for drawers or home improvement accessories and now is the time to buy. When they have a sale, (clearance) they have a sale! When I decided to change the light covers on my lights and ceiling fans, they had the beautiful frosted ones on clearance from $12 to $3 and they were perfect. I had to go to every single store within a 15 mile radius in order to get enough but it was worth it. I had the same good fortune when looking to update the hardware on my college desk which my husband updated for me. The specific pulls I wanted were marked for clearance and I probably saved about $20. Remember, now is the time to buy because they will need to make room for new fall inspired inventory. Also, the simplest way to update or freshen things up is by making small changes such as changing out doorknobs, lamp shades, hardware and other accessories. You will be surprised by the big impact of such a small change. read more

This is your typical Home Depot location with horrible service. People come to Home Depot because they are everywhere. If there is another hardware store near you, highly recommend going there. May be someone will come before the store closes? I have 2.5 hours to wait. I am trying to do a special order which I know will not be here the day it was promised. Very aggravating. I am a local contractor that spend over a million at Home Depot a year on materials. Finally decided to write a review. I have totally been "SCROOGED" by HOME DEPOT!!! Instead of enjoying my holiday with new counter tops and sink, I am out almost $4000 and I have an extremely expensive sink sitting in my garage! After the Home Depot approved contractor came to my house and measured, he said that I should get brackets to support the weight of the counter tops....BUT, his company didn't do that work...I went back to Home Depot and they top me that THEY did not sell these brackets AND they didn't do that work either! They handed me a pamphlet on what brackets "I" should buy and sent me on my way. I have not had any of my phone calls returned from the contractor to advise me on how many brackets I should purchase and what size, no advice on who to contact for help. I have been put on hold and forgotten about. I have been brushed off by store managers and staff, no one in the kitchen and bath department is EVER at their desk to answer questions AND when I go to customer service, the project manager/scheduler doesn't have the decency to come to the front desk and talk to me in person. After several weeks, the only answers I have been able to get are that they will get back to me with a list of contractors that I can call on my own, get quotes from and hire to do the work "outside" of this contract that I have signed with them. When I asked them how on earth could my counter top and sink be under warranty with a "third party" coming in and doing some of this job, they answered, "we will figure that out later"!!!! Two weeks of unreturned phone calls later all I am receiving back are bills from my Home Depot card reminding me of what a BAD DECISION I have made in using them to do a job for me. I remember the times where I used Home Depot EXPO to install a backsplash and custom blinds and the work and the follow-up was impeccable. What happened to THAT Home Depot? Since when does Home Depot not do "that kind of work"??? I don't think I am the only customer who ever wanted a breakfast bar installed in their kitchen and if they didn't do that kind of work, why not tell me up front???? Now I own a custom cut piece of quartz that can't be installed because I have to do the additional research... My advice, besides BEWARE OF HOME DEPOT, is maybe next time I will give you have a home improvement job, consider a small business owner who does great work and cares about their customers and their reputation. read more

I go to this store weekly as it's around the corner from my home but have had horrible customer service lately. Most recently, I gave a gift to my father from Home Depot and they wouldn't allow him to return it for store credit (he wanted to purchase a different product that day as a replacement) and said he couldn't return without a receipt. He had an equally frustrating experience when he took the receipt. Customer service was rude and not helpful at all. I'm not sure if this is a new return policy as I hadn't had difficultly with returns in the past. While there, a store employee gave misinformation about tools - luckily a construction professional shopping nearby approached to correct the information and guide my father to the correct product. read more
