The weight staff was very attentive, and the bartender can really make a rockin' Margarita! The decor is very high-end in this town. There are clean, beautiful lines, a decorative lit up tree, modern art on the wall. I had a perfectly cooked medium rare ribeye with potatoes, onions and mushroom. It was delicious and tender. My wife had baked salmon over saffron and lime rice. Also delicious. Star appetizer was the flatbread with goat cheese. It was outstanding. Our waiter, Orlando, was attentive and spoke fluent English, in addition to Spanish. We have been in San Carlos for four days now and have eaten essentially every meal out. This was by far the best place we've been. At the end of the meal, they were asking if we wanted dessert. I asked if they had cake because it was my wife's birthday. A few minutes later, out came a piece of delicious strawberry cheesecake with an accompany meant of music over the stereo system singing happy birthday . Excellent attention to detail.

I have not eaten much as I was diving all day. I also ordered 3 beef flautas to go. I looked for the salmon I usually get, and it was not on the menu, but availability and prices change. I get that. Back to the soup ...the broth was bitter and had hardly any spices or flavor. It was such a disappointment...like it was thrown together and microwaved. Usually the broth is rich with complex flavors, like a layered cake. The broth could stand alone with nothing else in it. Yes ..it was that good. I said to the bartender it was very bad, and the bartender apologized. A few seconds later the "cash you out lady" came over and she was a straight up unpleasant. She did not offer any apologies or offer to comp the horrible soup. It was business as usual. I was so disappointed. The flautas- three flautas covered by some type of thrown together shredded lettuce and rice n beans and guacamole. I can say the guacamole was amazing. The beef in the flautas was dried out and tasteless. It tasted frozen. It was a sloppy mess that , once again, seemed thrown together. You can see the difference in the soups in my photos. We came to check out this place on a recommendation and it was incredible. Some of the best Italian food l've had anywhere in the states let alone Mexico. The staff is warm and welcoming, the food was incredible, we had brunch and went back for more later on in the evening. We had pastas and fish that were exceptional. We've been back several times and it has been consistent every time. We would highly recommend visiting this hidden gem. If you're in San Carlos, make your way to this spot, you will not be disappointed. The decor is wonderful and the views from the dining room are incredible, you can watch the most beautiful sunsets in San Carlos from here. The chef/owner Danilo and staff really do a great job. Food ordered was the cilantro chicken, Salmon, vampire margarita, and a blue smoothie. The drinks were just average, the vampire margarita is just a regular margarita mixed with Merlot, and the blue smoothie is a pina colada mixed with blue curacao. The food is the main attraction, the salmon was served over a spiced tomato guac, asparagus, potatoes, and topped with sprouts. The various textures created an awesome blend of flavours with great mouthfeel. The cilantro chicken was the winner here. The creamy cilantro sauce complimented the grilled chicken breast perfectly and provided a nice gravy for the scalloped potatoes, as well as the asparagus. I highly recommend giving this gem a try.
