I got an email back the next morning . That was it! We were off. Lesley scheduled a phone call and we spoke at length. I felt the need to explain over and again that we weren't bad people. That there were legitimate reasons we were in the financial mess we were in. But Lesley never asked... She never assumed anything about me or my husband. She made me feel like finally after several years of juggling and struggling and never ever getting ahead that someone was going to help us. We had a call with Mr. Hinkle and after going over the info I had given Lesley, he said he didn't see how we could keep from filling bk. I am not saying it is easy. There is a lot of info you have to gather, provide and continue to provide after your first meeting with Mr. Hinkle. But Lesley, Donna and Mr. Hinkle are extremely accessible and will answer all your questions in a very timely manner. Mr Hinkle is very upfront about the costs involved. There are some fees that he does not control and are not up to him. He also let us pay his fee in two installments. I sent my first email to his office on April 14 and we had our meeting with the trustee on August 13. If approved as indicated it will be, it should be discharged by mid-October. I finally see light at the end of our tunnel and for the first time in years, I'm allowing myself to think just maybe it isn't a train. Huge thanks especially to Lesley for her patience, constant upbeat and optimistic attitude and for talking me off the ledge whether she knew she was doing it or not. If you are struggling and are considering filling bankruptcy just call. It's free. They are really nice. They might even saved you a few sleepless nights.
