This was pretty popular, all pumps were being used when I arrived. Once one became available, I went inside and was not impressed with the cleanliness of the men's restroom. The freshly made donuts were already taken by an earlier crowd and it was picking up a caffeine drink that became the only option left. Overall, this gas station wasn't at the standards I am accustomed to at Kum & Go convenience stores. I'm sure the higher people traffic contribute to these conditions on a daily basis when you are located at a popular break stop off the 35 freeway.

I search Tires in Mason Ciry, and find/call Tony's Tire. Online says they're closing but they answer, and gentleman says "guys are walking out but bring it by, I'll take a look. Sounds like you're in a bind." Understatement. I'd have to find a hotel and disrupt my whole trip, which would throw off my Thursday in a major way. Twenty minutes later, Tony's has my tire patched, I'm back on the road - at an incredibly reason value mind you - with a huge smile for appreciation of service and helping out a fellow human. Some are mirror images of one another, which I refer to as left hand stores and right hand stores, depending on which way you turn to approach the cash registers. This is a right hand store. When you go into the store, you'll get that feeling of Deja vu, which is exactly what the owners want you to feel. Karuba Coffee, Dunkers, doughnuts, and hot foods are straight back. Rest rooms are on the far end, take a leftt at the cooler. Lottery forms are back there, too, for processing at the registers. The no-fee ATMs are to your left as you enter the store. Out on the gas island, you'll find Unleaded Unleaded Premium, E-85, Unleaded 88, and Diesel #2. The store is 24/7. This is a nearly complete auto and truck plaza, there's a car wash, too! It's a complete convenience store with dairy products, sandwiches, coffee and soft drinks and almost anything you could need in the coolers, freezers and food gondolas. Like all Kwik Trips, the bakery all comes from La Crosse and it's pretty good. If you happen to drive an 18-wheeler, there is a huge fueling station and certified scale. It's easy in and easy out with no silly roundabouts to come through. You'll find Diesel #2, Premium Diesel, and Diesel Exhaust Fluid. It's everything you've come to expect in a Kwik Trip and a whole lot more. By the way, Kwik Star has the best chocolate milk in Iowa!
