According to staff this is no longer a Pilot. The credit card reader didn't work at the pump. I went inside and had to wait in a long line. When I made it to the front, she asked my pump #. I stepped over to look out the window and she made me go to the end of the line to wait again. When I finally got back to the pump to actually get gas, it was the slowest pump I've ever seen! I was filling a 55 gallon tank but it took over 30mins to do so; I've never had it take that long before. read more

If you are driving to New Orleans on I-10 and need gas this is one of your last gas stations you can stop at. I-10 from here to the Nola suburbs is miles of bridge, so make wise use of this station as the restrooms are clean and it is attached to a good sized Subway with dining tables. read more

I've written about here before. it's become more improved with better management the subway is quite good I don't really go into the casino but it seems like people seem pretty content than that one too. the parking lot here though is a joke it has been because you have a lot of locals that think it's their own personal parking spaces but the managers don't want to tell him because given the area you don't know what kind of repercussions could come about basically there's a lot of hood rats here.. and some do drive trucks. although they're doing a very good job on maintaining the bathrooms are cleaning him a lot more often than what they used to which is really nice the coffee especially on the day shift the employees are doing a very good job of keeping it nice and fresh.. garbage is getting picked up a car speeding down here by the areas hurricanes and floods very often and also the canals you got a lot of feral cats running around here but there's not much you can do about that but they're doing a better job maintaining the grounds although you do get tired of seeing cars and people wanting the park and they can't cuz someone thinks it's their own personal space.. not much gets done though cuz I said summer a little bit afraid and I understand why. towing contracts that's kind of you know money talks we know how that goes. but all in all I do stop at this pilot quite a bit in between on my way into the porch in New Orleans a lot when I'm coming out of thibodaux or if I'm headed down into thibodaux it's still a quiet place no riffraff which is a nice thing. so keep up the good work down here at LaPlace I could definitely see the differences.. Most of the Pilot Flying J's I go to have pretty good customer service friendly people . I just upgraded to a 2023 Freightliner and I have been encountering a struggle with the fuel nozzles not fitting between my sleeper birth and the fuel tank I have to twist it to the side and try to aim it in which keeps shutting off the fuel because it goes straight to the side of the tank and thinks that it's overfilled I can't get a fuel because the nozzles aren't fitting most of the time the showers are sludgy I see hair clumped up in a lot of them a lot of them have dirty stores very unsanitary but my company requires that we fuel at Pilot Flying J and since I died I can't even get a full tank of fuel because whoever the nozzle to the fuel pumps has absolutely no experience with Sharkboy whatsoever and it shows read more

Ok I will start off by saying that this pilot is the absolute worst truck stop I've ever been too. Customer service is TRASH! The women who works here act like you made them take the job! Worst attitudes I've ever encountered. Lines at the register be to the back of the store. Employees hide from each other to not have to work and help there fellow co worker. The showers are ok. Fuel isles are TRASH only two pumps actually work on both sides of the truck with the DEF pumps. The rest are one sided working pumps with 0 def. The key pads don't work you have to go all the way in the store to wait in line to get fuel. This place is GARBAGE! I highly recommend to find a rest area your better off there. If I could rate this place 0 stars that's what I would give it ! 1 star is being too generous! read more

Clean restrooms, trash full, towel machines work off & on. Store clean, but looks somewhat jumbled. Not much offered in way of take out foods. No milk. Armor drinks 2 for $5, only small drinks. Ladies, we all know how important a clean bathroom is when stopping at gas stations! This one has been completely remodeled and kept very clean. It is a large station with a store and food. The selection is good, and is very tidy and open. Definitely recommend if you are traveling to or from NOLA and need to stop. read more

Of all the Pilots I have been to, this is, by far, my favorite. Not only is it spacious, clean, and carries a large variety, there is a cashier that anyone would love. Whether it is 10 in the morning or 10 at night, Suzanne always has a big smile and bubbly personality. After a long drive, hearing her southern drawl and seeing her big blue eyes is refreshing. Brought my grandson with me a time or two and even he said papaw, that girls nice. It's things like this that businesses take for granted. read more

Excellent service and very nice 24/7 service Subway that is always really good. Wide variety of everything that you that you need and don't really need. Stop there anytime and enjoy the ambience of this Pilot right the Interstate in Laplace. Make sure to explore Laplace on your way to New Orleans. So nice and so historic, but be careful at night. This is by far the WORST example of interigity that I have ever experienced. My driver stopped for fuel and was pre-authorized for $300. The pump was extremely slow so he stopped at $10 and went back into the store. The clerk (black man with braids) immediately brought conversation of how good the driver smelled and looked. Yes, I was on the telephone during the transaction. He actually spoke like a flirting woman. I instructed my driver to get the receipt and make sure that the sale was cancelled. The clerk assured us that we would only be charged $10 and that he cancelled the sale. Well 2 business days later, our account was CHARGED $300. I have been an accountant for this company for long enough to know the difference between authorizations and charges. I called the store and spoke with Twanwanda, the manager. She is EXTREMELY condensing and rude!!! She explained that driver have stolen fuel in the past so all sales are Pre-Authorized. She also said that the clerk lied and that he knows policy. I think that if the clerk wasn't trying to secure a date, he might could have been more proficient at his job. Twanwanda also stated that if the clerk did not do a refund at the time of sale, that it would go to our bank and fall off of our account in 3 to 5 business days. I tried to tell her that the bank said that there is a difference between pre-authorizations and changes; she stated that the bank did not know what they were talking about, they did not know how fuel purchases worked. By now I am angry, I feel robbed and disrespected, so I asked Twanwanda for her manager. She stated that there is no one above her, so I asked for the owners name and she told me Mike Sibly. I asked for contact information for the owner and she stated that there is none and that the owner pays her to manage the store. Yes she was still condescending and rude. I told her that our conversation ends now, because she is not doing a proficient job in managing and took to social media. I should have done this first. I have read reviews full of rude and dishonest acts at this truck stop!! We will not patronize it anymore. This pilot travel centers is always rocking with people. The facilities are not superclean but the service is generally nice and friendly. The gas here is $.01-$.03 cheaper then the rest of the local competition. If you just left New Orleans this is your best place to fill up until you reach the suburbs of Baton Rouge. read more

if you use your credit card at the pump they put a hold of $151 plus the charge of your gas...example $40. most gas stations put a hold of $1 plus what your gas is till it clears the card. the manager said it was pilot policy for such a large charge. not worth it!!! read more
