I was a delivery driver and was yelled at and CURSED OUT by the cashier around 6:30 Sunday night (Jan 4th). I was given attitude by this guy the moment i walked in and asked about the customer's order, but I brushed that off, assuming it was just a bad day or something. Why was i yelled at? For having the audacity to call the customer and verify that the order was still good (after being informed by that Cashier that they had no drivers come in for 3 days due to "technical issues with Uber"; I have seen system glitches before where orders are "active" but had been delivered already). When the customer asked me why i was calling to confirm that order and i said "their system was having issues with some orders", the already unhinged Cashier then proceeded to yell at me, using f-bombs and calling me an "a**hole" and a liar for my statements. the customer almost certainly heard this behavior over the phone. I didnt say it was Birdies system having issues. I generically said "Their" system. frankly, I dont know whose system was down, and i do not care. My job is to do my due diligence and ensure my customer is taken care of. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHOSE SYSTEM WAS HAVING PROBLEMS! You do NOT curse out your customers EVER! Much less a driver who had NOTHING to do with the technical issues they had. Needless to say my family will never be buying anything from a Birdies again and everyone I know will be made aware of this incident. No business should EVER tolerate its customers, intermediaries, or vendors being treated like that by a staff member. the staff member (white male, late 30's-40's, dark hair. didn't see the name.) needs to be fired immediately. I do not get CVS…read more For the life of me I cannot understand the layout of CVS. I have been to many of their locations and they all seem very oddly designed. The shelves are too low and I can't figure it out. If you are one of the folks who does get the layout, feel free to call me a moron and enjoy your shelves designed for little people. This location has all the quirks of a typical CVS, but it also seems incredibly run down. I am not sure how long it has been there, but it feels old, has a dirty parking lot, and doesn't feel like a place I want to shop. I stopped in here to get some hand sanitizer and some snacks. I was successful in getting these things, but it was not a very pleasant experience. If you're in Destrehan and need a drug store, I would probably seek out a Walgreens. I haven't found one yet, but surely it is better than this CVS.

When I asked about using a coupon to reduce the cost, the employee assisting me directed me to another area and indicated that someone there would help me. I followed the instructions given but was left standing and waiting without any communication from staff. No one acknowledged me or informed me of what I should do next. After several minutes, another customer asked whether I had been helped, and I explained that I had not. Only then did an employee call my name and inform me that my prescription was already ready and that I would need to return to the end of the pickup line. As a result, I had to wait again behind additional customers despite having followed the directions. And I didn't get any prescriptions due to my son with my wife balling crying due to sitting in his car seat so long. Do better.
