I was traveling and stopped for diesel fuel for my RV. The front clerks need more training. It takes far too long to purchase diesel by credit card. This is my 2nd stop and there was no improvement. This place is horrible, a complete dump. 7/1/23 1:00 am. I needed a shower and there was no one in the front of store. I went to the showers to see if anyone was back there and back to the front where I was accosted by an employee who proceeded to talk to me like I was one of her bad children. This place is absolutely disgusting. Pulled in yesterday which was October 3 just before noon and the sandwiches that are in the fridge are still in there from yesterday when we pulled in the coffee has not been changed at all and they don't change it until they're empty they don't care what it tastes like. To me as a 3 pot a day coffee drinker that is absolutely nasty!!! Equipment doesn't look like it's ever been cleaned!!! They also turn off their pumps between midnight and 6 AM which is another thing I'm not understanding considering nobody else does that either. We usually stop at Pilot Travel Centers while on the road because they are generally reliable, but this one was very outdated, none of the drinks were stocked, and they only had one register open and a few employees working, so why more weren't open and the drinks stocked, I don't know. When I am traveling up I-81 and need to stop before I head up into the mountains, this is where I stop. The store and restrooms are adequately clean. Stopped by today to fill up on my daily commute to Harrisburg, as I usually do about 3 times per week. For the past 2 weeks, when I stopped, the pumps were extremely slow. No changing table. 1 register opened even though I've seen 4 employees in shirts wandering around. 1 of them was standing in front of Subway/Auntie Annes bitching about her job. No price tags on anything... Walk up to the Auntie Annes counter at 3:30 on a Sunday and they have nothing made. Keep going another exit and pick a different rest stop. location - rt. 125 - car wash hegins,pa. incedent - ran off curb and damaged my car reason - extremely bad design . a 4 car wash bay , with only 2 bay sloped ramp to rt. 125, if you exit the 2 left bays , and are unaware of this design flaw , your vehicle will plunge over a raised curb and smash onto the road surface , and in my case my low 2012 camaro suffered some body damage, and possibly other structual damage. going to garage today , and lift it to check the underbody. in this case , i think the designers and owner are negligent due to th fact , there is no signage or road emblems indicating that you have to make a right turn upon exiting the wash bay , in order to safely access rt. 125. as of this posting , after numerous attempts to contact pilot , i have not had any replies back from them. read more
