I used Pimlico Plumbers to fix my front door as the top hinge had broken. On their first visit of about 10 minutes, they said 2 new hinges would have to be ordered and then replaced. This visit cost £168. After several reminders, they finally came two months later. I had been using my back door to leave and enter. During the second visit, the Pim P chap said he needed to go to a timber merchant to get a small piece of wood to align the hinge with the door (which was done lazily). After two hours, the Pim P chap said he had finished the job. I noticed he had only replaced the top hinge. The door was also snagging slightly; probably due to not replacing the wonky bottom hinge as agreed. As I had now clocked up a further £200 or so, I decided to not say anything. I found out later the hinge came with a packer so the trip to the timber merchant was unnecessary. Not only was this done during chargeable time but Pim P also added a markup of 45% as a "handling charge". Charge for the time taken to source materials or add a handling charge but not both, surely? When I complained to customer services they said it was clearly stated on the Pim P website. It does say a handling charge will be added but doesn't mention 45%. So not clear at all. In the end, I bought a second hinge myself and got someone else to do the job. This required removing and repositioning the top hinge to align the door correctly. To be fair to PimP, they did give me a partial refund (even that took 3 weeks) but in the end, all they really did was supply the top hinge (which took 2 months). This cost me about £250. Oh, and they also left an oily stain on my carpet where chap left the old hinge parts.

On the 7th of July we've experienced a leakage in our laundry room. We've called Pimlico Plumbers and soon engineer Scott arrived. We left the water where it leaked out so the engineer could assess the situation. After around 5-10 minutes he concluded that the hot water cylinder was broken and it was leaking. He suggested installing new one which we based on his expertise agreed on. On the 8h of July engineer Scott arrived. I informed him that there was no further leakage and we used showers and all of the appliances as normal. His response to that was that hot water masks the leakage (which made me think why it didn't mask it before as it was also hot). Soon after second engineer arrived and knowing the cost of the installation I was trying to make sure it was the cylinder I've asked him the same question and his response was the same and they were adamant it was the cylinder that was leaking. Moreover at that time (before the engineers carried out any work and where still unpacking) my partner came out of the shower and informed the engineers that the water pressure was very low. Their response to that was very vague "yeah, that sometimes happens". They didn't pick up any clue and started the process of removing old cylinder (4 years old with a lifetime warranty as we've learnt later...). Once the cylinder was removed the engineer M.H. brought round, plastic, bottom cover to the room where I was working and pointed to two small cracks on the opposite sides of the cover proving that was the cause of the leakage (which having examined the cylinder before I have not noticed and suspected that they've occurred during the removal of the cylinder). I questioned asking if that part was supposed to hold the water as it seemed pretty flimsy and he replied to that "No it was only decorative" and lead me to the laundry room where pointed to the stains on the floor around (which I have seen before) and a bit below the cylinder. He didn't show me cracks or anything on the actual cylinder which was placed in a very unaccessible position making it impossible to investigate. However, trusting engineers' expertise that the cylinder was the cause of the leakage I let them proceed with the installation of the new one. An hour or so later, once the part of the installation has finished engineer Scott came to the room and stated: "Bad news, now the pump is leaking"... I asked how is this possible that two items started leaking at the same day? Scott didn't say anything letting other engineer answer the question. He said that the cylinder was also leaking but at the very slow rate. I asked him about evidence and wanted to examine the actual cylinder only to find out that it's been already taken to be scrapped and basically all of the evidence was gone. So engineer M.H.'s argument was that what proves that cylinder was also leaking is the fact that there stains around the cylinder. I suggested experiment and letting the water leak from a pump to see where it was going to go. If it was going to go in opposite direction then yes, no doubt the cylinder was leaking. Engineer M.H. was trying to stop me from doing that and used level to prove that the water from the pump couldn't leak around the cylinder. I insisted and unfortunately for the engineers the experiment proved them wrong water went EXACTLY around the outline of where the old cylinder was and then underneath it. Obviously having spent all day removing old and installing new cylinder I didn't expect them to admit that it was the pump at first place and cylinder was completely fine and were still adamant that the cylinder was leaking and all of my arguments were ignored and the couple was clearly getting stressed and their arguments inconsistent. I even asked that according to M.H.'s theory even if the cylinder was leaking the leakage that Scott witnessed the day before couldn't be caused by the cylinder but it must have been the pump, so he misdiagnosed the cause of that leak - M.H. said he wasn't there the day before and Scott was quiet. There was still some work left to be carried out so I had no choice but let the engineers finish the job. Scott suggested ordering new pump with the possible installation the next day and having no other choice I agreed on that. So having spent £3,408 on new cylinder I was left with the exactly same sort of leakage in exactly the same place and of the same volume as the day before. Your website says that the owner of Pimlico Plumbers Charlie Mullins has a no-nonsense , black and white attitude - me too and in this case you can clearly see that a lot of money has been spent and there was no effect at all, water leaked exactly how it did before the job was not done. In my view the engineer Scott probably trying to fit in a 1h time-frame, rushed and inattentive misdiagnosed the cause of the issue which left it unresolved and resulted in replacing fully working cylinder. read more

Do not trust this company. My boiler's gas valve needed replacing. Pimlico said it was impossible to get the part and tried to sell me a new boiler. I found the exact same part, new in the box with guarantee, at a plumbers' merchants the next day. Pimlico Plumbers are either fraudulent or incompetent. Do not trust the information or advice they give you. read more

This has to be the first time I've ever reviewed a company and I'm so angry with Pimlico Plumbers that I just have to warn people before they get as angry as I do. I called PP to get an engineer out for my wine cooler fridge and even though it says VERY CLEARLY on their website: "Pimlico uses specialist appliance engineers who offer a professional service for installations, repairs and services on all white goods and other appliances." Wine cooler fridges apparently are not white goods. The funniest thing is that being a little technical myself, I told Nicole (controller) what I thought the problem could be ie the refrigerant (gas) had leaked and she advised me that they don't deal with fridges connected to gas mains.... WT* What kind of company puts customer facing staff that don't have a gram of common sense, have no general idea of how appliances work and rude enough to hang up the phone in mid conversation? I have seen PP vans running about my area as far back as i can remember and I've always thought very highly of them... NOT ANYMORE. IF YOU SAY YOU DEAL WITH ALL WHITE GOODS THEN DEAL WITH ALL WHITE GOODS. I'm going to repost this review on every site I can, why?! Because I can and I want to know why your expert engineers cannot fix a simple fridge. read more

My worst ever client experience. Wake up Christmas Eve to find water leaking through my ceiling. Take day off trusted local plumber away for Xmas I phone Pimlico as need certainty of service and given there extensive advertising and morally superior stance I accept their inflated charges (£180 call out). They advise will arrive 11-3 then call running late now 2-6 at 5.30 call to say can't make it now as have a more important job to attend. In that 8 hours they scuppered any chance of getting this sorted Xmas eve. Now Xmas day can't use water and flow through ceiling increased. This is a company who threaten lawyers on "unfair" reviews, my name is mark squire you have my contact details. My advice find a good local plumber in case your personal crisis is not "important" enough for Pimlico plumbers read more

I've had an absolute nightmare with this firm! I used Pimlico Plumbers for the first time as my boiler had stopped working. They were much more expensive than other firms but we used them due to their reputation and because we didn't want any hassle. The engineer attended promptly and got the boiler working again. However, it continued to make a strange noise. When this was raised with the engineer, he dismissed this and said that the boiler was working again and therefore he'd done his job. Unfortunately, the noise continued and became progressively worse, then just over a week later the boiler stopped working again. After calling the call centre to explain this and express our surprise that after less than two weeks the boiler was once again not working, we were informed that we would have to wait another two days to have it seen to as the same engineer would have to come. We expressed our concern that the boiler had clearly not been properly fixed and highlighted the inconvenience of being without hot water for such a period. We were assured that the engineer would do a 'call-back' free of charge to assess the issue and that if it was related to the same issue as before, any subsequent work would be carried out for free. Therefore, knowing that at least the 'call-back' assessment would be free of charge we waited until the engineer could attend our property again. We had decided that should it turn out to be an unrelated issue then we would enlist the services of a different (cheaper firm) to fix it instead. Upon his arrival the engineer confirmed that the issue had not been resolved fully previously and upon further investigation he sorted it out by fixing the underlying problem (a blocked pipe). However, the engineer produced an invoice for £144 before leaving. I explained what I had been told by the call centre staff member - i.e. that this would be investigated and corrected free of charge as part of the 'call-back' procedure providing it was related to the same issue as before, which in this case it clearly was. However, I was told that it was not related. There was no transparency in this process and we were misled regarding the cost. We were of the understanding right up until we were presented with the invoice that the work would be carried out free of charge. The only reason we agreed to the engineer coming back was because we felt we had nothing to lose. If we'd have known that the visit would be chargeable regardless of whether we agreed for work to be done, we would not have agreed for him to come back. Logic tells me that two problems with the same underlying cause could not conceivably be described as unrelated. However, Pimlico plumbers insisted that the problems were unrelated and therefore chargeable. I suspect that whatever was found to have been the problem would have been deemed 'unrelated' and therefore chargeable. Furthermore, if it was the plumber's view that the problem was indeed unrelated he should have made this clear before proceeding to fix it. We exhausted their complaints process and Pimlico Plumbers' response to this issue makes it apparent that their desire to squeeze as much money out of their customers as possible takes precedence over any kind of customer satisfaction. I used pimlico plumbers originally as I naively thought that the premium service being offered - at a premium cost - would actually mean that a premium service would be delivered. I won't make that mistake again. read more

We had a carpenter come and paid £780 for a 3x2m oak worktop to be fitted - double what everyone else quoted, but was willing to pay for this given it was a reputable company who could do the job quickly. It was a really poor experience at every touch point. The guy came, but the information that they were oak worktops hadn't been passed on from the office person who took my call, the hole for the sink was cut to big, the kitchen was left untidy after the work and the hob was part fitted in the wrong place (where he siliconed it down 'to secure it' and added putty). I was informed he shouldn't have fitted it - however it was evident he partly had. And I am confused as to why he would 'secure it' with silicon (which is also not a material compliant to fitting a hob) only for another person to come the next day to unsecure it? I have raised this argument to customer service - but it has fallen on deaf ears. I wasn't informed by the PP professional that there were items missing either - brackets from the hob (so he just ignored it). I have then been treated awfully by customer service who have denied liability and blamed a smaller gas company for not fitting the hob (who I have been in contact and they have said it is Pimlico Plumbers for sealing it). I have been left with no option but to call a new company as noone has been able to resolve my issue. Deeply disappointed. read more

An expensive experience with using Pimlico Plumbers I booked Pimlico Plumbers for a Friday visit. On Thursday morning they called and asked if they could come that morning. At 10.33 I was told they would arrive in half an hour. I said I needed 45 mins. They actually arrived at 10.53. I was charged from time of arrival of plumber even though I was not ready to let him in. Plumber complained about waiting! I had asked for radiators to be replaced. Plumber on arrival did not know what the job was & then insisted on phoning office to get a quote which he said was for 2 days work fixed fee (work required was more than initial agreement). I refused price of £1499 plus vat. I asked him to do part of the work during his visit - he reluctantly did one job in 15 mins. I was charged the time for the quote and for writing out the invoice; the invoice showed 5 minutes more than actually was spent on premises - £180 for visit most of which was taken up with plumber telephoning for quote and arguing with me about starting the work there and then to actually do something in the hour I was paying for. I was not told when I booked that I would end up paying for 3/4 of an hour just to do quote and pay the bill. read more

Appalling service. The guy showed up and tinkered for a few minutes, charged me £234, left and the boiler was in the same condition as before he came. Beware of their scam to leave for 20 mins (which you are paying for) to retrieve their card machine or invoice pad (why don't they carry this) at the end of each job. Completely overpriced and a systematic scamming operation. Dylan, Earls Court read more

With this company I think a lot depends on the skill of the individual plumber who calls. They are expensive but their charges are upfront and the first time I used them the plumber expertly found and repaired a pin-hole in a pipe under our floorboards so we didn't mind paying. The 2nd time we had a leak a different plumber couldn't find the source but still charged £240 for less than 1 hours work (it was a call-out in the early hours) and initially booked himself to come back the next morning to begin lifting all our floorboards to find the leak. I thought better of it and contacted another plumber who on arrival simply 'wiggled' a few pipes under the sink and found that one of them was loose! - Needless to say I'll be writing to Pimlico to 'request' a refund... read more

NOT GUARANTEED AND UNRELIABLE My boiler was not keep up pressure and as the end of the day was approaching on a cold November night, I called Pimlico plumbers to attend to it. Their engineers, polite and clean cut diagnosed the fault very quickly "found leak in ensuite bathroom radiator so made safe". He told us that we should consider a new towel rack (he provided a quote of £550+VAT) and also he said that he had not heard of our boiler brand before so we should consider changing the boiler at some point. When asked whether any of these repairs were urgent he said no. We paid £156 which we considered fair under the circumstances. Fast forward12 hours and the system has not pressure and we have no heat. These things happen of course, so Ii expected the nice man to come back and go over his work. Pimlico were quick to point out that their work was not guaranteed and a new visit by the engineer would be chargeable at £156/hour. When I pointed out that it had been less than 12 hours since the repair I was referred back to the invoice which said that the work was not guaranteed. I asked to speak to a manager, but I was told that the managers are busy and would not say anything different. I brought in a plumber for another company who quickly identified another leak in the system (pretty obvious as there was water under the radiator) and quickly fixed it. I emailed Pimlico again with this information and I was told that their engineer would not look for another leak once he found one (supposingly to save the customer money). Considering that there were only 5 radiators and one had water under it, I hardly think that much investigation was needed, especially since the engineer had bled the radiator and would have seen the leak. All in all, if you are considering using this company, beware that they do not stand behind their work even if their repair lasts less than 12 hours. read more

Worst company ever! - do not use them! We had a dinner party on a Saturday night and called in an emergency plumber. When the plumber arrived he advised the Pimlico Plumbers had sent the wrong individual to sort out the problem. Despite this, Pimlico Plumbers charged us. When we phoned to lodge a complaint/get the bill reduced, Pimlico Plumbers verified that they had sent the wrong person. However, despite this, they were not willing to waive the fee or reduce the bill. Appalling! read more

PLEASE DO NOT USE - COMPLETE SCAM. Pimlico's electrician turned up late then took 8.5hrs (at £90/hr ex. VAT), vs the 4.5 I was originally quoted, to do three simple jobs - move a smoke detector 2 metres, change an electric mirror (already had one in that location) and to move a thermostat. The first two took over 3.5 hours including going out to get a drill bit (I had told them there was bathroom work before they arrived) for over an hour (at lunchtime, surprisingly!) then he was about to walk out on the last job after messing about for 3 hours trying to find a wire. As he was leaving I managed to google the thermostat, find the wire and show him where it needed to go - all in under 5 mins, he then took another 2 hours to do the job. This was a Friday job he was determined to drag out to rake in the cash. This has left me with less than half my pay this month for something I could have done myself but wanted to have done properly. This was not the company to trust to do that. The work was adequate but Pimlico's electrician was poorly trained, poorly motivated and fundamentally dishonest. Then Customer Services couldn't even be bothered to take it seriously afterwards. At the end of the day just another set of conmen but with some nice branding. read more

We called Pimlico Plumbers with an emergency blocked drain at the back of our house. They convinced us that it was privately owned, as it was on our property and presented us with a large bill for the drain clean. Later we checked with Thames Water who agreed to pay a small amount, which they felt was appropriate, towards the cost. Pimlico Plumbers wouldn't even acknowledge the apparent error. Hopefully other people won't make the same mistake. If in doubt call Thames Water first. read more

£1080 pounds later they have still not fully fixed my boiler. Check your invoice. I double checked the prices of the parts they did install and they over charged me by £100. I looked more closely and found that the technition charged a rate £40 more than what they had listed on their website. When I wrote to complain all they did was argue with me and tell me that everything was done by their standards and sited a bunch of hidden fees and costs that justified their overblown bill. Never again. read more

When I phoned up to book the appointment, I made it very clear that it would be the tenant the engineer will be meeting not myself, I was informed that he would call on site to talk me through the issue and how to resolve it. I never received a call and It was only when I called the engineer had agreed with the tenant to go ahead with any works which would of cost £900 plus VAT to fix a leaking shower try. At no point the engineer asked if the tenant was the owner or have any authority to commission the works. Very poor customer service and very very expensive. read more

I've got a call on a Saturday evening that the restaurant was flooded; decided to call somebody I thought I could trust. £192 to attend the site and diagnose the fault, which I agreed to pay. The 'engineer' went on site (within the hour, I must say...) and diagnose the fault as a faulty toilet tank - costs to repair an extra £580. Spent 20 minutes onsite, collected £192 and left. When I went to inspect the damage the morning after I found out the flood was simply caused by a pipe that got disconnected from the wall - and I'm not a plumber! I went to the local DIY store, got the replacement part (a 'T' pipe) for £4.72 and fitted myself - mind you, it took me almost 20 minutes because I literally didn't know what I was doing. That's it, job done - and I wasn't £580 poorer... When I contacted them asking for an explanation they requested pictures of the fault and lengthy description of the situation in order to 'investigate properly'... only to stand by their decision: no apology, no refund. To be honest: the toilet tank is defective and it leaks, but that didn't cause the flood. It's still leaking today but by such an tiny amount it doesn't create any problem. And at least my restaurant is open - and definitely not thanks to these cowboys. Enjoy your £192 lads - that's the last you'll ever see from this side of Fulham. Terrible service - gave me 10 minutes notice that they were going to be an hour late, then charged me more than £250 for spending 90 minutes trying to diagnose what was wrong with my boiler. I would AVOID this company at all costs. Their engineers are dishonest and very unprofessional. The engineer who visited me (a single student at the time) insisted that he had to leave to purchase parts. (I'm sure that he was just sitting in his van around the corner-they charge for the time). it took him an awful long time to repair a non-flushing toilet and the bill was extortionate £270+ I would NEVER use this company again or recommend that anyone else use them either they should be investigated for fraud and malpractice. read more

I had heard that Pimlico Plumbers were expensive but reliable so decided to bite the bullet. The estimate I agreed to turned out to be incorrect as there was one complication after the other which meant I paid over £8000 to have a combi boiler installed. Furthermore there were several issues not addressed so I had to get a gas inspector, electrician AND plumber in to solve these. All of them expressed their surprise at the cost and the poor quality of the job. So not an experience I would wish on anyone to have... read more

We had an issue with our drains in the kitchen and called Pimlico as we had used them before and they were aware of the situation and advised us to have the initial kitchen plumbing installation rectified. The first visit seemed fine but after a few days, the drainage backed up and we had a flooded kitchen. We called Pimlico again to rectify it which they did, but at such poor standard that it backed up again. It was clear that the first plumber had made significant mistakes and had the pipes leaning the wrong direction and the second plumber just made things worse. The third person, from Pimlico, finally rectified it correctly and made clear that both his colleagues should have done a better job. We were charged all three visits at a very hefty price, even though it was clear that the first two plumbers hadn't done a good job, something that was admitted by the third plumber. Pimlico didn't want to reimburse the two first visits. The customer service was terrible and we had to fight through our credit card company to get some of the money back. Shoddy work and atrocious customer service! Will never use them again. read more

I called Pimlico Plumbers because the heating was working intermittently therefore I knew that it could not be the boiler (6 years old Worcester Grecnstar) which was working albeit intermittently. The plumber called Anthony Staines found out that there was no signal between the thermostat and the receiver. He decided to switch off the receiver which took him few minutes. He also replaced the batteries in the thermostat with used (!!) batteries. He advised that further investigation was necessary. The following day, to get the boiler to work properly with communication between the thermostat and the boiler, I called the plumber who installed the boiler for me. Without looking at it he knew immediately that it was the 2 AA batteries in the thermostat which had not been changed since the boiler was installed. Upon inspection, he found out that the Pimlico plumber had put in 2 very used batteries therefore there was still no communication between the thermostat and the receiver. So I had to pay £252.00 to Pimlico Plumbers for 2 USED AA batteries and £50 to the second plumber who diagnosed the problem properly and put in new batteries. Whole exercise thanks to Pimlico Plumbers cost me £300. If the owner has become a millionaire it is thanks to ripped off customers like me. Steer clear and avoid at all cost! You have been warned! read more

We had a very poor experience with Pimlico and would definitely recommend to stay away from them. We have had problems with our underfloor heating for some time and decided to go to Pimlico knowing that they would be more expensive than a usual plumber, but hoped that they would at least get to a solution eventually. The experience is that they company will attempt to drag out and extend the repairs for as long as possible to increase the hours charged. On the first visit, the engineer charged 2 hours simply to open up the vent on the boiler and "watch" air vent out of the system. He then suggested changing a pump. On the second visit they installed a pump at a cost of £477 for the pump only, I later looked on line for the cost of this pump and ranges between £220/£250. Furthermore, the engineer took 3 hours to install the pump (maybe 30 minutes?), followed by 2.5 hrs of watching. Total cost charged for the two visits was £1,450, and despite the cost, the problem was not solved in any way as the pump was not the problem. They then suggested a power flush of the system quoting £2,100!!! We've had a power flush done before and the cost was around £350. Thus, £1450 down and the problem is not any different. This company essentially runs on racking up hours and escalating the repairs to incredible levels, and in our case not solving the problem. Furthermore, charging double for a pump than a normal retail price is simply unjustifiable. read more

Summary: Bit better prices than other similar companies we contacted, fair treatment, good service, were not able to give me the exact hour when they arrive only a time range of up to four hours Why did we call them? When the washing machine in the apartment we are renting broke down less than two months after we moved in, we thought that after persuading our landlord to buy a new one, installing it would be the simplest thing ever. We were wrong. Soon we discovered that our apartment doesn't have any central cock to stop water supply and that most of the many partial valves don't work. Among these not functioning cocks were also the two stop-valves controlling the water supply to the washing machine. That meant any effort to unscrew and attach the water supply hoses to the new washing machine would result in flooding the whole kitchen. As the landlord didn't respond to our inquiries, we decided to act by ourselves (the pile of unwashed laundry in the bathroom was quickly growing). We turned to internet, called a few companies and eventually decided for Pimlico Plumbers. One of the reasons we chose them was that among all the overpriced plumbers of London, these seemed to offer slightly better prices (even though the difference wasn't big). With the added value tax, the price per hour was about 100 pounds during the weekdays, extra charges for the weekend and you also have to pay for any material required. As I work from home most of the time, we arranged for the plumber to come on Monday morning. They weren't able to give me the exact hour, more of a time range, so I had to be on call the whole morning. A friendly guy dressed in a blue uniform arrived at about ten o clock, introduced himself as Bill and started exploring our problem. He stopped after less than 15 minutes and told me to call the landlord. He explained that the valves are not working at all and need to be replaced. To do this, the pipe needs to be frozen. This operation, however would take up to four hours and, as he understood we were only renting the place, the costs should be covered by the landlord. I appreciated his fair treatment. The landlord, however, said, he wants to call his own plumber so I sent Bill away. We left London for Christmas and expected that upon our return two weeks later, the problem would be solved. It wasn't. We called Pimlico again and asked for this particular Bill plumber to come and change our valves. Once again, they weren't able to give us the exact time and once again I had to be on call from 10 am to 2 pm. This time, the plumber arrived quite late. However once here, he changed the valves quite quickly, installed the new washing machine, checked whether everything works and shared his concern that our landlord is a jerk. He finished in two and half hours, which was less than expected. Still it cost us some 300 pounds.... At least, after more than a month, we were finally able to do the laundry. read more

Good workmen but appallingly rude, offensive and aggressive customer service staff. I have now used this company twice. I will never use them again. Unfortunately the second time I used Pimlico Plumbers, the repair carried out on my boiler only lasted for seven weeks before it started leaking again. As I had paid £660 to have the boiler fixed I phoned the company to see if I could get someone to take another look at the boiler. I didn't phone to ask for a refund, nor to complain about the rate charged - I just wanted to get my boiler working properly and I was perfectly happy to pay another call out fee if need be. I received a call back from a lady called Sam, who instead of arranging to get a plumber out to see if the boiler could be repaired again, went straight on to the offensive. She told me that I couldn't get a refund and that the work was not under guarantee. She also told me that paying £660 for a repair to last 7 weeks was totally reasonable. She did however offer to send out a plumber to do an estimate for me to get a new boiler fitted! If you do choose to use this company don't believe the 'Pimlico Promise' and don't expect them to honour any guarantee but do pray that you don't have to deal with their 'customer service' staff. read more

I recently instructed Pimlico Plumbers to come and fix a faulty shower which so far had stumped three other plumbers. I was despondent. Yet another day off work, more money down the plughole.but then John Sayner arrived from Pimlico Plumbers punctual and with a smiling face, he took off his shoes to walk on our carpet and he was really polite and he had a sense of humour and nothing was too much trouble and he didn;t make sucking noises through his teeth like a lot of plumbers. I crossed my fingers that his work would live up to expectations. Could I be so lucky to find a plumber who could do the job and was a pleasure to deal with, surely not! but oh yes, John was FANTASTIC!!! did the job, fixed the problem and cleaned up!! And then when i mentioned that I had a problem with a leaking roof he offered to look at that as well, not only did he find the problem but he fixed it. Of course I had to pay but it saved me so much money because he was on site AND he fixed my bath seal at the same time . Ok it was expensive but worth every penny. Well Done John Sayner you are a gem and a credit to Pimlico Plumbers. Yes I will recommend to anybody great service." read more

I would like to commend you for the excellent service provided by your company in our hour of need. With a boisterous 2 year old and a pregnant wife I was at my wits end with my unreliable combi boiler. A local plumber had patched it up several times, but finally it gave up the ghost I had to replace it. I decided that if the job was worth doing, it was worth doing properly so I contacted Pimlico Plumbers, I was delighted that you were able to supply an engineer (Jeff Brown) on my doorstep within 1/2 hour. He was obviously well trained, experienced and professional. He was able to explain the options cleary to me and instilled great confidence that he'd do a proper job. And so it was. The brand new boiler was installed and working by the following evening. The engineer worked tidily whilst in our home, and did an excellent job of making good at the end of the fitting. He also took the time to explain the workings of the system and to properly complete the paperwork. I will not hesitate to use Pimlico for any plumbing needs in the future, and will certainly recommend your company to friends. Mr Brown is an excellent ambassador for your company. read more

BEST PLUMBER IN LONDON - 4 sure! Maybe even whole of UK.. I had a visit from the ' most senior ' plumber (this is how i requested it) a month ago to give me the tenth plumber opinion what to do about my non functioning second hand (big mistake!!) megaflo vented system (or so?) and radiators that didnt work. The problem is that im part of an ex local council estate and hot water and gas comes from a communal boiler house. Ok way too much info that i wished i never had to know myself even. Bottom line: All plumbers gave me different advice but no one could fix it. Then there came Rob Solari who promised the same but DID FIX IT. And more; he found out the system was connected to the electricity hence my huge electricity bill. I told him i would wait a month to post my review to truly observe if he is the magician he promised to be. One month on it all still works like magic. Pimlico is not cheap but its definitely worth investing in a good plumber (time and moneywise). Rob is a great sweet neat person too which was a nice addition to his excellent brain. read more

This morning at around 10am I came off my scooter on Westminster Bridge Road. One of your staff was driving a Pimlico Plumbers truck with the license plate 'FIX WC' in front of me when the incident happened. Whilst the incident was absolutely no fault of his, he showed great kindness by stopping his vehicle and rushing back to help me. In fact, he was so quick to assist that he was by my side before I knew what had happened. He then proceeded to help me up, get my bike to the kerb and sat me down on a nearby wall. He only left once he know that I was ok. I am writing to you firstly to tell you that you have in your employment a very caring citizen who has given me renewed faith in humanity. Secondly to pass on my heartfelt thanks to this gentleman and to tell him that I really appreciate him stopping to help. This may seem a little over the top to write to you for such a minor incident but please bear in mind that he was the only driver on this busy road to stop and assist. Thanks and keep on employing people like him. read more

I wanted to thank your organization. More specifically I wanted to commend the work of David who has now done three jobs for us. He's an amazing asset to your organization. David's work has always been top quality. The last job he really pulled out all the stops. He managed to do a really neat piece of work on our gutters together with some repairs to damage to our building caused by the gutter problem. I had many other people quote the job and walk away as it looked too complex. Not David, he came up with three options, discussed those with me and we agreed on a preferred route. He then got on doing his usual quality work. He needs to know that the work looks great and it works last downpour our roof managed to drain without any problem. I realise that you are a little more expensive than the competition. However, I have no hesitation in using you or recommending you. I know in the long run the money is well spent.Well done as it not often that one has the chance to commend goodservice." read more

I will defiantly be using Pimlico again! I called PP out due to a small drip from our bath mixer that has been happening for quite a while (we used to mask the dripping noise by hanging a scruffy sponge over the taps) but we finally thought it was time to repair our problem tap! The lady on the phone (who's name I can not remember) was very helpful and told me someone would be able to be there within the hour! Unfortunately I was out at that time so I requested for a later date and it got booked in for between 2-6 with an half an hours notice call before arrival. As promised, at 2:45 I got a call to say the engineer was on the way to me (this was very helpful as I knew just when to expect company). When James arrived he was very polite and helpful, he fixed my drippy tap quickly and also helped me with getting a quote for a whole new referb for my bathroom that I have been thinking to do for quite a while - Now I have my quote I will be sure to call them once I have the money to do so! Thank you! read more

I hired Pimlico to resolve a blocked drainage issue at my home, and my experience has been far from satisfactory. Despite charging more than GBP 600 for their service, the drainage problem reappeared within a few days. When I contacted them for a resolution, I was informed that they don't offer any guarantee for their work and would not fix the problem without an additional fee. This was highly disappointing, given the initial high cost and the expectation of professionalism and a job well done. I am left with a recurring issue, out of pocket, and with the added inconvenience of having to seek out a new plumber to correct the problem. I would not recommend Pimlico based on my experience. read more

Thank goodness for Pimlico Plumbers!! Recently, my boiler broke down during a particularly cold spat. When you think of a domestic boiler breakdown its easy to conjure the nightmare spectre of unsatisfactory workmanship in tandem with a huge bill. But Pimlico Plumbers have restored my faith in humanity and British tradesmen generally. They did a sterling job with minimum mess or disturbance and the price they quoted was the one they stuck to. I was really impressed and would recommend them, without reserve, to anyone looking for plumbers who are reliable, reasonable, dont leave a trail of destruction behind them and have a sound knowledge of their own trade. read more

I was frightened to use them as the price list on their website is rather scary. I used them after phoning a fair few other local companies trying to find someone but getting nowhere. I was at work and needed them to move some gas pipes while the kitchen fitters were in. I called them and amazingly they turned up within a couple hours of my call. The service was excellent with calls beforehand and afterwards. The kitchenfitters said they were very quick and did a good job. I'd definitely use them again for minor work, but for big jobs I'd probably get some quotes from other places too. read more

Had a boiler that was making too much noise so got PImlico plumbers around to check it out. The guy arrived promptly and informed me I needed a replacement part and service (which seemed fair enough) but that it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours. Once the part was ordered the guy came back and was good and professional. My main complaint would be that they give you a four hour window in which they will arrive which (if it's 10-2 as it was in my case) is a hefty slug of the day that you have to take off just to wait for the the plumber. Other than that pretty good. read more

Beware of Pimlico! When faced with a leak, I called them. Their plumber advised destroying my bathtub and drilling my neighbor's ceiling, which I later found out was unnecessary. Instead, a friend recommended a competent company, who fixed the issue in under two hours - surprise, the leak was under the bathtub, a full-blown waterfall! This new team skillfully repaired it, left tiles intact, and charged fairly. Pimlico's incompetence cost me around £500, broken tiles, and stress from their unnecessary actions. Don't make my mistake - avoid Pimlico and opt for genuine expertise! read more

Tidy, polite, plumbers comes round at agreed time. Problem solved every time but VERY expensive. Some examples from last two months Over £1800 for a boiler shift (1meter) Over £400 for subsquent repair on boiler hose connector (overtighted during precious work but apparently not under guarantee) Over £400 for a toilet cystern over-flow issue Be aware that engeneer may not have parts to fix problem and will have to go them (and this may take some time). It will difficult to get parts at night. Stay focused on what has been quoted and the amount of time the job should take. read more

Just want to pass on my thanks for delivery an excellent service. Needed to fix taps in the kitchen and attach mains stopcock. Brendan Falsey arrived promptly on time and in a short time was able to locate the mains stopcock no mean feat as over the past decade other plumbers before had tried and failed to locate the main stopcock. Brendan fixed the tap, cleaned up after and provided sound recommendations. No question was ever an issue for Brendan. If this is the level of plumbers Pimlico have then I will not hesitate to use them again. Thanks Brendan & Pimlico." read more

Yesterday I had to calll a plumber as I had a leek in my kitchen, Pimlico Plumbers were recommended to me I cannot express enough what a good job Kevin Lugard did. It was not straight forward as I had a built in kitchen fitted recently and Kevin had to remove parts of units to get the machine out . It had not been installed correctly. The work carried out and was a first class job a true professional and a very good advertistment for your firm. Will definately use you again and would not hesitate to reccomend your company to a friend. Virginia Ross SW15 read more

I'd like to let you know that Tony Kilbryde, who came to sort out my problem with taps and drains today, was absolutely great: polite, friendly, extremely helpful, well informed and I particularly appreciated the fact that rather than taking the easy but much more expensive option which was to drive off and get new taps or new 'insides' he took the time and trouble to get the existing taps to work. If you are looking for someone to demonstrate how to live and breathe the Pimlico Plumber brand Tony is your man. read more

I meant to drop you a line on Monday to say how blown away I was by y our service. All I wanted was my dishwasher packing up first thing on a monday morning with screaming wife and kids but your operator was a breath of fresh air - friendly, professional and got an engineer (Marco Boncimino) to us in 20 mins. My wife was barely back from the school run! I was cynical of PP as you look just too polished. I'm pretty handy myself and know great service when I see it so hats off. read more

Thank You: I came back from a wonderfull Holiday and found that my ceiling had collapsed due to a leak in my loft which in turn soaked into the plasterboard ceiling, than that fell onto my bathroom floor, I was very concerned, but was soon put at ease by a nice lady on the telephone, she arranged for two tradesmen to be at my property within a couple of hours, they soon found the leak and went on to repair the whole ceiling as well, so thank you very much for the time and effort. read more
