This airport has a lot of connectivity to other airports throughout Europe and north Africa. We recently caught a direct flight from Eindhoven airport into Marrakesh, Morocco for our seventh marriage anniversary trip and it was so very convenient for us. Some of the boarding procedures struck me as odd because since this is a very small airport, you are made to stand outside and walk to your plane. I have done this another small airports but we were made to stand outside in the freezing rain for a long time due to slight miscommunications before we got the green signal to board our plane. If they could iron out these small inefficiencies, I would give this airport five stars.

The one shop is "groundside" and yes, my ticket let me scan out and then back in a second time thankfully. The station is clean, well lit and needs more seating for waiting passengers. The cashier who initially served me provided great customer service, but her colleague was very abrupt, aggressive, and rude. When the system went down, I was unable to receive my train tickets. I also have a railway discount that I can only get at the ticket office. I was charged twice. When they first tried to give me a refund, I was charged again. When I brought this to the attention of the aggressive colleague, she did not seem convinced that I was telling the truth, even though there were transaction receipts nearby and one in my hand. When I asked if I could receive a discount at another station, the colleague became very aggressive, waving her hands in the air and telling me that she had told me everything I needed to know and that I wasn't listening. I replied calmly, asking her why she was shouting at me. She interrupted me again. I told her I didn't understand why she was talking to me this way. The aggressive staff member then said she had already explained herself and that I was not listening. She walked off. When I asked the original cashier my initial question about whether I could purchase a ticket at another station to receive a discount, she kindly explained that the system had gone down across the whole network, so I might not be able to buy another ticket at another station. I was not told the system had gone down, only that the tickets were not printing, which is why I inquired whether I could purchase another ticket from another station. When I first explained that I was charged twice, the reaction I got made it seem like I was lying, even though the transactions on my card were processed twice. The aggressive staff member needs further customer service training. She is very aggressive and has poor customer service skills. She failed to listen and acknowledge the issue and was very abrupt about the situation. I am a tourist visiting Eindhoven, and this type of customer service is not a good reflection on the culture of the station. Unfortunately, I was not able to get the staff member's name because it was not visible, and when I asked, staff members were not willing to provide it. I was also told there was no manager available to discuss further what had happened. The aggressive staff member was a white female with short hair and she wore glasses. This incident occurred between 14:35 and 14:50 on 26/07/24 at Terminal 3RLN64.

It's about a 10 minute walk from the train station to the Holiday Inn. The lobby is very modern looking with a bar and restaurant inside. I got to the hotel Sunday afternoon after a long 15 hour travel time. The staff was very friendly and helpful which was really good after all my traveling. The room was really nice and big. Comfortable king size bed with four pillows and they had soft and firm pillows for their guest. Nice big desk for working and free wifi. Wifi was really good in the morning but got a lot weaker at night. As for the bathroom. It was fairly big but there was a problem with the shower. It was a little sunken so the water could gather and the go down the drain. So you had to be very careful on how much water you use during your shower so the shower wouldn't overflow. Drain was very slow but worked. I think they did this on purpose to help control your water usage. My room overlooked the train station and city central. So the hotel was very close to the mall and city central where all the restaurants were. Very convenient for after work. Only problem is shops close at 5pm so we never got to shop. Just eat. Hahaha We had a free breakfast at the hotel and it was a really good with potatoes, tomatoes, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, danish, croissants, breads, fresh fruit and of course juices and coffee. Not a bad spread every morning. It was really nice. Enjoyed my stay. Very convenient but it seemed everyone staying here were business people. One warning. If you want a bike to ride then it's $17 euros a day. You need to order ahead of time cause they have limited supply of bikes. I wouldn't mind staying here again for my business trip. Enjoy.

The gym & spa are located in the other wing and I had to take 2 elevators to get there. The gym is extremely small with 1 treadmill and a few weights. The spa is equipped with a steam, sauna and massage rooms. The bar & restaurant in the lobby is quite good. Tried them for dinner on a couple of days. Service is always great. The rooms are spacious and offers a nice view of the little town of Eindhoven. The hotel is walking distance from the Eindhoven train station. Taxis can be ordered from the hotel reception since Uber was not very reliable. We stated here during Glow 2019 and the reception staff were helpful with maps & umbrellas. Overall a good stay and looking forward to visiting again.
