Authentic European Hand Pinched Pierogies and Cabbage Rolls from our home to yours! At Pinched, our family specializes in Carpatho-Rusyn style Pirohy (pierogies), hand crafted from traditional recipes passed down from our dear Babka (Grandma) in Eastern Slovakia who taught us how to pinch and cook with love! Our Pierogies' unique shape, light & silky texture, combined with our use of the best locally, sourced all natural ingredients have a decadent taste unlike any other!

History

Established in 2022.

Our Chef Owner Kristina has been learning to cook from her Mother and Grandmothers in Eastern Slovakia from a young age. After moving to Canada nearly 10 years ago and now starting a family in Quinte West, she was encouraged by family to share her amazingly popular recipes and start a small business. After nearly a year of doing takeout from our Public Health Inspected home and kitchen, and doing a full summer of pop-ups in Prince Edward County, Belleville and Quinte West, Kristina's pierogies and cabbage rolls have won Pinched many satisfied customers!

Learning to cook from a young age from my Mother and Grandmothers back in Slovakia where I was born, gave me an immense appreciation for using quality ingredients, honouring traditions, caring for family, and now I aspire to honour what they taught me by promoting happiness in our community through cooking honest healthy meals from scratch every day using the best local ingredients I can find. :)
