First of, the rooms themselves are very unorganized and cluttered. The floors are always dirty. They have multiple children with special needs in the classrooms who they don't get assistance for. They mix 4 year olds with the 1 and 2 year olds. They are consistently out of ratio. They DO NOT bring the children outside on the play ground or for walks. They are stuck in that one room all day long. And then they wonder why they have such behavioral issues with the kids?! I have caught the staff in multiple lies between teachers and the directors/owners. Overall, these people promised us the world when we enrolled our child and didnt end up meeting any of those expectations. They were given directions by our childs Occupational Therapist on how to help him and they NEVER followed any of them. I would never EVER recommend this center to anyone, not even for a day! His dorm is lovely (much nicer than my other son's dorm was at another school), his friends are fantastic, and he is thrilled to participate in activities. The campus has a genuine community feel. Academically, the professors care about students and make connections with them. The small class sizes and accessible faculty have meant that he has been offered opportunities that would not have been available to him at a larger schools. We feel confident that he is developing strong critical thinking, research, and communication skills that will prepare him for graduate school, which is his current trajectory. We are thrilled with the choir program (if your kid sings, join their choir!), which has been both enriching for him. We are also excited about the study abroad program he has applied to, as it reflects the school's commitment to global learning and academic exploration. If there is one area for continued growth, it would be investing in additional faculty and modest campus expansion, as the school's strong programs and close-knit environment would benefit from slightly increased capacity. Overall, this has been an excellent choice!

The oven and fridge in the common room had spilled food in them and the counters were not wiped down...and this was on day 1! I expect that kind of thing mid-semester, but this seemed a bit much on the first day. Our son went to the gym and he said all the equipment looked like it needed a good cleaning as well. The people have been very nice so far and I have been pleased with the interactions he's had with administration, but I was disappointed on the cleanliness.

Arrival and check in right beside a very loud band so you cannot hear the person checking you in and they cannot hear you. From 9:30-10:45 you have an option of taking a housing tour. The housing tour is about 30 or so people with one guide who takes you to one dorm room and tells you "all the wood things come with the room". No explaining which dorms are freshman or if there are any suites or how long students are guaranteed housing or any other information. We then wait for the president to speak for the next 45 min as there are no other events or tours scheduled yet. Everyone is piled into a foyer waiting. Eventually the doors are opened (30 min later than told) and we are guided into a room with tables representing various student activities When we talked to the person at the Greek life table they knew nothing about Greek like because the Greek life person didn't show...so they were filling in. Breakfast items were also offered during this time (it's 11am) but it's still a nice gesture. There are no chairs for anyone to sit and a few standing tables yet not nearly enough for the volume of students. The president gives a vague speech which is more like "hi" and lacks substance that tells students anything about the school. Then there is a prize give away for a few students. While waiting for a housing tour I asked if there were campus tours. A student working for admissions (we did not see any admissions counselors only students) said well if you come back I can get someone to give you one. There were no campus tours!? What? We went back as he had told us to do and he was not there. Walking around the campus yourself is not the same as getting information about the campus or hearing the student perspective. Honestly the whole event was run in this rote impersonal fashion. Next stop was the tables set up for departments. No faculty present at the major we wanted to talk to. The student present told us they never had to take a single math course and they are a current senior...??? That doesn't seem to be true. What weren't faculty present to talk to incoming students and welcome them or answer questions? Last stop as we guided ourselves through campus was a carnival. They brought in a very cute camel and a goal as well as a guy with a big bubble wand. Comments I heard were "if this is how they run their event then what would it be like to go to school here!?" "I can't go here", "this is chaos" "they put time into getting a camel but what about telling us about the education they offer or living here". It was chaos. And in truth we left feeling like it's a nice looking school that must have things to offer but we will never know because of how poorly they represented themselves.

Housing took my money when I paid for a single room and just never gave it to me. I paid for that…read moresingle in February and April 1st is when I got to pick a suite. I was forced to pick a random suite with people I don't even know let alone trust around my medication. As an animated arts major who loves to do fine arts in their free time, I could use a little more space AND QUIET to focus on my work since animations take a hell of o long time to finish especially if you want them to be good. Emailed housing, they gave me a bs answer and got nowhere. Now I have to search the campus for wherever the housing office is just to speak to them in person since email goes nowhere. ------ For some extra complaints: Don't trust the rice unless you like it as chewy as sour patch kids. The chicken has so much fat pieces and all that left on it when cut that it's practically all your eating. Sausage with a nice helping of ground up bones left in. The second floor of the south dining hall doesn't even have clean lettuce of any kind, I tried some with my taco and it tasted rubbery and dirty (but apparently downstairs they actually wash the lettuce). According to some people I've talked to, old main is full of black mold and asbestos and lytle hall has high radiation. At least from my experience, the dorms aren't safe from black mold finding a nice home all over your shower. They seem to lie a bit on the tours and I honestly don't like this school as much as I used to. Maybe I should've gone to SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) or RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) since those schools are actually respectable.

The certification isn't worth anything because of the "pay and you get papers" reputation of the place. When I went we had people coming in without any of the work done, openly cheating during testing, eating their lunches in the classrooms. Even one teacher who spent most of the time talking about getting a boob job. I spent lots of money to be put in a class full of racist people that didn't care what happened to their Pell grant just to get sub par training that was mostly outdated or unneeded once I went out to the field. Within 6 months of landing my job I had to retake most of my classes at "a real training program" as my boss said. Looks like it's still the same thing years later.

The second time I should have only owed $235 for withdrawing from one class but they charged me for 2. I have emails showing that I only had one class that I withdrew from. It's a consistent thing and they don't have their act together. Their classes are not built for working students like they claim. Go somewhere with experience like Drexel, Lehigh or Moravian.
