I haven't had this much outdoor fun in a long time. I was excited to know the spouse planned this fun excursion as the first thing to do upon arrival. I have never ridden an e bike before so I had no clue what to expect but this place made me a fan instantly. The rental process was a breeze and they were ready when we arrived. The bikes were comfortable and had were cool looking. They maintained full- medium battery life throughout the day and we used them for 6 hours+. The experience was well worth the bumps and bruises I received (from my own doing of course). Shout out to Noodles the fluffy and friendly doggo and greeter. read more

I truly cannot say enough good things about pine nut. We have been renting from them for probably 5 years now and we have never ever had a bad experience. The staff is always super friendly and super accommodating. This most recent time renting I got a flat tire on my bike and from phone call to delivery of a new bike...11 min. I was so shocked I literally had to check what time I called because it was so quick. We are already pine nuts for life but the service after that flat I will be telling even more people about pine nuts and the incredible service they provide!! Cannot recommend enough we don't even take a second look at other rental companies read more

We rented four bikes in early April and everything was perfect. The bike trails were close to being empty. This is our first time doing this in Tahoe. I would be concerned if every bike rental place had every bike rented. I am not sure how everyone would be able to fit on the bike path because it can be narrow at many different places. But we hit the timing perfectly, and it was very nice and sunny . I recommend wearing gloves during April. read more

We wanted to E-bike after 3 days of running the Tahoe marathons, to experience the beautiful pine forests and spin out the lactic acids. We found this nice clean modern shop, a few steps from the bike route. The rental was simple and easy, we downloaded their app and tour map, put our phones on the preset phone holder and off we go. The E-bikes were simple to use. You can add more epower and bike with less effort, or use all man power if you want to workout. The rental process was smooth. The bikes works well, and we enjoyed our day riding through and smelling the pine air, sat and enjoyed the parks. It was fantastic. read more

We saw their flyer at the Visitor Center and we were so glad. They have the best pricing and no sacrifice on quality and service. We rented the comfort e-bikes for $50 for the entire day. Most places we looked into charged $79 for 2 hours or more. read more

We were on a girls trip and we had the best day renting eBikes and traveling around South Lake Tahoe! There are tons of bike rentals in Tahoe. Pine Nut is clearly among the best, and most affordable. First impressions are telling; the business was immaculate and we were met with smiles and warm welcomes. Sarah introduced herself and asked how she could help make our day great. We rental several eBikes for a ride to Camp Richardson. I'm not a bike rider, but Hubby is. Sarah did not rush through instructions but took the time to make sure I was comfortable, and that my helmet was properly fitted. Prices were as much as half of what we found at other businesses which were less friendly. Hey--we get it. Tahoe is a tourism Mecca and it's high season. Still, Pine Nut took the time to be friendly, informative and professional. The selection of bikes was impressive and they were well staffed so there was no wait despite having other customers in the business besides us. They helped us load the bikes into our truck and off we went. Sarah briefed us on the trail to Camp Richardson and the bikes and ride were everything they promised. Drop off was equally swift and simple. In short, Pine Nut is a slam dunk--especially for the price. This is what a business should be. read more

We were out past Pope beach to the casinos such a blast on the E bikes. Value was great I though for the three of us. Service was excellent. The only complaint I had was my kids bike was going on and off the whole ride which slowed us down. read more

Friendly staff. A great place to rent a bike to check out some gorgeous nearby beaches. I'm a pretty inexperienced bike rider but overall the paths were great aside from some minor bumps and a bit of narrowness here and there. My first time on an e-bike! Would definitely come back here. Honestly can't say enough good things about this place! Super friendly family oriented business, great ethos, and some awesome bikes to rent or buy. Came in to try out a Marin e-bike that was hard to find in the Bay Area. They were really helpful, honest when they didn't know the answers, and did their best to make adjustments and let me test ride multiple times. No sales pressure at all, and are the ideal model for what bike shops should work to attain. In the end I pulled the trigger to buy the bike, and they even gave me a discount and a water bottle! Do yourself a favor and rent or buy a bike from these guys, or at least a cold brew! read more

I was referred to this bike shop by the owner of Ernie's Cafe. The cafe owner had a lot of good stuff to say about this location that we had to come by! The staff was extremely kind and easy going. What a great find! We came up to Tahoe for a quick weekend getaway. We knew we wanted to rent bikes to bike around the lake and I had found this place. My husband decided on a regular bike (he's an avid cycler) and I opted for the eBike. Good thing I got the eBike as we decided to try riding up to Emerald Bay. We got about half way there (mostly uphill) and I decided it was a bit too precarious to bike on the narrow highway. The shop is cute, gave great instructions on how to use the bike and we were out for about 5 hours. A definite must do when your in the area. We were even able to bring our little dog with us biking, she had a great time as well. read more

Rented 2 pinenut ebikes like I do every year, on June 22, 2023. WOW ! There new bikes are awesome. The battery life is crazy, biked at least 20+ miles on them and the battery only went down 1maybe 2 bars you could go 40+ miles on these bikes with the battery. The people that work there are great in and out fast. and for $50 a day you cannot beat it. Best E bike rental place in Tahoe................. P.s please bring the throttle back on the bikes read more

Got an amazing deal on a brand new Yeti 160E!!! Yes, they are an authorized dealer verified by the Yeti registration site. I was very hesitant at first to make such a large purchase without seeing it first hand. Called the shop and Brandon answered, he immediately made me feel at ease, offered to FaceTime me and show me the actual bike up close. Amazing service! Rented Pine Nuts 500w and pedal 750w e bikes. Hubby for Pedal 750w reports it has super torque & fun as hell! . He really dug the dual suspension. I rode the pine nut 500w. Seats 2 but cool solo and more than fast enough for me!! We all Had a blast. If you're Making an ebike purchase highly recommend riding these. We will be back soon! read more

Highly recommend this shop! Staff were super nice and helpful! Very easy to rent e-bikes. Was not aware these bikes have very little shocks so riding on the dirt and every crack in the street was pretty painful. Never been on one before so did not know to expect that. Overall we had a blast and wish we had all day ride and enjoy. The bikes had great battery life. Would definitely rent from them again! read more

Great find! Tried to rent e-bike from another location but they didn't have any. Limited supply. So we called Pine Nut Cycle and that's all they stock. Nice new bikes, great selection, great condition. Rented for full day. Had such a fun time. Easy to learn, powerful bikes. Excellent service, good instructions. Brandon the owner was super friendly. We rented our Ebikes easily online the night before. We were greeted with wonderful customer service and a quick run through of the bikes since we were first time E-riders. They also gave us a map and some tips for a beautiful day of riding. The bikes are in excellent condition and were so fun to ride and see Tahoe from a different point of view. We road to Pope Beach, Fallen Leaf Lake, and general riding around the bike trails. We road from 9a to 2p and the battery lasted the entire time. The full day rental was from 9a to 5:30p but we needed to get back for another appointment or else we would have kept riding. Highly recommend Pine Nut! read more

Great to see our favorite bikemaster, Phil, greeting us warmly upon arrival. As usual, he made us feel at home as he walked us through the paperwork and the bikes, giving us tips on spots that we might like to check out along the route. He made sure that we were squared away, comfortable, and confident before we took off on two two-wheelers and one trike. We had a fantastic time riding, exploring, and even stopping for a lunch picnic at Mt. Tallac where we were joined by ducks---great day and a wonderful memories for us all!! Returning the gear at the end of our adventure, Phil was joined by the Boss lady herself , Sue, who always brings a smile and like, Phil, always makes you feel like family!! My husband and I visit Tahoe several times a year in all seasons, but we usually bring our own bikes here when the trails are calling. Recently though we came up for the last week of snowboarding at Heavenly, but in between days on the slopes, it was warm enough to want to switch our boards for 2 wheels - Enter Tahoe Bike Company! We walked along the lake front for about a mile to get to the shop and were quickly greeted by Ed. Within 15 minutes or so, we were already on our way to our favorite trails! Since this shop is family-run and locally-run, everyone we talked to had their recommendations and tips on which trails to ride. So if you're unfamiliar with biking in South Lake Tahoe, they've got you! They even give you a great pocket map to take with you. We did a half-day rental (4 hours) of a couple of "Deluxe E-Bikes," which honestly was a fun alternative to our usual regular mountain bikes. You get a little turbo boost if wanted or needed! The rental rates are reasonable, so they don't try to gouge anyone whether you're local or a tourist. Overall we were super happy and would absolutely rent from them again! When we turned in our bikes, Talia helped us out and was friendly (actually she also gave us the quick instructions on the various settings on the bikes before we rode off too). Big thanks to Ed, Talia, and the Tahoe Bike Co fam for helping everyone get out there on bikes and enjoying beautiful Lake Tahoe!

T S L is among the very best retailers and staff I have encountered in a lifetime. That is @ 50 years of action sports immersion, on both sides of the counter. T S L has it all, all the gear, all seasons knowledgeable, ski shop tunes and repairs, and demonstrates passion and care about it all, especially dialed into consistent and engaging Customer Service. He also told me that if I had any issues before the ride, I could come back and he'd prioritize helping me. We also talked bikes for a while -- he's a wealth of knowledge. This shop's main focus is service, and it shows. Eric is worth traveling for -- even if you're from out of the area. Not only that but when the mountain was closed because of all the snow he allowed us to keep the boards for the next day!! If you still don't believe how much this guy really cares about the customer- pay attention to this. We were on our way back to south lake Tahoe from Palisades to return our rentals to the shop. 9 miles away from town, me and my friends got into a super bad accident right at the end of the tunnel near cave rock. Once I had called the shop to tell him what had happened he immediately was shocked and asking us if we were okay! He said he was willing to stay longer (after close) if needed and said to call back in 20ish minutes for an update. I called him back with the unfortunate news that our car was unable to start and that we wouldn't be able to return the rentals that day. The owner of the shop wasn't upset and told me that if the boards got sent with the car when it gets impounded that he won't ever see those boards again. (Valid point for sure) He didn't mention us having to pay or anything. He then immediately brainstormed and came up with an idea to call the hotel next to his business and see if they can hold our rentals if we were to drop them off. I gave him my number and once he got it confirmed with the hotel he called me, and later that night we dropped off the rentals at the hotel and he picked them up the next morning. He made sure to finish the phone call saying don't worry about anything i'm just glad everyone is okay. YOU CAN'T GET A BETTER OWNER THAN THIS!!! We are in debt to this kind gentleman so please! please! stop by his shop and show him some love!! Also the boards and gear were amazing. We had such a good time on the slopes!

Great to see our favorite bikemaster, Phil, greeting us warmly upon arrival. As usual, he made us feel at home as he walked us through the paperwork and the bikes, giving us tips on spots that we might like to check out along the route. He made sure that we were squared away, comfortable, and confident before we took off on two two-wheelers and one trike. We had a fantastic time riding, exploring, and even stopping for a lunch picnic at Mt. Tallac where we were joined by ducks---great day and a wonderful memories for us all!! Returning the gear at the end of our adventure, Phil was joined by the Boss lady herself , Sue, who always brings a smile and like, Phil, always makes you feel like family!! These folks will always be our Go To for bike adventures in Lake Tahoe!! Thanks again for the great service, solid bikes, and for another great day for our family!!!

After we called around all other businesses, such as this, we realized that Lake Tahoe boat rides was the most professional and upfront about their prices. Many companies didn't let me know that fuel and captain fees would be tacked on at after the ride as well as a certain gratuity. Sneaky! Once we arrived at Lake Tahoe, Boat Rides, Lindsay, the owner and everyone else was super friendly and helpful. They have a store with food/drinks, towels etc.. but they tell you in advance that you can pick it up elsewhere. They helped us carry our bags over to the perfectly clean and well maintained boat complete with our own captain who was incredible!!!!! Ask for Steve-O!!!! I do believe no matter who you get as a captain that you will have an amazing experience as we did. Steve-O was friendly and great with our 4 1/2 year-old. He provided just the right amount of history and information as we rode along and also took us to less touristy places that were also beautiful and so worth seeing. We cannot wait to come back and see Lake Tahoe boat rides next summer, and we will definitely be asking for Steve-O.

There is no real way to know how much fuel we really used. I do like that other places just build that into their prices, maybe a suggestion for the future? Regardless, both guys were great. But…read moreTNT refused to refund the money even though the contract states - "Customers will also receive a full refund or credit (customer's choice) in operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances" Even with repeated requiests TNT refused to provide us a refund and offered only a credit for a later booking. We had no plans to return to Lake Tahoe as the initial trip was planned for our extended family visiting from India. Finally we relutanlty agreed as they offered to compensate with 2 nights of hotel stay at Harras or Harvey's on a later trip along with two days of Jet Skie rental. But when we planned the trip this year in Aug 2023, they reneged on your written offer to comp 2 hotels nights siting high rates. This was informed to us after we booked out flight tickets and we had no options. Finally we ended up having to book separate Hotel for two nights and spending an additional $700.

We arrived a little before 12 pm and were greeted by an employee. For the golf course selection, there are 3 options to choose from (but one course was currently closed). We ended up choosing to do the castle course, which has 28 holes. I had cash in my purse so we paid for a smaller discount of $20 per person. If you pay credit card, it would have been $20.60 per person (I am assuming for the credit card fee?). We were given our clubs and 2 colored golf balls. And the employee who checked us in had told us that there is a hole where the mill is not working. The motor to power it is not working but that we can slowly pushing it towards where she is and it should work. The castle themed course is very cute and we really enjoyed seeing each hole, which some of them were really challenging. Some of the holes were also really well constructed and decorated, including the one with a ship and a giant goldfish. We golfed here for about an hour. And I am happy to say that I ended up with the smaller amount of strokes (just by a margin though). Although this course has 28 holes, you only golf with 27 holes. And then for the last one, you come back inside where you paid for your admission and put it in one of two machines. I placed my golf ball into what looks like a plinko style game (which reminds me of The Price Is Right show). But I don't know if I was supposed to try to win something or not or just to watch it make it's way down to one of three holes. And then my husband placed his ball in the other machine that looks like a slot machine. Overall, we had a great time and am glad we were able to make it out here.
