They have 3 courses here and don't repeat any of the holes. Two 19 hole courses and one 28 hole course. The 19 hole courses are $15 and the 28 hole version is $20. The course is lit at night and I played one of the 19 hole courses. I found it to be in fairly good shape with the carpet being flat without wrinkles. Each hole also has concrete side walls instead of wooden ones. Also this facility caters to the kids with its hole designs. I enjoyed my time here and recommend it for anyone looking for something fun to do while in the area.

Super cute colorful mini golf place. Highly recommend for families. Creative holes and structures. If you go around 5pm the entire location is shaded. It does cost a bit but it's worth the family time.

What a fun and whimsical place to play mini golf. No pressure and completely fills in the nostalgic vibes for me. I always make it a must to come here when I'm in South Lake Tahoe. It's fun for dates and to play with family or friends. Give yourself about 45 minutes per each set of 18 (there's a story land route and a dinosaur route). You can play both, too.

    Storybook course!

Whether you want to stay busy or just kick back and watch a game, they've got you covered. There's a fun mini golf course with obstacle-style holes, cornhole, other interactive games, tons of big-screen TVs showing sports, plenty of high-top tables, a long bar, and even outdoor seating. We decided to grab a couple seats at the bar. We were first greeted by Kelly, who was incredibly friendly, had a great smile, and genuinely seemed happy to take care of us. Then Ben took over, and he was awesome. Super personable, easy to joke around with, and the kind of bartender who keeps interacting with guests even when he's busy. The staff alone is a reason we'd come back. Trivia isn't usually my thing, but we decided to join in anyway. It's free, energetic, and a lot of fun. There were probably around 25 teams playing, and Tom did a great job keeping the energy up all night. The questions start out pretty easy to build your confidence, then get progressively tougher. It ended up being a great time and the perfect way to spend our first night in Tahoe.

The manager appeared to be intoxicated, as her speech was slurred and she struggled to communicate professionally. This created an uncomfortable and unprofessional atmosphere. In addition, the marshal was confrontational and threatened to call the police on members of my family because they were playing too slowly, stating they were "the slowest" he had ever seen. The situation could have been handled respectfully and professionally, but instead it escalated unnecessarily. This was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had at an establishment like this. Whether you're a new player or someone with years of experience, I would strongly encourage you to think twice before bringing friends or family here. Customer service, professionalism, and respect should always be a priority, and unfortunately, that was not our experience.

We figured that it was easier to walk back to a hotel after the show let out at around 11 AM, rather than fuss with parking and drive home down the Kingsbury towards Genoa at night. It also presented an opportunity to enjoy a nice dinner, as part of an enjoyable date night. Our Suite was clean, spacious and comfortable, albeit a little dated. Parking was $20 extra and there was a resort fee. Maybe the later paid for the free wine at happy hour, WiFi, and/or a decent hot breakfast the next morning? I thought the room was also a bit pricey, although I did compare it with the Casinos, which were even more expensive. I guess from our Genoa perspective, most anything at the Lake is expensive. The location of Forest Suites was very convenient to the concert and the overall physical property is attractive. I can see how these Suites are attractive to families on vacation, as they have kitchens, a nice Livingroom, easy Pizza delivery, and of course the Lake in literally the back yard. We particularly enjoyed watching the Heavenly Gondolas pass overhead from our Livingroom window. Hotel staff were all very friendly, helpful, and professional.

We typically order from the bar portion of the menu at water bar/ short rib tacos, tenderloin burgers, cobb salad etc and those options are very good but we decided to try out the top end of the menu and it was pretty good but not great. Bacon wrapped Filet was under seasoned. and didn't have a great sear on it like really good steakhouses do. I felt like the sauce/gravy and mashed potatoes carried the flavor on the dish and the meat didn't have a savory flavor and you really needed the sauce because the meat alone would've been mediocre. Luckily the sauce and potatoes were tasty and the dish was overall good. Seasoning that steak top and bottom and a proper searing would take it from good to great!! 7.5/10 My wife ordered the halibut and it was pretty good but not great. A little dry , needed a little more seasoning and love to be a great dish. Risotto was just an uninteresting glob of goo with no flavor. When you pay 54$ for a fish dish , you expect it to be really good....... i'd say the halibut was 6/10 - room for improvement . Great location with lake views and the pier and marina right there. Love that they had tables on the pier, the location definitely elevates the experience !! 10/10 Mocha ice cream cake/ mud pie dessert is awesome , one of my favorites at the water bar....... Next visit to Gar Woods I will stick to burgers , salads and short rib tacos but the location makes it worth eating here no matter what you order but i feel like the 25-30$ offerings are tastier and you get more bang for your buck!!! Cheers!

It is arguably the best location on the North Shore for being on the water, especially with the Hyatt Beach restaurants closed during construction at their beach area. Ya I get it, it's Tahoe, it's Lakefront. I am willing to pay a premium but short of feeling like I'm being swindled. $41 for Tofu Stir Fry?!? $49 for a Pork Chop, $42 for Roasted Chicken and $29 for a Bacon Burger? Sheesh! That's pushing the envelope into Tourist Trap pricing levels. Had a couple Wet Woody's and then we were out of there. Za's (Tahoe City) or Whitecap Pizza or Jason's Beachside Grill (Kings Beach) have waterfront dining at almost half the cost with nice atmospheres just a little less upscale than Gar. With Lake Tahoe likely not getting any less popular in the future, I probably won't even bother considering places like this that have obviously decided to milk the situation for every dollar they can.
