Combination farm stand and takeout/eat in food. Lots of local and unusual selections. Open year round. Lots of local activities such as frisbee golf, cross country skiing, visiting the farm, etc. Dogs are not allowed at Pineland Farms

I love this Little Lad's Orange Almond Granola!

Pineland Farms is such a Maine Gem for so many reasons. Too many reasons to list in a review, but pretty much you can find the reasons, within their GREAT Website: https://pinelandfarms.org/ They have so many different activities, many free and many by registration fee and for all ages. We have stayed at the rental property and have also visited their market several times. We have loved every visit for the following reasons.... The grounds/property is sprawling and beautifully maintained, as soon as we see the campus in sight, it's just so picturesque and peaceful looking. It makes me so happy, it's an "oasis" through the forest depending on which route you take. There is plenty of parking even on a busy summer weekend. The farmhouse we rented, was big and cozy at the same time. Great place to chill and gather with friends - plenty of yard for yard games, a large gathering kitchen/eating area - can easily accommodate 20 people for dinner in the dining area. The farmers porch was nice to sit on and chat, while watching the occassional car pass by, or the cows in the pasture. Inside, there were several bedrooms and bathrooms and a fun recreation room in the finished basement, with a pool table. The market is awesome. A LOT of locally made/produced things for sale from local beers, like the G.F. Lucky Pigeon Beer, to Allagash. They sell local artisan items as well, that are also great souvenirs if you are hosting out of state guests. They have a cute kids section, were you can buy books, activity books, puzzles, and other toys, many are Maine themed or Farm related :) They have an awesome selection of Stonewall Kitchen products, a great selection of candy, including locally made Haven's chocolates. YUM! The deli side of the market, has so much to offer, I'll try not to make the rest of the list, look like my grocery list. LOL They have Little Lads products; popcorn, crackers and granola!!! SNACKS and CHIPS for DAYS!!!! They of course sell, their Pineland products, such as meats and cheeses and side dishes, like, pasta salads, potato salads and more. Don't forget the bakery section!! We bought a couple of sandwiches, I got the Trailblazer, which, I posted pictures of it and the description, if you like Turkey, Bacon Avocado and Siracha mayo...get this sandwich! and don't forget the bag of Maine made Fox Chips!! We ordered three bakery dessert items, Chocolate Chip Cookie (YUM!!!!) and a fruit bar (good!) and Blueberry Crumble (Good but SWEEEEET) I could go on and on...I highly recommend Pineland Farms for everything they offer. I hope you and your family will give it a try sometime.

Ordered: thanksgiving sandwich: okay, the stuffing is on the mushy side and could have been more flavorful but I liked the astringency of the raw red onion pumpkin pie: one of the best slices of pie I've had to date! Silky pumpkin custard with flakey pie dough, pumpkin cream, and pumpkin seeds. A winner. Additional tips: Order/pay for your food and take it across the market into the mountain viewing room to sneak a better leaf-peeping view of the farm. You can get any of your sandwiches toasted! Just ask.

Really enjoyed stopping in and browsing through the merchandise that was made in Maine. Great place if you are looking for Birthday or Christmas presents. The grocery area was well stocked and comparable in price to larger grocery stores.

Dome #4 at The Market at Pineland farm.

The Market at Pineland farms is a great place to stop for food and more. They offer a variety of homemade sandwiches, soups and baked goods. They have an amazing shop with fresh vegetables, frozen prepared foods, many local items such as coffee from Swift River (Raymond, ME), Honey items (Cumberland, ME), and many Stonewall kitchen products as well as wine and gifts. It is a great place to stop in for lunch. They also have 4 domes to rent for a cool experience outside. You do have to make a reservation in advance. Each dome has different seating options. We rented dome #4 for an anniversary celebration and chose to bring in a charcuterie platter to snack on. The heated dome added to our event immensely. It was a fun experience in the winter. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if it had snowed. Don't miss out on this awesome experience this winter! We will be back.

Came in today for grocery's . Ordered two Almost Thanksgiving Sandwich to eat in . Had a coffee . Everything was pretty good but the young person at the counter didn't ask anything about our order . Salt and pepper ? Sad to hear that don't even use their own bread as they have bakery items !?!? I actually asked . I got hot soup but who knows maybe it's from a food service?! Sat at a table to eat a not even noon and an employee was vacuuming the dining area . Not really appropriate. It was pretty busy . Asked if the bakery items were baked today . They said no .

There's SO MUCH going on at Pineland Farms. Where to start? + The View of Mt. Washington and the White Mountains I was completely taken aback by the literally stunning view of Mt. Washington which I just wasn't expecting. As we were trekking across campus from The Market to The Garden, we turned around for a brief moment thinking I had dropped something only to be met by this most glorious site. We just stood there, mouths agape, wondering why no one else was taking the time to let such beauty wash over them. Seriously, look at the photo I posted. + Trails We didn't hike any of the trails (we were cold and had already hiked that morning), but were impressed with the massive network (30+ kilometers) that was available to us and will make it a point next Spring to come explore these. We thought the use of the QR code on the map near The Market was clever - scan it, and you get the entire trail system right on your phone in Google Maps. Very cool! Our only question was that it seemed we had to pay to use the trails? Hmm. I wish we knew how much it was, because that information seems to be hidden. + Garden We came specifically to sit in the garden, but we were far too late in the season (we came in mid-October). That being said... it was still charming and beautiful even in it's state of dying (there's a poem or song in there somewhere). We could see the ghosts of swiss chard, cherry tomatoes, and herbs; flowers that were once there had dried out; and the fountain had been turned off. We CAN NOT WAIT to come back in Spring when this is more lively, and even more excited for August in the height of this little garden's glory. Such a well maintained space, so much bigger than it looks from the outside, and truly a place one might see Alice reading a book under a tree at. + The Market Full of wonderful things from local purveyors, from cheese to beer to produce (the prices are a bit high, but you get what you pay for). You could easily stock up on all your needs right here and be totally satisfied. Actually, my suggestion to you is to grab picnic items from here for your walk through their extensive trails and skip The Deli entirely. Segue... - The Deli in the The Market This was probably my least favorite aspect of Pineland Farms. It seemed chaotically run, people who were clearly friends with the staff were served before others, it took almost 30 minutes for us to get our order and when we did it was wrong, and the food was just "meh." I had a spinach-feta croissant which was so greasy I couldn't finish it, and my partner had a hummus and veggie sandwich that was limp and lackluster. However, I did like the sight of the other pastries and baked goods - I should have gone with my gut instinct and got a bagel with cream cheese, for example. Duh! We also appreciated the self-serve coffee area, the ample seating, and the tremendous amount of sunlight pouring in from the windows. Overall? We can't wait until Spring to come back and get an even fuller experience!

This is an absolutely beautiful 5,000 acre farm. It's worth a visit. I stopped here as part of a bus tour but would consider going back and bringing my bike to hit the trails. I went to the dairy barn, equestrian center, garden and restaurant. All were 5 star.

My wife and I and my parents came to experience their goat yoga and check out the farm! Truly a magical experience and something you should come to experience yourself! The owners are so friendly and welcoming that kicked off the morning so well! We did a little yoga before we started to clap and out came the stampede of goats running towards us to cause chaos and get love and affection from those of us doing yoga. From the adults to the kids they were all over the place making everyone laugh and snap pictures and videos. So much entertainment watching them explore and play around. It was really something you can't top, being outside enjoying a beautiful Maine summer day doing yoga with goats as added entertainment! After yoga was complete they had Sugar Megs that had refreshments and treats. Coconut cold brew, blueberry lemonade or iced chai and plenty of treats as a reward for the yoga being complete. Then Novella Mobile Books as well as a local author with a new book release were there too. Could also enter the goat pen and give all the scratches and love to the goats (kids and adults) as well as their newest donkey addition too. A perfect way to kick off our weekend! And as we stretched out on the rocks enjoying our picnic in the the warm sun, taking in the view of what seemed to be endless forests, bodies of water, and islands, we couldn't have agreed more." A decade later this is still true. If you're looking for an easygoing, very accessible way to go hiking and get some fresh air while wandering Maine's woods, take in the changing leaves of autumn or the abundance of blossoms and wildflowers in the spring, Bradbury - located just thirty minutes from Portland - is hard to beat. According to their website, Bradbury Mountain State Park was one of the original five state parks in the state of Maine, acquired by the Federal government in 1939. The mountain is open year round from 9am until sunset and offers a variety of hiking trails that range from very, very easy ("wide gradual ascents", "well packed and fairly flat") to slightly more challenging ("steepest ascent, but not difficult to hike", "areas with sharp turns"), from .2 miles to 1.5 miles (or more if you want to build your own adventure here - which is very easy to do because this state park's trails are now abundantly well marked; expect lots of maps throughout to let you know where you are AND lots of wooden signs pointing you in the right direction). You could easily do it all in one half day or break up your walk and come back another time, especially considering it's an easy, convenient mountain with an elevation of just 485 feet. Dogs are allowed on leashes, horses are allowed on certain trails. There are bathrooms. You can check out an old cattle pound. Explore for geocaches. It's a cute little mountain, and I'm so happy it's right in (proverbial) our backyard.
