Well, today (Wednesday) was my birthday (64) and I decided to go in, join, and have the pages printed that I needed. I came in and the person who initially greeted me was nice. She helped me by giving me the application and taking my payment. Then I went into the office only to be attack by the gestapo, some dark haired women who didn't introduce herself but went on the attack demanding, "Who told you that! What was their name! We don't do that! Who was that?" I stopped the conversation to introduce myself thinking she might have a nicer tone to someone who had just joined, but no! She still had the sharp tone and stern face as though I was taking up way too much of her precious time! I told her I felt very uncomfortable with the way she was communicating with me, I turned and asked the girl at the desk to tear up my application and refund my money, which they could not do because I had paid with a debit card! Wow Well, then I did some digging. I've been in town since 2005 and lived up here full time for most of that! I have own a business in town, and have really tried to be a good member of our town. I found out that "she is hot and cold" "you never know who you are going to get" "oh yeah, she's like that with everyone " and "yeah, that's why I don't go on there". I can't believe The Black Haired Gestapo is greeting our elderly community members like that! This is shameful! Someone should sit her down and teach her how to kindly treat people and not be so mean! I can't recommend becoming a member until she is canned! This is the office gestapo!!

I went to Justa Center to have somewhere to hang as living in my car was boring. I did not ask for…read moreservice, but got treated with the utmost respect as a person. The Quality I received was throough, as I got help getting off the street. I think they liked my dog, as they took care of him first. Shots, License, check-up. I love Justa Center as they are perfect for getting help when you are homeless. It has been close to 3 years, and I am getting ready to go homeless again, as I am having surgury in the next week, and cannot work to pay my rent. I need more help, this time with a pro bono lawyer about my past that stops me from getting a place I can actually afford. It has been over 23 years, and I still have a record that says 'just live in your car' and my record is really old and now the drug is legal. I will go back to Justa very soon, as soon as I can get some add'l gas to get there. Thanks Justa!

I was pleasantly surprised to be warmly greeted by friendly staff and the wonderful display of jewelry, paintings and sculptures. It was my birthday and always wanted to buy turquoise and copper jewelry for myself. I was ecstatic to find something I loved from the display case! Went back again to peruse the beautiful artwork, especially the miniature houses and buy more jewelry. They also have art classes there. Will definitely visit this place again when we're back in Show Low!
