Great golf course. Over all course in great shape. Greens are amazing very difficult but amazing. Only problem with this course is they have no control of pace of play. It should not take five hours to play a round of golf. We had an early tee time and by the second tee we were waiting 10+ minutes to play next hole . When we turned at ten. Even more groups had crowded in so back nine was even slower. So they not only don't control the tee time or placing at all. Very sad. Won't play there again for this reason . I would not recommend the course at all. There are many other good course in the area. read more

Now called Birdie Ranch at Silver Creek, this golf course just outside of Showlow is the best public (or semi-private) course around Show Low. It's always in great shape and a very fair but challenging course designed by Gary Panks. While the weekend rate is getting closer to $100 by the year, it's still only ~$45 during the week. Golf course in great shape, a few greens not perfect, but overall greens very fast and fairways excellent! The course needs drinking water on the back nine, especially in the heat, drinking station not in operation. Need more water stations on the course, and can use a cart girl. This was my first time golfing here. They've changed the name to Birdie Ranch. I played from the white tees. I'm a decent but not great golfer. The holes were very forgiving with lots of room on each side of the already wide fairways. It had just rained before we golfed and the course was very wet but the grass and greens were in great condition. I enjoyed this course a lot. I like it better than Bison Ridge. read more

Great course, play this course more than any in the area. Well maintained, golf carts are in good shape. Greens are very tough and definitely require skill. When busy it does get really backed up, especially around holidays. All around my favorite course in the area. Five star food!! At the Birdie Ranch Bar and Grill. Alec was the cook with great service from Yvonne and Susan. The menu is great and they have daily specials. The Avacado Wrap was wonderful. Portions are large. They have a breakfast menu that looks yummy and this Sunday breakfast with Santa from 9-12. A view of the links and a lake are very relaxing. A must see. read more

Played this course (now called Birdie Ranch) the day after playing Bison Golf Club. This course is in much better shape than Bison Golf Course. Fairways and rough are pretty decent, greens are so-so. Greens have a lot of bare and rough spots on them, but the maintenance crew is working on them. They tucked all the pins closer to the edges to help keep traffic down on the greens. There is a lot of slope on this course and the ball easily runs away faster than expected. I think they should let the greens grow out a little more to help keep the speed and condition a little better. Fun course, like the lay out, the fairways are pretty generous. Just about a half hour drive from the center of Show Low. read more

The course is in great shape and the greens are rolling nice. Fairways are nice and green and the rough is penalizing but not to bad. The outside staff are always helpful. The clubhouse folks always taking care of us when we come with a big group. Highly recommend the course to anyone coming up to leave the Phoenix heat! read more

They have renamed this course to Birdie Ranch, should be Bogey Ranch. Looking at the old reviews, the staff is an upgrade. Nice people, but the maintenance of the course is ridiculous. The water hazards have no water. It's all on the greens. They have cut and rolled the greens to be near 11 on the stimp meter, very undulating. An approach shot that hits on a high point releases to the back of the green leaving a difficult pitch or bunker shot down a fast green. An approach shot that lands in a wet low spot, spins back off the green or even once SIDEWAYS off the green. I've played and have become a fan of Gary Panks designs, but they have taken this course to a level that is not fun to play. I'm a single digit handicap and I shot 90. read more

Don't waste your money. The golf carts are in bad shape....steering issues, throttle issues and old. The driving range is in probably the worst shape I've seen. The greens are running 12-15 and it's impossible to sink a putt when the pins are on a slope. This is the second time and the last, that I'll spend my money here. This course needs some serious money and attention to upgrade it. The fairways are decent and with some work this place has lots of potential, but it needs serious work. read more

It may not seem like much but it adds up when you also get cash back from Circle K gas on the app. I got $10 cash last week from the app and I've only had it a month, so I got cheap gas, good food and some cash! If you would like to be disrespected for no reason at all, rushed into another group, and forced to play 40 minutes before your tee time then this is the place for you! Choose any other golf course in the area if you would like to enjoy your round of golf that you worked hard to pay for! Only person that had some decency left in them out of all of the staff we encountered was the snack lady. After encountering the incredibly rude old man at the front desk we were so close to leaving and getting a refund but tried to enjoy the day anyways. Very rude clubhouse employees and then after 13 holes find out they have a reverse shotgun start. Foursome just drives up right in front of me and tees off. Not a word or telling me what they are doing. The name of the group says it all. Duffers are assholes and have no golf knowledge. To say I am pissed would be an understatement. Brian in the golf shop acts like a shithead and says of course they do this every Thursday and stinks of stale cigarette smoke. Would have been nice to know this when paying my green fees. I will not be back as this place has no idea how to operate a golf course. Find a better place to play and don't wast your time with this shame. read more

Been to breakfast twice already both time spoiled milk , plus my eggs were cold, the only good thing I can say is the waitress was nice

My husband and I played this course in February. It's winter and that means the greens are no longer green. Apparently the club is not paying anyone to maintain the course at this point, which is understandable. There were elk hooves and deer poop all over the place. The only rest room was a porta-potty. The sand traps were full of animal prints and there were hazardous holes all over the place. Now, I know we played this course in the winter when it's not at its best, but to charge $24 for 9 holes is waaaay too much. $15 would be more acceptable for the type of experience you will find here in winter. I doubt we will back. read more
