The store is down the walkway at the side of kirkgate market which makes it very accessible and smack bang in the middle of town. There isnt a huge selection of clothes but they are always changing so that is good. The store is nice and clean and the staff are very friendly. The prices are decent if not on the dear side, but, not too dear.

There is also a store card which allows you to get discount on shoes and jewellery as well as earning points. :)

The style of the clothes is very much classic, classy and I would imagine aimed towards the more mature woman, with very safe but complimentary cuts and a style and class befitting of an lady with those extra few years under her belt. That's not to say a younger lady mightn't be interested, their clothes are certainly lovely and well designed, but perhaps not as adventurous as the youth of today might enjoy. Being an indie shop in Ilkley, prices are that notch higher but when it comes to well designed clothes you always have to weigh up the pros and cons. Lots of classy accessories to accompany your purchase too, so well worth saving for the whole outfit!

Back in college I used to see Warehouse labels on many things my friends wore, and I'd think, yeah, that looks great on them, but it wouldn't suit me. And this is something which has remained with me to this day, as my clothes rails are noticeably Warehouse bereft. One thing I can't knock is the jewellery. Warehouse stocks some fabulous earrings and a lot of amazing statement necklaces and bangles. In fact, the accessories are where it's at, with lovely scarves, patterned tights (a favourite sock drawer staple of mine), clutches, oversized bags and innovative things like 'arm warmers'. Hey, with all the goshdarn length sleeved coats we see these days, you need inventions like this. I genuinely don't know what it is about the clothes though, it seems that nothing ever grabs me. I'm not saying they're not nice, perhaps it's just the colour or feeling of functionality, I really can't put my finger on it. You might love them though, so I do suggest you give Warehouse a visit and see if there's anything in the sale that tickles your fancy. As far as accessories go, it's a fabulous little shop, and this standalone store in the Arndale makes for varied shopping.

I've got some beautiful dresses from here that I've worn to weddings and christenings, really pretty and they're also not dry-clean only which saves a fortune and means I wear them much more often! I can only assume this is because it's in the St. John's Centre, and so perhaps has less walk-in trade, but even so I'm always excited to nip in for a browse! The staff have always been really friendly during my visits, not overly pushing for a sale but happy to help, which is the perfect combination in my book. The changing rooms are reasonably spacious, which helps if you like to try as many items as I do, and the store is laid out well for easy browsing. All in all, for style, quality and price DP are certainly worth dropping in. And, for some reason, they always seem to have shoes in the sale!

For the ethical shoppers they also stock Veja trainers which are fair-trade and use organic cotton and wild Amazonian rubber. The shop has a clean, spacious quality feel to it and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable, seeming passionate about the products. Prices here are not average high street (ranging from about £70 to nearing £200 for a pair of jeans)but this is not an average high street shop and clothing is generally of superior quality and design, and sometimes rare - several products are sold in few other places worldwide.

There are displays which are great and it is very colourful...the store keeps up with the latest trends and fashions and offers clothing at very competitive prices. There are accessories and shoes too, plus some underwear and fancy bits and pieces. There are changing rooms, these are quite roomy and clean. The checkout is at the bottom of the store on the right and is normally well staffed. Staff are very helpful and very friendly, there is normally music playing and the store has a nice atmosphere. My daughter likes this store and often browses when we are shopping in the town. I would highly recommend the store.
