We live in southern Wisconsin and have not had the pleasure of visiting Pink Shears. But we almost feel like we know them because we make donations to KAHR -- the Keshena Animal Help & Rescue organization which serves the Menominee Reservation. When we read KAHR's newsletters, again and again we see Pink Shears mentioned with gratitude. When lost and abused animals are rescued, they are often dirty, afflicted with fleas or ticks, and often have matted fur and various skin conditions. I gather that one of the first steps for many of these animals is to be taken to Pink Shears for a thorough grooming, which not only makes the animals feel better but is also helpful to those who do their physical examinations. Many thanks to Pink Shears for donating such a wonderful service to these lost and frightened animals who have often suffered so much. My little Greta can't wait to get out of the car once she sees Pink Shear's building. She prances into the build knowing that the day is going to be a fun filled doggie daycare day. I take her even when I don't have appointments or shopping once a week so she can see her friends. The biggest and ("I mean the biggest") praise I have to say is that when she runs into my arms when the day is done is that she doesn't have that horrible "kennel pee" smell that seems to be the end result from going to places elsewhere and then having to give her a bath at home after a long tiring day at the Dr's, etc. Once for whatever reason, she must have gotten stinky because upon picking her up they told me they had given her a quick bath without charging me. WOW! now that's customer service above and beyond. My only wish would be that they offered daycare for Saturdays and Sundays or offer Friday extended hours so I could enjoy an out-of-town supper or show with family or friends. I for one would be willing to pay a premium of 15-20 for 4 hours of time then. Lastly, as far as grooming... THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!!! Their prices are fair. THEY LISTEN TO YOUR WISHES AND THE FINAL RESULTS ARE HOWLING PERFECTION!!! read more

I had my first experience today with Pink Shears. I was referred there by an acquaintance and I couldn't be happier with the results. In 90 minutes my German Shepherd was bathed, groomed, under coat blown out, ears, and nails all done. He looks great, smells good, and looks very comfortable. The woman that did the work was knowledgeable and the facility is clean and modern. I highly recommend. read more
