The tree had fallen on my fence and the entire root bulb was uprooted. They came out to remove the tree THE NEXT DAY! They were so professional with all the right equipment to do a perfect job and even saved my fence! I don't know how anyone could have done a better job. The thing that really impressed me was how knowledgeable they were their friendly yet professional demeanor. They trunk was removed and everything (including my fence) looked perfect when they left. What could have been a very stressful situation was instead fascinating to watch.

There were three guys that tag-teamed the yard - one mowing, one trimming, and one blowing off the trimmings. They were lightning fast, even in the heat, and it looked pretty good, despite a few long spots here and there. I was hopeful that they were going to work out and was initially a bit impressed. I especially liked that they said their equipment is solar powered. I chalked up the long spots to the previous service we used and figured it would take a couple mows to get the grass back to looking the way it should. Well, that never happened. They really seemed to be slacking on the trimming after that first service. I have specified twice in emails of where I need mowed and trimmed. My second email was just a few days ago and was acknowledged yesterday. I feel like it was blatantly disregarded. I have weeds all over my driveway, along sidewalk and patio and near front stoop that do not appear to have been whacked at all. I am left to have to deal with these weeds myself. Today, just hours after it was freshly mowed, there are long shoots of grass all over and dandelion stems standing a foot tall in the center of my backyard. There is still a lot of long grass that is lying down as well, especially in the back and side yards. This is not what I expect a lawn to look like the same day it was mowed and it will certainly look like utter hell in a few days. I wanted to give these guys a chance. I took into account all of the rain we had been getting last month and the long grass left behind from my previous lawn service. This is just not acceptable to me and is certainly not worth what they were paid. I believe their speed is an impediment as they are apparently breezing through jobs rather than taking the time to pay attention to detail. The only positive besides the solar-powered equipment is that they never hurt my garden or flower beds. For being one of the highest priced services I have used, they turned out to be one of the most disappointing. I have cancelled future service and will not be using them again. Stars adjusted after receiving email responses that claim I just don't understand how grass is cut. They say it is cut long in the summer so that the grass can survive on little water, but it still does not explain the shoots and dandelions that stick up unevenly in many places. They also say they would need a waiver signed for trimming in the driveway in case gravel (there is none) would damage the property. It was also stated that trimming in the driveway posed a danger to to the workers. Rather than explain this, they just didn't trim. These policies were never mentioned upfront. Only now that I complained and wanted to cancel. More perturbed after further contact with the owner. The responses just feel like BS excuses for a crappy job.

His team took care of our dogs to ensure they didn't run away when they were moving back and forth from the backyard to the front yard. I was actually suspicious of the pricing at first, but it seems like they use tech (in this case a bucket lift truck instead of climbers for the altitude work) where it makes sense. We hired them to remove a couple small dead trees, do a 25' high limb removal, and trim the top deadwood off of another tree. Tree of Life crew rolled up with a team and bunch of equipment, worked quickly as specified with Luis on the quote. They got the planned work done and did not mess around... What really distinguished them to me was the care of the property. They brought blowers and cleaned up after the cutting areas. They brought a chipper for the branches and truck to do any other hauling. For a high cut, they brought in a bucket truck, and laid down rubber track mats to ensure the yard wasn't damaged by the tires. They watched out for the various cables and things attached to our house to avoid damage from limbs. This showed good attention to how they did their work and care for the customer. Would recommend and will schedule again!
