The company lied about offering financing, otherwise I would never have agreed to the work…read more "The work" they performed was minimal: cutting some drywall and discarding it, peeling up my floorboards, spraying a substance on the subfloor, and running a fan for nearly six weeks. The workers were only in the house three times for a grand total of about four hours. Crucially, when they left, the remediation work was NOT complete. Another company had to be brought in later to finish the job, which involved properly replacing rotted, moldy floorboards with new ones. That said, around week two--before the work had even progressed a quarter of the way--they sent a bill for nearly $7,000. The person I met with initially had quoted a price of under $2,000. For reference, the actual proper remediation work they failed to do only cost the second company about $450. In short, this company took a ton of money for almost no work and, despite their job being to remove it, left mold in my home.

They proceeded to tear up 8 walls when my insurance called to tell me what they were doing. I called and told them to cease and desist. they left their fans and I came home to a mess, 4 days later they came for their stuff and wanted extra money for tearing up walls and leaving equipment that I had told them to take. so then they tried to do a fraudulent claim saying they did an asbestos test, which they never did as the whole thing wasn't even four years old. Insurance said they were going to deny it, but somehow they did get paid for it even though there were no lab results because there was no test. Don't call these guys...... dishonest.

When I tried to explain the problem, it was, "huh? Huh? Huh? I can't hear you" Extremely rude as well as incompetent. "Never seen one of these (brand new refrigerator from Western Auto), Where's your manual? How do you turn it on? Well, just unplug it for a while. I'll come back later." Will NEVER buy another appliance if he is the "only and official Whirlpool" repair person. Will NEVER allow him back in my home or any others that I can tell my story to. I would report him if I knew who to call. Totally irresponsible and Covid-19 dangerous! Beware.

The owner of Hotline shows up, diagnoses a stove problem then badmouths the the landlord (us) to the tenant (as our tenant informed us.) Shocked to hear this person claimed TO OUR TENANT we didn't pay our bills, and good luck getting a working stove out of us., wont repair the stove. After hearing this from our tenant, we called him directly to hear the same claim of an unpaid bill, again shocked to hear this. We've never not paid his bills with records of several payments and many face to face encounters over the years with never a mention of this issue. Our follow up to get to the bottom of his issue was met with unanswered phone calls and a personal visit to the business address - again without response. Finally, during a second attempt for a face to face at his business location, I accidentally ran into him. He had no cares in the world about his unresponsiveness and no intentions to respond. No cares over his unwillingness (inability) to back up his claims or to resolve his issue. No concern over our attempts to resolve HIS issue, and no inclination to do anything. No regard or comments/slander for discussing his issues with our tenant. I was told, "Our problem", the bill was "8 or 9 years ago", "wrote it off". Over the years, after several service calls - each of them less than $200 and paid in full, this is the way this ends. And for certain, it ends. You don't get to badmouth, refuse to back it up, and avoid consequences. How to burn a bridge in a small community. Sadly Home Depot was and will be our solution over a once valued local resource. Shameful.
