Shortly after the policy was switched, I received an increase. How I wish I never would have switched. Then, I would be told the premium was increasing because I had a unit empty. Then once the unit was rented, it increased again. Then I was told that because it is no longer empty, the premium increased. With no claims ever in 20+ years, it continued to climb and more than doubled in a few short years with this agency. Previous to this company, my largest increase had been~ 10%. When I finally terminated the insurance, it took ~10 weeks and 5 days to get the refund. In fact, I had to go pick it up. I was initially told it was mailed in March by co-owner, Tana Zipsie. When I drove an hour to pick up the check, the employee told me the refund check had never issued until that very day that I picked it up. That was in direct conflict with what I had been told on several occasions by Tana. There were so many issues. Tana told me the sales tax was not refundable. Sales tax on an insurance policy? I never heard of it. I called the St of Mo and they said insurance policies should not be charged sales tax. Then the CSR looked for the Ins Groupe and could not even find that they ever paid Missouri sales tax. Huh? If Norma, the other co-owner, was the sole owner and the only one I interacted with, then I might consider it. She was always A+ with her service and professionalism. But, no way, would I consider with those kinds of unethical shenanigans from Tana regarding the refund check and then was the repeated huge premium increases. His office is constantly giving excuses for him up to and including Lori his assistants telling us private medical information about his minor children and then hanging up on us. This stems from his negligence to inform us about the fact that even after we canceled our policies with Farmers on Jan 28th 2020 that they would not inform our lender and took a payment from our escrow when none was due. Furthermore that we would be charges $60.00 for a loss of discount again something he purposely omitted during the cancelation process. I of course understand people need to be able to care for their children but it is no excuse to lie and totally fail doing your job professionally. Lori is very rude and will not hesitate to hang up on customers. I can only assume this is due to his inability to do his job. In my opinion he should step down and let someone who can do the job take over. Farmers corporate office was of no help whatsoever and I expect nothing from them in terms of addressing the incompetence of their licensed agent. Young girl with tattoos all over took me back to her office and printed my Insurance cards, said they not download their referrals from Progressive. Plus my car was considered Totaled, even without airbags exploding. Progressive is a RIP-OFF!! They not offer to repair, they only gave $10,219 to my lender. Car only had 46,656 miles. The super nice receptionist was very helpful and friendly and I got exactly what I needed. Most recently, we'd just relocated to Lee's Summit and our CA auto insurance literally expired the same day. (Yikes!) I remembered the AAA I had visited a few months prior and we beelined there. Agent Scott Dillenschneider went above and beyond to get us covered. He stayed late and did not rush us out the door even though we didn't have an appointment and the office was closing shortly. He was friendly, professional and thorough, qualities I always appreciate. Scott went over the coverage, patiently explained certain differences between California and Missouri insurance after asking pertinent questions which determine one's rate. He even followed up with a phone call the next day to explain the process of getting our MO drivers licenses: that before we go to the DMV -yes- he gave me directions to the closest one! - that the vehicles need to be inspected, etc. All valuable time-saving advice which is why I absolutely recommend Scott.
