When I got there, I was a little bit confused by the architecture of the building and wasn't sure where I was supposed to go in. Finally, I made my way inside to what I believe to be the main floor. There wasn't a ton of space in here, but more than enough room to highlight some great vendors. I browsed some jams, rad terrariums, artwork, etc. I made my way upstairs, but again, the size of the building didn't allow for much capacity and I ended up feeling too close to strangers and left. Even though I once lived in Bridgeland, this is the first time I have visited this centre. And when it was brought to the attention of the employees they just brushed it off going I'll talk to them. 1st incident 2 girls much older then my daughter were picking on her then purposely stepped on her head several times. And when it was brought to the attention they just shrugged and walked away. Then going through the obstacle course another bigger kid barrled over her without a second though. Running full tilt... I under accidents happen in a busy area but if there is bullying and kids being mean they should be held accountable. I'm very very disappointed

I call it a community hall because calling it the Varsity community building just doesn't have the same feel to it. If you're from a small town, the hall itself isn't so much what you'd expect. See, where I grew up, the community hall was a one room deal with a stage at the end. This one's got a multitude of rooms in different shapes and sizes that are used for a variety of different things (dance classes, Girl Guides and even a playschool). The hall is great (and cheap) for small group kind of rentals. Unlike your small town hall (big hall for the small town rather than the other way around), I don't think you'll want to be catering any big weddings here. But with a playground right outside, some field space, and easy accessibility just off Shaganappi Trail, you've got a solid venue for your event(s).

When they left, we had one other couple join the patio. She made sure to come out often enough but also let us enjoy our time. She made some great food recommendations as well. She also treated us to Fiasco Gelato for dessert once she found out how much I love it and because it was our anniversary. How sweet is that?! The only reason that I am giving four stars is that the patio is small and you are sitting very close to know another. There is no music or anything so you feel kinda awkward having a conversation (especially if the other table is sitting there quietly). There is also no hostess to show you where to go, so we weren't sure where and when to sit. The view is spectacular though and the course looks amazing! The food is delicious and the drinks are good too! Big kudos to Jenny though. She certainly deserves a five star rating.

Cobbs Adventure Park in Calgary AB was definitely a great and fun place to visit !!!…read moreIt is a mix of zoo, activities, games and rides for the kids and family, a little restaurant and sweets stand :) The zoo is a bit of an animal farm with two capybaras, kangaroos and wallabies, sheep, goats, pigs, porcupines, emus, chickens / roosters and a turkey, and a sloth. Part of the experience is that, with the purchase of tickets, you can go into the capybara enclosure and meet the capys, feed and pet them. We are big fans of capybaras, we saw them in person at the Edmonton zoo, and follow many accounts on Instagram, but this was our first time meeting and petting them. They are super relaxed and super friendly. We had the opportunity to feed them fruits and greens, which was so funny!! We then visited the kangaroos and wallabies. Both were friendly, soft and used to humans. We visited with them, and fed them foods. We visited and interacted with the sheep and alpacas, which were also nice to see and pet. The staff of the park were very friendly and professional, and answered any questions visitors would have about animals. The ambiance was very nice - visiting with the animals, having a snack or busy with the games, it was a great day to enjoy the outdoors and animals!!

Admission is $24.50, reduced for children & seniors, we purchased a headset and the Canadian Hall of Fame as well.. Inside is the NMC Gift Shop & Café. There are 5 floors of exhibitions that tell the story of music in Canada, celebrate music icons at 4 Canadian Halls of Fame, rock out at interactive instrument installations & contain North America's most eclectic musical instrument collection. There are recording studios, family events, the CKUA radio station and venue rentals. There was so much to see I didn't realize Joni Mitchell, Paul Anka, Bryan Adams , Alanis Morissette, Shania Twain, The Weeknd, Neil Young ...were Canadian. The building itself is beautiful.
