When dining at Pear Street Bristo on Friday (great food, service, and atmosphere, BTW) I noticed a stack of cards advertising "Life Sucks" by Aaron Posner at the Pinole Community Playhouse around the corner. We decided to wait for the Sunday matinee. What amazing talent, what a wonderful comfortable theater, what a thought-provoking play! Each of the actors was stellar. Combine that with the folks managing/directing/producing the play/theater, and engagement by the audience and this was a memorable experience. Thank you - we'll be back! :)

This is an excellent christian school which our kids need and their education is amazing. Its a safe, loving and God fearing environment who put God, the kids and education as a top priority. To those who read Laurie M. review she is a complusive liar with major anger issues. She reviewed them negatively because the school wouldnt force me to leave a parking spot so she can have it. Which sounds crazy but it is the truth. She lied about the pastor and the staff whom she only met once to ask him to make me move and calls everyone ignorant when she doesnt get her way. Clearly she has serious anger issues and needs Jesus. Today she blocked me in forcing me to contact the school to talk to her. I am glad her son is in 8th grade graduating so I dont have to deal with her next year. If she would have asked me like a normal person to please move and explained why, I would have, instead she flipped me off and blocked me with her car. Again please do not let her post steer you in the wrong direction if you are looking for a Christian school to put your young kids in. I believe this is one of the best schools that the bay area has to offer. Thanks goodness for them.

An intense, exciting time! They won an award for choreography at JTF West! She also did Triple Threat and High school Musical this summer. So to say the least, We Are FANs! We feel so lucky to have Chelsea teaching our daughter! A lovely personality and mentor, a highly skilled dancer and choreographer, a patient and kind Director. The Music Director Kevin warmly and patiently builds the student's musical understanding and performances. His contribution keeps musical standards high and performances enjoyable. The Business Director/Producer Rachel adds the no nonsense behind the scenes taking care of business ballast for all this creativity. We are grateful for her expertise to keep SingOut thriving. Originally named DLOC in 1959 when they formed a company performing Gilbert & Sullivan Light Operas. Eventually they changed the name to Diablo Theater Co. They had a youth program called STARS 2000, which continues to this day to operate. Diablo Theater Co. that use to produce large scale Musicals & Light Opera productions at the Lesher Center For The Arts in Walnut Creek, is no longer in business. STARS 2000 continues as their own company. There is no other youth program that is under the auspices of the Diablo Theater Co. and in fact their studios were sold and are under the ownership of Performing Arts Academy.

The program is a combination of play based activities with a strong focus on academics to prepare them for K-12. They also learn words and songs in Spanish and sign language. Each week they get to practice writing, coloring, cooking, science, experiments, sharing toys from home, and extracurricular activities like gymnastics, martial arts, music and much more! The facility is impeccably clean and organized, with toys and activities presented in rotation to keep them stimulated and engaged. My son is strong willed and easily one of the most stubborn individuals I've ever met, but the staff here handled him with grace and helped guide him to foster excellent social and listening skills. Ms. Sonja, Ms. Vanessa, Ms. Abigail, Ms. Gen, and even Ms. Dara who is no longer there - THANK YOU for loving and caring for my child like he was your own. Mommy Peaches has the best set ups and parties. What really warmed my heart was during every holiday, she would always send my daughter a gift or gift bag. My daughter was never in her school.
