Due to "Covid" years later, all of the other swim centers in the surrounding areas are closed until further notice except this one. There is a $7 entry fee for non-locals and they are open from 1-4pm for Rec Swim. The area itself is clean and relaxing. There are 3 restrooms all with full showers that are also clean. They also have a shallow pool (2.5ft) for the littles, and a bigger pool (3.5-6ft) for those who either pass the swim test or want to dive/do cannon balls lol. I believe anything beyond 3.5ft requires a swim test. The lifeguards are ON IT and as far as I could tell friendly, but firm which is good to establish boundaries. I'll definitely be back

Birthday parties can be had and friendly games of baseball was so fun! The field is near the freeway and there is a food stand on site for treats and small bites. Cash and cards are accepted. It's enjoyable by all ages. Come out, watch a game or play your own or let your little ones run off sugar highs!

I've only eaten here for the holiday special lunches on Halloween. The food was good enough that I finished it; however, it might be seasoned for older people and be on the bland side. I entered the building and was greeted by a women who spoke to me as though I had broken the law. She interrogated me and made me feel most unwelcomed, even though I told her I was there to get information. I won't be going back to this unfriendly environment and shame on them for calling themselves a Senior Center. There is definitely a lack of community service coming from this place

I was amazed to read a review complaining about people taping off parking spots so people could not park. I usually park on the street or at the Senior Center across the creek. There is no dedicated parking lot. I come to this park during the summer when the lunch meet-up group moves outdoors for our monthly lunch. Most of the other times I walk through the park for a few extra steps before I follow the trail next to the park to the bay.

** The following review reflects my experience DURING the COVID-19 pandemic. **…read more I would've never discovered this sliver of a park had it not been for an article I read about the $13 million footbridge that was built to extend the San Pablo Bay Regional Trail over the Amtrak rails above the wetlands and into Pinole Shores (review: https://bit.ly/3mVUVcf). It was completed about three years ago, and by default, the architectural addition made this small natural area a central hub for walkers and bicyclists searching for an uninterrupted stretch along this part of the bay. A small patch of greenery with panoramic bay views, it's a nice respite with plenty of birds in constant motion especially if you stroll along the rocky shore. Don't be put off by the sewage plant or the trains that speed by with frequency. Easy for me to say. It's at the end of Tennent Avenue, a straight chute from the Pinole Valley Road exit off 80.
