My friends actually won this gift certificate and she chose me to celebrate my birthday and her birthday. We had a very wonderful time with her winning. She also got two champagne bottles with two glasses that were so cool. Our instructor for the day was awesome. She explained everything to the tea how to do it. She had patience and the best thing about when we went. It was at a good time slot in the sense of there was not too many people in there as we did take the pain and sip for the 11 a.m. slot and just looking at all the paintings all around the room was cool and I love the fact that not only did you have one TV to look at you had a couple of TVs to look at so that you can actually see what she did on the screen if you want a girl day out or taking your niece, your granddaughter I highly recommend this place read more

Came here for my one of my friends birthday today for the magic pumpkin painting and it was an awesome time! The place was big, we only had four other people during our timeframe and the instructor was great! I think a lot of events like these really make out well when the instructor is super involved and keeps good conversation while painting. Our instructor was Monica and she was amazing! She was super helpful as I was struggling with certain things on my painting and was quick to help! She even overheard that it was my friends birthday and allowed her to choose a free painting on the wall for her birthday!!!! I thought that was absolutely fantastic! My friend was so excited and walked out with her painting and another painting. The price was not bad for the event as it was held for two hours and we had an awesome time. "Had a great time painting per usual. My only issue is the Friday night crowd in Ridgewood seems to be a bit more rowdy then I'd prefer. I've done Friday night painting at other locations and people have fun and sing to songs but my experience friday was that some of the other guests had a few drinks before even stepping in the door. I love to sip wine and relax when painting but belting songs on the top of your lungs ruins the atmosphere in my opinion. I'll be back to Ridgewood's Pinot's Pallet but never on a Friday night even if it's ofa painting I like." I've since been back to Ridgewood's location both during daytime hours and on a Saturday evening and must say that I've had a wonderful time - that one night must've been a one off. The place is cute, but totally disorganized. We had booked a party but when we arrived they didn't have an area reserved for us. We were moved several times, and we had to figure ourselves where to set up our food and drinks. They started really late, they rushed us through with little breaks to grab a drink or go to the bathroom. And even though they started late, they didn't adjust the end time and rushed everyone out. read more

Paint night and BYOB. Painting was fun! We drew an elephant which looked pretty nice at the end I don't know how to paint anything that is not abstract. Coming in, you will be directed to your assigned seat and your name will be marked in chalk. There is a bathroom and ice buckets where you can leave your wine bottle between glasses. The music during class was great. There was a mix of old and new and I found myself singing along several times. The seats are very close together. There is very little room for brushes and paints, but it is workable. I would also recommend leaving a big purse at home or place it on the floor. Food - there are plenty of places around. I got Indian food delivered from across the street. There was little time to eat while painting. Also there was little room for the food. If you go, I would recommend small bite things and to make sure you are not too hungry. read more

I came here with my boyfriend on our anniversary. The host were very friendly and very patient they also mentioned that this was their first class back after Covid. I brought in a bottle of wine which they had and ice bucket reserved for every group there. They gave us a plastic apron due to Covid as well as separated us throughout the room. Overall had a great time and laughed a ton the person who guided us through the painting was very patient and very reassuring. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I have zero artistic ability but the instructor made it so easy to follow along and the painting came out really well (must be the wine!). This was my first time coming to pinot palette and I must say I loved it. I am not an artsy person at all and some how with the help of these wonderful ladies I was able to end up with a great painting plus a free one that I won (Yay). As you walk in you have a coat rack & cubbies so you are able to store away your personal belonging or anything you don't want to get pain on. They also give you some smocks which are located towards the back so again you stay nice & clean. We brought some wine but I also noticed other brought chips & hummus which is def a great idea. They give you some label stickers so you can make sure you know which wine is yours. Through the establishment you will find all different paintings that they have done in the past/ or will in the future. At the end of the session everyone takes a picture as a group. It's a really great thing to do on a date, or even a group of friends, family or as a team building event. I can't wait to go back ! read more

My girlfriends and I do a monthly dinner date, but, this month, we decided to change it up a bit. We took a class on Thursday, the first paint class I've ever taken, and was pleasantly surprised! We had such a great time. Everyone is assigned a station, so once you get there all you have to do is find your name, pour some wine and take a seat. The instructor leading the class was very sweet, she took her time and showed us step by step what we needed to do and how to do it. It's a BYOB (huge plus), and you can also bring snacks to munch on! What a great concept, so fun! Go check it out! read more

I purchased two seats for a Paint Your Pet class and had a great experience. The concept is that you email a picture of your pet to them by the deadline, they have it printed onto a canvas and that is your "guide" to paint from on the day of the class. It sounds like having it on the canvas would make it too easy but trust me, it's not -- trying to get the colors and shading right is plenty hard enough for an inexperienced painter. I was past the deadline to email the picture of my pet and they emailed promptly on a Sunday that I could still get it in. They were helpful and fast. On the day of the class, me and my mom came in to a prepped space with our pre-printed canvas, paint and brushes. The class was run nicely and had several people walking around to help you when you got stuck. There was no skimping on paint or supplies and they even had frames you could purchase for your painting before leaving. I thought this was a top-notch experience and I would definitely do it again. The only downside to this location is that the parking in Ridgewood is all meter parking and it's a maximum of 3 hours so with a 3.5 hour class I had to run out to my car to add change to the meter. I also imagine if it was a weeknight class, the parking would have been a lot harder to come by so give yourself some extra time! read more

Came here for the first time as a Girl's Night out with 5 friends. I am far from an artist. Give me a floral arrangement, general crafts, or scrapbooking, and that's my jam. I was a little hesitant with painting, but thought it would be a fun night with friends. As other people commented, definitely get there about a half hour early so you can have your snack and a drink (alcoholic or not!). Now it's time to put on your apron and sit down in the spot picked for you with your name written in chalk. The person conducting the class tells you how much paint to use, which colors to mix, and where to put it. They guide you step by step and there are even other people who work there to help out. In the end, my painting wasn't all that bad! My photography is far better, but it was decent. This is such a great place! I'd come back with friends again or a date. I see they offer family sessions, so that would be fun to bring my nieces and nephews too. read more

Had the best time tonight at pinots palette! Have been wanting to go for over a year now. It exceeded my expectations. The space was large, clean and colorful. My husband and I plus two friends came to Pinots Palette last night and had a great time. We couldn't believe how many people came to paint. We all did Van Gogh's Starry night. It was our first time doing this......we probably should have picked a less difficult picture for our first try, but we learned a few things and was amazed how everyone's picture somehow had a different but similar look depending on the strokes and colors that they used. I plan on going again sometime.......it was a fun experience......makes you want to become an artist. read more
