From day one, it was evident that this class was not rooted in integrity. John consistently made sexually suggestive jokes--habitual, inappropriate comments that disrupted the safety and sanctity of the learning environment. This wasn't a one-off misstep; it was a pattern of behavior that created discomfort and betrayed the seriousness of the subject matter. No one teaching herbalism--or any subject--should normalize that type of energy in a space intended for healing. Jane, on the other hand, carried an air of superiority that made it clear she was less interested in teaching and more interested in control. She mocked former students in front of the class, dismissing them for not "doing anything" with the knowledge they gained. That level of arrogance and public belittlement creates shame, not growth--and it contradicts everything a true teacher should stand for. When students sought clarity, John frequently dodged or deflected questions. Instead of thoughtful guidance, we were met with vague responses or outright dismissal. And Jane didn't stop at shaming past students--she went as far as making a degrading, classist remark about my partner, implying she was "probably poor" for being a caregiver. That wasn't just rude--it was prejudiced, judgmental, and deeply uncalled for. When my partner chose to leave the class and shared her experience publicly, I posted my review as well--because she stayed in the class longer and I wanted to speak for myself. Instead of accepting honest feedback, they responded by deleting my partner's review and labeling it "bullying." So let me make this crystal clear. Yes, I support my partner. But this review isn't about her--it's about my direct experience. And what I witnessed firsthand was bullying. What I felt was hostility cloaked in faux-spiritual rhetoric. What I endured was a space where power dynamics were abused and where criticism was met with retaliation, not reflection. You don't foster learning--you suppress it. You don't encourage growth--you stifle it. You don't lead with humility--you lead with ego and fragility. John's behavior wasn't "humor"--it was inappropriate and unprofessional. Jane's approach wasn't "tough love"--it was condescension masked as guidance. And your response to feedback wasn't "integrity"--it was image protection at the expense of truth. What you market as "honesty" is, in truth, spiritual bypassing. What you teach is overshadowed by the way you treat people. You shut down criticism, delete valid reviews, and paint yourselves as victims whenever you're asked to be accountable. And for the record lets keep it real. Gaslighting is erasing someone's experience and calling it an attack. Bullying is mocking students, demeaning their choices, and disguising superiority as mentorship. Despite being fascinated by psychics and their alleged abilities, I always wondered how real it was. When I read the class descriptions, I was interested in many of the classes offered. I first signed up for a class about finding your life's purpose. The description of the class promised that you would find your life's purpose. It turned out that the class was just a guided meditation where you were supposed to either find your life's purpose while meditating or see signs about it. I did not see anything and I was told that it was because I was new to it. Then, I took a Tarot reading class. The entire class was literally just going through the meaning of each card, one by one. The teacher didn't provide notes so everyone in the class was rushing to write down what each card meant before she went on to the next one. I felt that we would have been better off just buying a written guide explaining the meaning of each card. Despite not loving these two classes, I came across the curriculum for Clair 1 and it sounded like a wonderful course where students learn a lot about psychic skills & methods. I thought that this was my chance to learn about how people do readings, healings, and much more. I wasn't sure if I was ready for Clair 1 but the owner assured me that I would be just fine. So fast forward to Clair 1. The classes were held once a week for several months. The class size was very small with just a few people. The curriculum appeared to be very in depth and the course was more than $1K, so it was definitely a commitment. As a student in Clair 1, we also had opportunities to sit in on healings monthly with students in higher level courses and the public. The owner also was involved in those. I will say that on the positive side, the owner appeared to be genuine and tries to make the class available to anyone who wants to take it, even if they can't afford it. So onto the experience I had with Clair 1. Week after week, I kept waiting to actually learn the psychic abilities and skills, but it ended up just being all meditation and sharing what you see in your head. I felt like I was making things up and this was not at all what I had in mind when I decided to take this course. I spoke with several others in the course who felt the same way, but we were all told that it would come the more we practiced. I remember sharing that I wasn't "seeing" things in my meditations and the teacher's assistant asked if I was practicing the meditations. Actually, almost every single thing we learned was all in meditation and being encouraged to just share what you see in your head during the meditations, even if it didn't make sense. People in the school claimed that the teacher I had was a talented reader & healer, but I never once heard her share anything that would prove this. Honestly, the instructor that I had was a former bartender who found an easier way to make money. She even said that she never thought that she would be teaching something like this. Now, there is nothing wrong with bartending, I'm just trying to give you the real picture here. Many of the instructors had to basically beg and push people to attend their classes. I noticed in one of the other Clair classes that all of the few students in the class were people the teacher knew before coming to the school. As mentioned, the course titles will say something like learn your life's purpose but again, all it is, is doing guided meditations and sharing what you saw during it, if anything. If you don't see anything, you will be told that you have to keep practicing (sure, take more classes). I added the second star because I did feel that the owner and other instructors do try to make the experience as worthwhile as they can. I did however, feel fooled in the end as I never saw anything in the meditations. This experience made me feel like psychic abilities are not real and it's all just made up. This was clearly a very disappointing experience and I really wish I had known this, so I thought I should share this honest review so that others can know how the courses really are there. So in summary, if you are okay with the entire course just being meditation and sharing whatever pops into your mind, you will like the classes there. If not, you will be very disappointed.

Right away, I felt awe for the healers who offered readings in this class. I was matched up with several gifted healers who all offered me beautiful messages and healing energy. And they were 100% spot on. I felt immense peace in my heart after just 10 short minutes, and felt the energy running through my body as they were offering healing. Shortly after, I signed up for my first class and became a student of the school! :) I was sold after that experience and knew I wanted to be a part of this school and this community. I'm 9 months in and have signed up for my second 6 month course with my teacher, Corey, who is wonderful and an unbelievably gifted healer! I feel like I've found my tribe. Each week I learn so much and do work I never could have imagined. I should also mention that I've been doing healing work myself for nearly 6 years now. The students are geeky, wacky, nerdy, different, intelligent, unique, confident, and wonderful! My daughter said that she didn't want to go to any other school because she is with "her people" and she is right. Dr. McCurdy said in last year's commencement speech, "If you aren't failing, you aren't learning." What a great place to make mistakes, learn from them, and make improvements. I'm so excited for the students attending SET High because they are learning real-world skills at such an early age in a supportive, caring, and fun environment. I recommend oatmeal with plant-based milk, walnuts, and your fruit of choice. If you are so inclined, have a cup of coffee or tea. - Make sure you know where this location is (and don't confuse it with the other ACC). GPS misled me, I had to walk a quarter mile from where I parked on the street, and I was lucky to find the testing site. - Give yourself plenty of time to get here. I'm really glad that I did. WHAT THE... Probably…read morethe worst location to ever take any exam. Only picked this place because of distance to home and work. My colleague warned me about the noise level (construction noise outside) and I reasoned that she took the exam a few yrs ago and no construction at the moment. I should have taken that as a sign and pick a different location. 1) CROWDED EXAM ROOM. The front desk guy mentioned "if you want you can remove your mask". I replied, sure maybe when I sit down. When I was escorted to the room and saw the amount of people, I decided to keep it on the entire test. Although we are nearing the end of a pandemic, the pandemic is still here - 8 people per room and the rooms being tiny as a shoe box was sketchy. People next to me can see my screen and visa versa. I can hear the person next to me breathe. They could do a better job with logistics. 2) LOUD AF. People walking in and out of the room at a constant rate. The door keeps opening and closing. The front desk administrator guy keeps running his chops in the room. At the door way. In the hallways. Do you not see people are testing... this is not a communal lounge area. At the least the people who were testing were doing their best to keep quiet for others when shuffling in and out of the room but the staff here... please have some courtesy. In addition the cheap headphones didn't work very well. Also freeway traffic is loud but that's almost like white noise I didn't mind. It was a Sunday morning and apparently building cleanup crew were on site so there was vacuuming happening too. 3) UNCOMFORTABLE CHAIRS. Tiny desks with 30 yr old chairs were killing my posture. I have a small figure and that chair was tiny for me - it is made for a child. My back and neck were hurting for 1.5hrs making it tough to concentrate. Take some pain killers before coming here! It was the most inconvenient place to take a big exam that you spent hundreds of dollars to register, spent months studying for, and mandatory to pass and here you are struggling with the surroundings. The administrators move slowly. They said raise your hand if you have a question... my hand was raised for 5 minutes until someone came to my aide. Luckily I was done with the test but could you imagine if I was test taking - that's precious time. "The camera is right there just raise your hand if you need us"... LIES. ... anyways, I passed!
