She makes it a personal experience that no big club, gym, or corporation can replicate. The membership is very reasonable for not only what's included in the facility but the environment of it and with 24 hour access; the accessibility of which you can do so. It's also very conveniently located between Wasilla and Palmer. This might not be a gym with everything you personally believe you need. It may not be a gym with the newest equipment. It may not have any leisure sports, activities, or clubs included. But it does have personality. It does have great ownership. It does have great community. It does have necessities. It does have motivated members. It does have personal time management utilization. No other gym in the valley, let alone Anchorage compares. There is only one gym where you can walk in at anytime, be called by name without checking a card or ID, have access to a variety of great equipment, not pay a crazy amount for access, and be motivated and have everything you need to chase your fitness goals. The price was right and the lady I talked to on the phone was really nice. We set up a time for our excursion. I was running a little bit late and let them know. They dropped off the kayaks at the drop off area. Which is about a quarter of a mile to the shoreline. These two 5'4" ladies had to attempt to drag the kayaks all the way down to the shoreline. The best part is the return., A family from Texas helped us get the kayaks to the pick up place. And the guy who met us to pick up the kayaks didn't offer to help, watched us the entire time and told our friends to load up the kayaks in the back of his truck. We ended up drove to Mirror Lake one hour earlier than 1 PM our appointment time but Chris was accommodating and delivered I will 2 double kayaks around noon and pick them up one hour later. We had a great time there. We saw another customer who were waiting for their equipment to be pick up the same time. We highly recommend Chris for any of your equipment rentals With very reasonable prices and excellent customer service.

This is a very short, but very strenuous, hike with incredible summit views of the Twin Peaks, Bold…read morePeak, and Bashful Peak (the highest mountain in the Chugach). It is usually starting to melt out in April, although it can be done year-round with the right equipment. Micro spikes are useful for snow in the winter and snow and mud in the shoulder seasons. No five stars for Gold Star because the summit contains a lot of stuff that I would consider litter. Man-made trinkets that take away from the beauty of nature. But, it is outside the boundary of Chugach State Park so I don't think it's illegal or anything. I would expect it to take the average hiker 2-4 hours up, half that down.

Archangel, normally the road out to the Reed Lakes Trail in the summer, is a wide, well groomed trail in the winter. The space for skate skiing is broad. The grooves for classic (or is it Nordic?) are deep. Sometimes the classic grooves are over run by the skate skis. Here, the space for the skate skiers seems so wide, the classic grooves are clear. There is a parking lot at the beginning of the road. It's a state park fee lot. Five dollars to park per day or the annual pass. The trail goes 7.5km (one way) according to signage. On the way out, there are views, almost immediately, of the Gold Mint Trail and the Little Susitna River. On the way back there are clear views of the Pioneer Range in the distance.

I was very impressed with the kindness and professionalism of the instructors. Yoga OM has great vibes, ambience and music. The Aerial class was fun, thrilling and challenging. Music flow got me moving and loose. Hot flow was a great burner and good sweat. Flow and restore was a great stretch and helped me find my zen. The cold towel after class with essential oil was a surprise treat for the end of class. My friend is also doing the 21 day trial and I enjoyed doing the class with her.
