This layout isn't to bad. Definitely tighter. But man the head pro is not nice at all. I visited here last month and man I was disappointed greens are slow as hell ant hills on the greens weeds growing in the greens and fairways with some bad rough patches. No bunkers on the golf course. Carts were terrible. Will say the lady inside for food was really nice. But overall will never return. Take your money go to Saratoga National about 20 mins from here. An inexpensive local course. Course is well trod and could use a lot of maintenance. Cart paths mostly gravel. The greens are fairly tight and mostly bowl shaped. Trees can come into play around most greens and fairways. Not a course to go out of the way for, but is fine for locals. read more

This is my first time playing this course with a 20 man tournament. Cost is $32 per person. The greens are very tricky as they were sitting at the edge of almost every hole. In the front 9 at hole 6 I'd say it was one of the most challenging holes I've played with a zig zag to the green. There are 3 Par 3s in the front 9 and back 9. They offer a practice green but didn't notice a driving range around. There's decent meals at the clubhouse and offer a full bar. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. The course is well maintained. I would definitely come back again and play here. I believe they don't offer a beer cart or atleast I have not seen one during the time we were out there. This place takes credit also. read more

Pioneer Hills is a nice course, right down the road, and one that you could not beat the price. Check their tee times online, opportunity for nice savings there. Beautiful and challenging Par 5 on #5 with the fairway doglegging to the left and then back to the right. You could be adventurous and try to go straight over though the long grass. The staff is very polite both in the bar/restaurant and the pro shop. Rick is very nice to talk to and he does regripping right on site as well. Credit is accepted. Plenty of parking. read more

Just got done with the worst round of golf ever. Not only was the greens the worst I've ever played but the fairways has grass in patches over my knees. The course manager was a ass over the phone and in person. The greens had ant hills and higher patches of grass all over. Still got charged full price though. I would never, repeat EVER go back to pioneer hills and I really hope no one else does. Seeing how awful the owner is to his customers and how poorly he takes care of his course he doesn't deserve the business read more

This was my first time playing this course. I only played it cause it was chosen by family as a golf outing destination. I told my home golf pro that I was playing it and he told me it was very short, it was and is 5100 yards from the white t's, and that we had a reciprocal. When we arrived at the course for our t time we were greeted with strange looks. I was told that my reciprocal would not be honored and that the charge would be 40.00 per golfer. I would not have cared so much about the cost and not honoring my reciprocal if the attendant was more pleasant. A crotchety older man, assumed to be Rick the pro, offered the worst hospitality I have witnessed. I guess I'm use to the best customer service offered at my home course. As for the golf.... A short course indeed, averagely taken care of with inconsistent greens, resulting in me rating it 1 star. First and last time I play the course. Save your dollars and go play elsewhere. read more

This is a great golf course for the average golfer or even for the serious golfer. When I arrived I went to the pro shop and met Rick, who was very nice and was able to answer all of my questions and even set me up with a new pair of golf shoes! The course was well maintained and provided some difficult pin locations which made the experience that much better. After the round I went into the bar area and the food was top notch! The staff was very friendly and the environment was welcoming. I recommend this course for anyone who is looking for a great time golfing and ready to enjoy some great food after a round of golf. read more

My friends and I chose this golf course because we were looking for a relaxing and easy going game of golf. We were a large party and ended up catching up with each other despite the differing tee times. Despite no other teams being within two holes of our party the manager chose to drive out there and berate us. He was unprofessional and abrasive. We came here because of a slightly earlier tee off time, but after our treatment and the greater cost, on a sub-par course, we will not be returning and encourage others to patronize other golf courses. read more

recently played there , the course was soaking wet, maybe to the point it should have been closed. a new policy theyre starting is upcharging the use of credit cards. in my opinion its just ripping off the customer. then in a confrontation with the manager/pro Rick he just wanted to argue and be confrontational. wont be coming back and recomend people to play elsewhere, even if the price is a little higher by the way played at another course nearby the very next day that was dry as a bone read more

Played 18 holes with another person. The course was pretty well maintained and very challenging. Holes need to be better marked. Often we were unsure what hole we were on. Arrow signs simply said , "Next Tee", but if you make a wrong turn you may not know which tee you're on. Even the flags on the pins had no numbers and two holes were scratched out and another number written in. We had to ask other players and maintenance people for guidance twice.
