The selection is impressive, the staff is attractive...wait, sorry...attentive...and somehow I always leave happier than when I arrived. Special shoutout to Michelle, who runs the store like a well oiled machine. Whether I'm looking for PBR Grillo's Pickle Beer, a bottle of Balvenie 12 Year, or something completely random, they somehow always have it. The shelves stay stocked, the vibes stay good, and my wallet continues making poor decisions.

He suggested Carmen Reserva Frida Kahlo Cabernet Sauvignon Chile 2023 & Organic Arbol De Vida Malbec Argentina 2024. The cabernet had a 91 rating from the Tasting Panel, but the malbec didn't have a rating, as it was a new item. Seeing how it's made with organic grapes, and malbecs are usually good bottles of wine, I chose the Organic Arbol De Vida Malbec Argentina 2024. Organic Arbol De Vida Malbec Argentina 2024- Lovely bottle of wine. Each sip had berries & plum, plus the pucker from expressive tannins. I'm not a wine connoisseur, but I found this particular malbec approachable and non-offensive. However, I'd choose a bottle of bourbon or sake, any day of the week. 1 cent for a bottle of wine? That's cheaper than Boone's Farm! Total Wine wanted to get me nice & toasty on the cheap for my birthday, treating me like a cheap date. Not only did I enjoy sampling 6 different wines but I also enjoyed learning about the different processes of how they were made. And found myself purchasing a bottle of the last one I tasted. Which was a nice red wine. Now yesterday, 03-01-26, I went back for their "In-Store Sip & Explore" event. Had the pleasure of tasting at least 4 different wines at each station. There were 3 total. Both gentlemen were welcoming, professional, courteous and respectful. It was very intriguing learning about each wine. It was like receiving a one-on-one at a wine tasting event just without the charcuterie board lol. It was fun though and I bought a bottle of Vostra Prosecco. I'm definitely attending more of these in-store events and enrolling in their weekly wine classes. And the associates on the floor are always awesome. Being there to answer questions, recommend or suggest and guide in the right direction. I never go wrong coming to this location. I love the energy and vibes.

Makeover! As a…read morelittle kid, I remember patronizing The Liquor Store in Cerritos, whether it be for Bazooka Joe bubble gum, or a large slab of beef jerky. Throughout the years, I'd stop by, from time to time, to purchase lotto tickets and what not. And, throughout the years, The Liquor Store has never had a renovation. The place looked exactly the same as it did, since it probably opened. Now, with an update to the shopping center, and w/ a new proprietor, The Liquor Store now has a modern, more aesthetically pleasing interior. Walking in, I immediately noticed the new, sleek flooring. The lotto machine used to have a makeshift wood frame around it, which was removed. Now, The Liquor Store has a contemporary feel, in line with 7-Eleven and over convenience shops. Service was good. The gentleman working the counter was hospitable to me. There is a shared private lot. The Liquor Store is located at the Sleep Number plaza, right of Belle Vie. The third & current owners spent a lot of money to revitalize The Liquor Store, and I appreciate their effort. No longer looking drab & rundown, the place exhibits a more pleasant customer experience. The Liquor Store is a great stop for picking up lotto or a quick refreshment.
