Clogged drainage pipe connected to kitchen sink and a dripping shut off valve in basement. $630 later neither was fixed. PPH offered to bring in a sledge hammer to break up my basement floor ($500 just to bring it in.) Called Roto Rooter. One hour and $225 later, no clog. I wrote to PPH requesting a $225 refund and to fix my shut off valve for free. I have given them plenty of time to respond. Next, the BBB, PA Dept of Labor, and WCCBI. read more

I am 100% happy with Pipeworks. I saw their billboard on Rt 219 and called to see if they come to Bradford. They do. Nick and Storm came out on a Thursday to look at the work I needed. Douglas came out the following Wednesday to 1.) Put a rain cap on my flue, 2.) Replace plumbing under the kitchen sink, and 3.) Fix a leaking toilet. Douglas was friendly and knowledgeable. He answered my questions thoroughly, but he was focused on the work and not too chatty. He worked very quickly and fixed everything. The bill was reasonable. They confirmed the appointments by text and were on time for both appointments. Nick followed up by phone to make sure the job was done right. These folks could teach a masterclass on professionalism in contracting. read more

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!! Came in and supposedly, replaced the blower motor on the furnace. Which was on a holiday, and I was grateful as it was below zero outside. BUT then 2 hours later my furnace was not working again. Called them back, they came out did not know what was wrong with my furnace. Left me multiple space heaters, said the boss would call the next day. That phone call never came. I called back multiple times they would not return my phone calls !! I called another company to come out. Again it was below zero, this was not a job yu blow off in the middle of, unless your a shister. The replacement part was a 2nd hand part that they charged me full price for!! That would not with stand the cycling of the furnace. This was 8 months ago and still no phone call and they never even came to get their heaters !! VERY POOR service/communication have since heard much negative feedback from others. Our Furnace went bad in Jan, not the warmest of months , We contacted Pipework's .The same day, they sent workers to our home with space heaters. The next day they came and installed a new furnace. I would not recommend this company to anyone. My 69yr mother-in-law has broken water pipes in her well-maintained double-wide home that is on a residential street. She has insurance on the lines and the insurance company hired Pipeworks to fix her broken pipes...this was 3 weeks ago and she is still without water. She is hauling gallons of water to use in her home. She has been continually pushed off because "we are very busy". She called again yesterday to be told they cannot get to it until at least next week. I left a message with the company to request a status update and to inform them that this was not acceptable and that I would be call the BBB and PUC if not resolved this week as they have left a senior citizen without water in the snow and cold for over 3 weeks. The owner, Bob, called me back and as soon as I answered, he started yelling at me for threatening him and he proceeded to make false accusations against my mother-in-law. (He said her pipes broke because of no heat, however we have the electric receipts to prove that house was heated.) I tried to tell him I was not threatening, I was requesting that he provide the service he was hired to do however he would not let me speak. He finally told he was rejecting the claim and in his anger admitted that he and "his men" were not going under a trailer let alone work in a swamp...if that is the case, then why even take the job and make a woman wait over 3 weeks for water!!! Just be honest and forthright upfront if you cannot handle the job. Yes, there is a water leak..it is going to be wet. On a positive note, since he has now rejected the claim, within less than a day, we were able to get professional and knowledgeable plumbers to come to her home who worked diligently to resolve her issues in less than 6 hours. Prior to my father-in-law passing, this company was sent to repair a line in their home by the insurance company and he was very disrespectful towards my in-laws and complained about going under the house. I have asked the insurance company to not allow this man nor his company anywhere my mother-in-laws home in the future and have filed a formal complaint against his company with the BBB, PUC, and insurance company. read more
