I'm not sure if the cashiers are given targets as to how many customers they need to get to make donations, but it feels like they do. When stuff is in stock they often have a great variety of items, including many hard to find sets or ones exclusive to Toys R Us, which at least makes it worthwhile to try here.

There was a welcome package for each kid, a bag of popcorn, and Pikachu to take pictures. Inside the store, there were refreshments and Lego takeaway activities. Around 11am, 1pm and 5pm would have Raffle Tickets picked. We only waited for the 1st round raffles, 2 winners were luckily showed up. The toys in this store were new, nice and cute. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to choose more things to go with. But we definitely will come back again.

I purchased a $100 item last Saturday, but the person I bought it for already had it, so I went to return it. This was the first chance I had to return it as the person it was for lives out of town so I brought it there this Saturday. Today I was told in the store I can't return it, exchange it, or get a store credit because it's been over 7 days. Why 7 days? You still would have had my $100 if you exchanged it or gave a credit! Now instead, I will take my business and money elsewhere.

We believe that being nice to your customers who pay the bills is very important. It's clear this owner doesn't. I opened the box and lo and behold, it's the wrong order. Mt items are not in there and instead there is a horse ornament meant for someone that lives in Ancaster Ontario (yes, all her private information was included in the package). I reached out to Mastermind Toys by phone and email. As of today, I have sent 4 emails and heard no response. The phone...well, there is NO phone customer service. I was told by a representative from a store location that due to it being the Christmas season, there is likely no phone support. WHY would there be a decision made to NOT have phone customer service during the busiest time of the year? The Christmas season is the SAME time each and every year, it is not a surprise so WHY does Mastermind Toys not remedy the issue and hire seasonal help to deal with these issues? Make it make sense. So as of right now, I have yet to recieve the #1 item on my 5 year olds list, I have yet to recieve an email response, and I have yet to actually speak with anyone about this issue. I work for the largest youth servicing agency in the country and decided that mastermind is the 'go to' for alot of products because of the ease of use online and wonderful customer service at OTHER stores. My early days of working in customer service would never have found me conducting myself as unprofessionally as the Oshawa store personnel. The funny thing is, the employee rushing to lock the door did all of that in a haste to actually stand up outside the store to just wait. How silly.
