Though I had many recommendations and referrals for other accountants, I chose to work with Rose because I chose to specifically support a woman and minority owned business. One piece of advice from Erin Benzakein from Floret about hiring a bookkeeper and accountant was that if you feel dumb or awful after meeting with either, then it's time for you to hire a new accountant/bookkeeper. I was having a hard time managing my own bookkeeping and was inquiring about this service. I met with Tara and she was condescending, defensive, and was gaslighting me when I started crying on the call after she went on a diatribe about the importance of bookkeeping. I also disagreed with her statement that "Bookkeeping is the backbone of your business." Unfortunately, Rose was also on the call and there wasn't any intervention. I would recommend Rose Brown only if you were just working with her and Darin, but would stay away if you are on a call with Tara.

He was also from Jersey and he really put me at ease like immediately and I was kinda feisty at first because of my beginning dilemma ( ) ! I really was incredibly upset and this man spent 55 minutes of his time with me and talking me through my options after I had called Cenlar I don't know how many times over the same DANG mistake that wasn't MINE!!!!! And this time he picked up on like the second ring. It honestly was SUCH a pleasant experience I can't believe it !!! He was so beyond helpful. Would give 0 stars if I could. Quite possibly the worst company on the planet…read more Cenlar was responsible for paying our property taxes from our escrow account. They issued a check and claimed it had been sent to the county tax office. The next thing we knew, we were contacted by the county and informed that our taxes were delinquent and had not been paid. Cenlar assured us they would correct the issue by sending another check, which they did. The problem? They withdrew the funds from our escrow account a second time. They double-charged our escrow, leaving a shortage that has now caused our mortgage payment to increase. Our loan has since been transferred from Cenlar to Onity, and now Cenlar refuses to answer our calls because they no longer service the account. If there is a legitimate explanation, then pick up the phone and talk to us. Otherwise, from our perspective, funds were taken from our escrow account twice and the issue remains unresolved. This situation needs to be made right.

I just opened a new attorney trust account at this Santander branch in Ewing, NJ. I did not have an…read moreappointment, but was still able to sit down with their Vice President and Branch Manager, John Webb, with ten minutes of walking in. I consider that a win. It seems that these administrative tasks are becoming more complicated and time consuming. We were together at his Covid screened desk for more than 30 minutes as he worked through all the computer screens required for starting the account. Federal regulations are concerned with the legitimacy of the business and the source of funds. So, it wasn't Me. Webb's fault that so much information was demanded. Too, we were fortunate that I already had other accounts with the bank, and he was able to go into his data base for background data, like my federal ID number. Of course, I trust their cyber security is strong and regularly updated to protect my important data from ha king eyes. The account is up and running today and ready for use. I updated my IOLTA registration with the state supreme court as required, and am good to go. Whatever issues there were with the old account seem not to have been transferred to the new one. That's a relief. I appreciate they way John Webb took care of my business.
