After about 7 minutes we were served an ENORMOUS portion of lightly battered cod and chips. The chips were just as I remembered- chunky , crisp on the outside and soft center. The fish was flaky and tasty. I slathered salt and vinegar over the lot. It was all spectacular. The owner was super friendly and even brought us a complimentary portion of cheese sticks and more chips when he learned I was returning after 50 years away.
