On checkout, Aisle 2 I believe. Two talkative ladies. I said, "Hello." Nothing. Not even a nod. The talk was about a boyfriend. It was pleasant. Cashier handed me receipt. Not even a thank you. Bagger (boyfriend topic) at least said thank you. WOW. I go to staffed aisles on purpose. I support humans and don't get any discounts doing it myself. I should have scanned my own stuff today. Very unpleasant experience.

"You can ask another customer for their card." Really? Instead of putting customers first, Ingles chooses to gatekeep discounts that other stores apply automatically--no hoops, no cards, just good service. At places like Publix, you're treated with respect and your time is valued. Until Ingles prioritizes customer convenience and real savings, I'll be shopping elsewhere.

Produce is fresh, baked goods looked solid, and we got a few beverages and bottled waters for good measure. Surprisingly not terribly expensive, either, for what we bought. Overall, not a bad option if you live in the neighborhood or are passing through.

The veggies look fresh and the produce section does have a small salad bar. It's a pretty basic salad bar but the ingredients looked fresh. They do have a nice selection of wines and beer. The employees are kind and helpful, offering assistance in the cheese/deli case. They have some prepared foods as well next to the deli which included some tasty sesame tofu. They only fault I would say here is that the aisles are kind of cramped. There was a bit of other customers there which makes it hard to get around sometimes. However I would certainly be back.

Today as I stopped by to gey an oil change and inspection, I put my registration card on the dash and took my keys to the employee, as I have always been instructed in the past. A young man that I handedd my keys to was extremely rude. As I was telling him what I was there for, he started talking over me to tell me i needed to go back and bring him my registration. OK, that's fine, I went back to the vehicle and got the registration. So I went inside and waited almost an hour. Then a different young man brought me my keys and the ticket and indicated that they were finished. A quick look at the receipt told me that they had not done the oil change. Obviously the first kid was so busy talking over me he didn't pay attention to why I was there. I told the second young man that the oil was supposed to have been changed too. He apologized and said he would take care of that. So after nearly another hour wait, he brings me the ticket. It was $123 for and inspection and oil change! My last oil change here was $45! Now I know gas and oil have gone up in price, but doubled? I could have had the oil changed at a 10 minute oil change shop with synthetic oil for $55!! As I said I know prices have gone up for petroleum products. But courtesy and respect towards customers is free. But today it was non-existent. And it cost your business a decades long customer. I won't be back.
