We are headed to the beach and decided to bring sandwiches that we could eat later. It actually came up on my Google search for a grocery store, but a deli very much was going to serve the purpose I needed. It's effectively a smaller Central European grocery store with a good size deli and also a sandwich counter. While I was waiting for the sandwiches I took a look around the store, and there seemed to be a good variety of items and fairly priced, especially being imports. In spite of the name "Hans" for the store, I suspect it's Polish as that seemed to be where most products came from. Anyway, my wife had a ham and cheese sandwich and really enjoyed it. They offer to toast (press) it, but she opted not to due to planning to eat it later. I opted for the schnitzel. It was just $10 and another $1 to add sauerkraut. That's good value no matter how you look at it, but considering I paid an almost identical price earlier in the day for a special edition burger at McDs that was so poor, the value and quality stood out that much more. It was made to order too. Absolutely delicious. I doubt I was going to find a better sandwich for $10 anywhere else, so fully deserving of the 5 stars.

This showed a complete lack of respect for their customers and our time. A simple phone call or someone stepping outside to notify the people waiting would have taken only a few minutes. Instead, they chose to leave customers standing around with no communication whatsoever. There are plenty of restaurants in Collingwood that value their customers' time. Based on this experience, this isn't one of them.
