Stationary Park is one of the few stadiums that is unable to move around, it is still exactly where…read moreeveryone left it last time it was used. If you want to write a letter to them, use Stationary. First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - I have yet to see a game here, despite it being around for over 100 years longer than me. However I've visited here twice, and sneaked onto the pitch without any sort of repercussions (I really shouldn't put this in writing). It's an average stadium, it looks good, but could use a new facelift and to fill in the corners, so I'll give it a 3. I will be back here soon to see a live game though, instead of as a camera-wielding tourist. So when I was doing my first tour of Scotland in 2011, I also hit up every single stadium in the country. My obsession with footy (soccer to Americans) is the reason. Every stadium review - like all my reviews - are based on first-hand personal experience, usually from multiple visits. As recently as Fall 2014, when I was "stuck" in UK for 3 months, I went to most of them yet again while travelling. I have pictures of me at many of them, which I will post later. Also, when back in Scotland I plan to take more pix, and add more stadia! So watch this space! *** return to regular review *** It opened in 1885 and both Forfar teams play here together. It can hold nearly 7k, but it really does look like a bit of a field in the middle of nowhere. Forfar Bridies, the popular local dish, are readily available.

Ray Lewis in the house. Terrell Suggs. Yay. First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - sadly I've never seen a game at this stadium live, but I've been inside, and taken pix, and I was pretty impressed by the facility despite how tiny it is. It's way up on the coast in the freezing cold and it's a great little town. I was here in both 2011 on tour and 2014 as a tourist. The second time was when I went inside (I wasn't supposed to). Way out in the middle of nowhere and a nightmarish away trip for fans or teams. So when I was doing my first tour of Scotland in 2011, I also hit up every single stadium in the country. So watch this space! *** return to regular review *** So this stadium is just north of the town centre, a full 32 miles from the nearest train station, which might explain why away fans never come to this freezing stadium. They do have nice facilities here, it was built as recently as 1997, but the place only holds 3k people. It became an actual Scottish League ground back in 2000.

First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - I've never seen a live match here unfortunately, but I have been inside once, been around the outside on two other occasions, and I've taken tons of pix. I think it's a great, grand old stadium, but the capacity is pitiful... only 3k people. So I'll keep it as a 3, especially since it has artificial grass (which I walked on! Yay! Don't tell anyone!). It has artificial turf, and it can hold 3k people. Montrose used to rent the pitch out for livestock and grazing (hahahahaa), and their stand was formerly used at the Highland Games.

First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - Tannadice Park is one of my fave stadiums because of the name, the intense atmosphere (possibly the loudest in Scotland) and the team that plays here. I've seen home games here on 3 occasions including once when I was little, and I intend to come back here many more times and bring my girl here someday. I love it, I love how orange and intense and windy and cold and awesome it is. However, I can't give it that 5 stars. When I went back in 2014 most recently, I remember thinking... if they just fill in the corners and modernize it a bit, it could be one of the best stadiums in the UK. And so much less cold! Maybe one of these days. So when I was doing my first tour of Scotland in 2011, I also hit up every single stadium in the country. My obsession with footy (soccer to Americans) is the reason. So watch this space! *** return to regular review *** It holds just over 14k and is just a few yards away from Dundee's stadium. Dundee United play here in bright orange, which is why the whole stadium is bright orange. It's in the middle of a neighbourhood and it's really lovely here, watching games here is a thrill and the fans are fantastic. It's been in use since 1883. It is one of the best atmospheres in Scottish football and everyone should see a game here before you eat Haggis or Deep Fried Mars Bars. If they fill in the corners and increase the acoustics it'll get 5.

I haven't watched live football here, but I have been inside, and talked to a groundsman for probably 45 minutes about this stadium, the problems with it, and other issues. I agreed with most of the negativity, and for that I'll give it a 2 rather than the standard 3. I enjoyed the visit, but this may have been one of the least impressive Scottish Stadia I visited. So watch this space! *** return to regular review *** This field can only hold about 4k people, and looks more like a park than a stadium. It opened in 1919 and is too small to meet UEFA's requirements, whatever they may be. The largest stand is behind the goal. Aberdeen uses Glebe Park for its reserve matches.

First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - This is where Arbroath plays, and I came here to watch them in 2011 and had a good time. The stadium was nearly empty and it was pretty cold, but it was my first footy match of the year during my tour and it made me very excited to be back at a game after spending so much of my childhood at games. The stadium itself is decent sized and is right on the coast. It's absolutely freezing to be honest. It's located on the coast and is a decent stadium with some terraces and a good atmosphere. It is, at least, a proper ground as far as Scottish Div 2 grounds go. It opened in 1925, and it's right next to the North Sea and one of the most freezing grounds I've ever been to.
