Office texted to cancel the appointment less than 24 hours notice after I had already taken off to ensure I could attend the appointment. Practitioner also listed available appointment times, however when you read the fine print, it showed that they would be supervising as other therapists worked those sessions after 5pm. Major red flags for me and would not recommend to new patients seeking someone trained in this industry, coming from someone who also works in behavioral health.

Unfortunately, after they left the agency, my experience changed significantly. I was going through multiple major life changes at the time, and I voluntarily went to Western Psych for extra support. I informed Persad about this, and shortly afterward, I was told I needed to complete an IOP before returning to outpatient therapy. I repeatedly asked for clarification about the policy that was being applied to my situation and received no response. My portal access was removed without warning, and I wasn't informed that I had been discharged until 11 days later. I did not get a response from Persad until the day after I initially posted this review. The biggest issue was the lack of communication and continuity of care during a difficult time. I have a trauma history that this experience reactivated old memories of that I had forgotten. It was an incredibly difficult time that I do not wish on anyone. I'm grateful for the therapist who helped me, but my experience with the agency itself left me feeling unsupported and unable to trust them with my care going forward. Do better. The LGBT community already has enough trauma to deal with without administrative issues trickling down, affecting the quality of care.

We also have a mental health division with fully licensed and accredited therapists and psychiatrists. The receptionists 1st question was: Do we want him medicated or do we need to have him seen by a therapist? 1st of all, we are not the experts and to medicate a child without diagnosing them would be in my opinion grossly negligent. When we did get an appointment, we were told by the Therapist (S. Clayton) that we could not get an appointment with the psychiatriist because they were booked and we need to call our insurance company and find other options as they could not help. She also told us that she could not help by talking with our child because in all her 20 years of experience (which seems to be none in my opinion) that is a child did not talk on the 1st 2 visits then they were would never open up and talk to them. What about building trust and a relationship with the child. This therapist is not qualified if she gives up and no child would ever trust them. The place was only interested in talking if there were no real problems as they are not equipped and we needed to deal with the issues. She did not want to put herself out there and she in my opinion needs to find a career outside fo the public sector. She also made recommendations to us for services that she could not back up as assiting the patient. When I ask her if these services were able to assist, change behavior, support an overall change in the child, she told she wouldn't know that answer and couldn't answer. So she recommends a service that she has no background data on and doesn't even know the statististics on whether it works and produced results. This is not exclusive of this provider. No one wanted to go above and beyond as they feel these children are out of their realm and they in my opinion don't want to be bothered if there is actual work involved. No one wants to deal with the REAL mental issues and if someone would take the time to actually take and interest in these children and not write them off as a lost cause then we would see a turnaround in their behavior. No teacher, neighbor or even friends want to get involved. Everyone wants to look like a hero but in reality no one wants to be the stand up person if there is nothing in it for there. Don't go this place and if you are only looking to talk about the weather then you are good with these places . Make sure you don't leave in an area that is only concerned about appearances and the good kids.

Had no game plan or support system, just knew I had to get away from both toxic situations. Three RTT sessions, 3 coaching sessions, and 6 Emotion Code Sessions later.... In the moment I thought I wasn't having a successful session but felt an immediate weight in my chest lifted after Amy coached me through to the end. We uncovered some subconscious beliefs in my head that I never would have realized on my own or likely even from traditional therapy. Ever since the session I've felt more in control during the moments I struggle with confidence and feel that my underlying beliefs about myself have changed. I'm starting to see the inner change manifest external changes in my work life and relationships as well. I have suffered off and on from depression and anxiety for as long as I can remember. Growth and self-development have become a big part of my life, but I don't have much of a support system. Seeing Rachel provides me a safe place to talk and share my thoughts. Often times she provides me with little "a-ha moments." Things she says or suggests often make me stop and re-evaluate the events I had been stuck on, think differently about an action of my own doing, or to clear up an emotional blockage I was having trouble getting past. I appreciate when she challenges me on something and I usually end up learning something about myself. I have an easy time talking to Rachel and find her insightful, trustworthy and genuine.
