I've been here for two separate treatments. The first was with their former Clinic Director and the…read moremost recent was with with Pathik Patel for a tennis elbow. I've had the best experience and results from both the therapists. Pathik is very knowledgeable and could identify the issue and a path for treatment course with the first session. I started to see progress with my 3rd and 4th sessions. His focussed massages and treatments really helped me. My wife had an issue with her shoulder and severe mobility issues with her right hand. This was during the first year of pandemic and she had several telephonic sessions with therapist Elizabeth D. While telephonic sessions had its limitations and my wife couldn't see much progress, Elizabeth suggested my wife to visit for an in-person session if she was comfortable. My wife did and started to see improvements immediately! We hope we wouldn't need another physiotherapy session but if we do, we will sure look to Jackson's clinic and schedule an apt with Pathik or Elizabeth. I am sure other therapists are good as well.

The PT should first and foremost make the priority each and every client 100% during their appointment. This is not the case here which I can only assume our surgeon was unaware as this was his recommendation. There were a few red flags when we arrived for our first appointment which I chose to look past initially. The reception staff seemed disinterested, preoccupied and unwelcoming. As Therapy started for our daughter, a high level athlete, the therapist seemed very put out we wanted to be present during the first session but grudgingly cooperated. As it turns out it was a good decision as apparently the therapist missed the one thing the doctor insisted not to do on the paperwork presented to her, and halfway through began to attempt. During the next one hour appointment we did not oversee, but feedback was lukewarm from our daughter. What I could point out is that we also have a professional rehabilitation trainer who sent and tried to coordinate with the PT and received little response or interest. On the third appointment the PT spent the first half on our daughter, sent her to do expertises on her own, and took a second patient during our appointment time which I watched from the seating area. It seems, even though I was a new client, that standard procedure is to schedule as many clients as possible and double revenue at the detriment to all clients. PT is something that should require 100% of a therapists attention. To be splitting their time between clients unacceptable and morally wrong. I have always been a person who is find spending money no matter the cost to achieve a desired result but only if the value equals the cost. It makes no difference whether you are paying or insurance is covering the cost, in the end, one way or another you're paying. You may be losing valuable recovery time if not your hard earned money. This is one of those instances when sending a message to the business is best served by avoiding their establishment. There are far too many businesses who put the clients best interest first.

I will never use their services ever again as they only care about money and not about the people nor have any empathy for their pain and suffering nor have any considerations to people's time!!

I'm currently recovering from a serious Grade 3 hamstring injury with a complete separation that required surgical reattachment on January 29th, so my rehabilitation is not exactly a casual walk in the park. Fortunately, I landed in the hands of Dr. Paul Insana, PT, DPT, CSCS, and that has made all the difference. Paul is not only extremely knowledgeable and professional, but he's also incredibly kind, patient, and easy to work with. It didn't take long to realize I was dealing with someone who truly knows his craft at an expert level. His background as a former college pitcher who himself went through Tommy John surgery gives him a unique understanding of injury, recovery, and the mental side of rebuilding strength. You can tell he's been through the grind himself, and that experience shows in how he approaches therapy. Over the next couple months, Paul will be guiding me through the slow and careful process of rebuilding my hamstring, and I feel completely confident I'm in the right hands. Since then, I have had over 12…read more-14 questions from both sites from potential/current rehab clients of LSTC, the most recent a week ago. Given its been some time since my past review thought I would update but be briefer geared to questions I have received. In my last review I noted the advantage LSTC has combining the Therapists with Trainers so you are never left on your own as with most other PT Centers. This is the single best advantage over its competitors BUT it relies on the quality of staff. I was fortunate with having a very good Therapist who eventually left but was fortunate, having seen many other therapists work on others, to request Angie Austin step in when Leigh left mid-Therapy and she not only picked up working on my plantar fasciitis (and then right shoulder) but also worked with my orthopedist to help fit my orthotics. She helped me recover with rigorous exercises (she has eyes behind her because when I am doing something wrong with the trainers, she comes across to correct my technique) and after a PRP procedure on my right shoulder and a very thorough evaluation by Sydney Kosik (which was concurred by my by Doctor) started working with me. After an absence due to travel, I returned and in Angie's absence, started back with Sydney. I'm hoping to split my time with both of them as they are really good in spending effort and time working on muscle groups that need strengthened and each have slightly different techniques that I can use to build back strength. So, in response to questions on any flags to be aware of, here are a few: Assuming you are there for a few weeks, lock on a therapist who you feel is making the effort to help you (i.e., manual therapy). And have a back-up because the good ones seem to leave. If Angie and/or Sydney leave, I will revert back to anyone of several other therapists I know and respect (and use as with my back issues). Angie was nice enough to ensure I had the right bands to use at home and Sydney ensured I had a refresher after being away for some time. LSTC has decent pandemic procedures. However, no temperature checks as with others. And at times they are a bit lax with the 6-foot rule placing folks too near each other. I now wear 2 masks just to be careful. They do wipe down all equipment. Most all equipment available except no Electrotherapy Equipment/dry needling which can be quite helpful. Its one reason my wife left and if it were my back, I would not be there (now with my 6 year + therapist who uses both) Not much flexibility when you run out of visits. Other Centers allow you to self-pay what your Insurance pays. Here its more expensive so not worth paying as I was willing to do. However, its really convenient if you live in the area, front office staff including claims very pleasant to deal with, approvals easy to obtain (a huge plus); trainers are helpful to work with (they do seem short-staffed) and appointments easy to schedule (assuming you don't mind who are with...in my case I have to plan). Hopefully I have provided a useful update by responding to several questions received. Feel free to reach out with any additional feedback.

I've had experience with other PT providers (MedStar, Inova). So my review is by comparison. There were good therapists and trainers in the other PT centers also, of course. But Julia Smith at Restore in Ashburn is exceptional in her attention, expertise, and focus on the patient's needs. I had issues with my back and knees (osteoarthritis) as well as a strained hamstring injury. With the therapy, I managed to reduce the pain, build up strength, and also work on flexibility. Kate at reception is always friendly, helpful, and tries to find slots and fit the patient's time preferences as well as needs to travel or take breaks for other reasons. Unlike some of the other providers, it's not impossible to quickly arrange an appointment to fix an in-person evaluation and agree on a training schedule.

First impression when making my appointment was great. I went for a few visits but wasn't seeing tremendous improvement. I called to discuss my concerns and really appreciated their honesty, that unless I could also do some back-strengthening exercises at home, coming in wouldn't do much for me. Unfortunately I just don't have an hour a day to dedicate to that right now, but when I do I plan to go back. Since someone else mentioned it, it's true that the staff seems to be a little...chatty, let's call it. I've witnessed them all talking about each other while in for treatment and was also privy to a somewhat explicit conversation at the front desk about her recent date (while trying to pay my copay and schedule an appointment, so it's not like I shouldn't have been there). That stuff doesn't bother me as long as I'm receiving good care, which I feel like I did, at least by my PT's. The only real criticism I could give, is that they needed to cancel a Saturday appointment I had with only 2 hours notice... and they only called my house phone, despite also having my cell phone on file. As we had been out all morning, I never got the message. When canceling same day appointments, they really should use all methods of contact available.
