I have suffered from blood clots in my legs and lungs for more than 10 years. A few weeks ago, I went to the ER and was diagnosed again with blood clots and placed on blood thinners. During my follow-up appointment, Dr. Ott became very concerned about my condition and instructed me to return to Winchester Medical Center to be admitted for surgical treatment. Unfortunately, after spending nearly five hours in the ER, I was seen briefly by the ER physician, who never examined my leg and discharged me home. Dr. Ott did not accept that outcome. She spent hours personally investigating what had happened, reviewing records, identifying multiple errors in the ER doctor's report, and tirelessly advocating on my behalf until I was finally admitted to the hospital for the surgery I needed. What impressed me most was that she did all of this while continuing to manage a full day of patients. I later learned that the delays this caused in her schedule led to complaints from others, yet she never stopped fighting for my care and safety. Dr. Ott's compassion, professionalism, persistence, and willingness to advocate for her patient may very well have saved me from a much more serious outcome. In today's healthcare world, physicians like her are rare and deserve to be recognized. I will never forget the kindness and dedication she showed me. Thank you, Dr. Ott.

These include months-long gaps with no returned calls despite leaving multiple voicemails, repeated false assurances of follow-up, cancelled appointments initiated by administration rather than providers, and frequent call transfers to incorrect extensions that end in unmonitored voicemail boxes. At this point, this has occurred often enough that it feels systemic rather than incidental. When I was finally scheduled, my stated preferences were not honored, and I was assigned an intern without prior notice. Attempts to raise concerns led to further disruption of care rather than resolution. There was no accountability or apology for the delays. This experience felt impersonal, disorganized, and harmful for someone actively seeking mental healthcare. It is not a rehab center, nor a psychiatric hospital, nor a pharmacy, and just like any other facility, they cannot legally prescribe or recommend drugs to anyone other than established patients. I will note, there is an (unaffiliated) addiction treatment center down the hall, for those who may need it. My experience: The kindest and most helpful people work here, at Bloom. My interactions with intake, reception, nurses, nurse practitioners and the like, have all been positive and compassionate... and I have visited this practice more than 40 times. Tammy, Alison, and Lisseth always made me feel comfortable, safe, and important which means the world to me (especially as someone with white-coat syndrome). Billing department may be a bit frustrating to deal with depending on your coverage, but this is the U.S. healthcare system we're talking about - insurance isn't supposed to be easy (not Bloom's fault). In my experience, the Winchester team have been amazing advocates for their patients and went the extra mile to ensure I was covered for the treatments I needed. I highly recommend them, especially for anyone considering TMS therapy.
