This is just a recent update since I visited this dump my sweet parents are resting at. My mom…read morerecently passed away. The funeral home (Rachel) would not return MULTIPLE phone calls from my funeral director. Finally my husband got a hold of her and told her to pick up the phone and call him. My father died when I was 10 and my mom stressed over and over the vault, plot, and opening and closing had been paid for. All three of us children heard that year after year. Fast forward 45 years later, and they can't find any proof of that, just the plot and vault. Unfortunately , we are having trouble locating the original paperwork after 45 years as well. Our funeral director finds it very odd that that wasn't paid for as well. Whatever, so now we have to pay $4k for the opening and closing which is SIGNIFICANTLY higher than other cemeteries. I have no choice as to pay that as mom wanted to be by my dad. Last summer this cemetery was a weedy, nasty mess. Nobody was taking care of it. By the way, has anyone bothered to fix the water spicket by the Rock of Ages area near the parking lot? It's been broken for like 5 years!!! Eventually when we clean mom's house out we will stumble upon that paperwork. She and her friend purchased this together so I know it was taken care of. I can't believe I have to leave my mother here. Please find another cemetery. Maybe they will use our $4k to hire a lawn crew.

They will bend over backwards to help you with whatever you need. While I was actually at the funeral home they were very nice and made things as comfortable as possible. You feel like you are walking through history when you read the inscriptions on the tombstones. The cemetery is located on 32 Mile Road right next to the Middle School. It is operated by the Village of Romeo.
