That said, I've always been happy with overall process of getting exact measurements, slab selection, fabrication and installation. Pricing has always been fair and upfront without any surprises at the end. My latest project involved removing an old/worn kitchen sink (see photo) and replacing it with an identical/new model. I was quoted what seemed to be a fair and reasonable price. As with any project, there can be snags and unforeseen challenges and this was no exception. Instead of taking one man a few hours, it required 3 guys approximately 12-man hours. Despite the difficulties, the crew was always polite, professional and determined to do their work with excellence. Never did they rush simply to get the job done and go home for the night. The following day, I spoke with the owner Erin who was fully aware of some of the challenges her crew experienced and time spent on the project. But, instead of changing our verbal price agreement to cover her labor/material costs, she honored her word stating how important customer service is to her and her company. I cannot tell you how impressed I was by her integrity to do the right thing for her customer despite losing money on this project. Amazing!!! As a homeowner, this is the type of company we are all looking for and so rarely encounter. Starting with zero knowledge (or time really) I started moving fast. All I knew I cared about was getting a light color and took the advice of my family to invest in granite material. I found a couple spots that couldn't get to our house for a week to give a quote then an additional 3+ weeks from installation. As many of my Yelpy friends know, I work full time and have a toddler so the thought of letting minimal kitchen usage and construction sit for a month stressed me the heck out. Then, tada! A friend told us about CSI. Within 48 hours I was able to go look at the granite with one of the owners in person, got a quote, someone came to measure, and it was installed less than 2 weeks after! Oh, it gets better... they came in at $700 less than others we were looking into. The staff was so kind and beyond easy to work with. With any inquiries I made, a response was given within 30 minutes. Thankful and grateful for an easier process + quality finished products!

No attempt to contain dust blowing in while there was not a window in the opening. The installer had to remove a granite window sill because the window wouldn't fit otherwise. They were just going to haul it off and I had to rescue it. I understand they didn't have the tools or skill to cut it to size, but this was a piece of the slab used for my kitchen cabinets and quite expensive. I will have it cut to size and refit it. They trimmed the exterior of the windows and door with unfinished rough hewn cedar. So now I have white windows with raw wood trim on grey siding. So now I have to go out and paint those to complete the job. Sorry, but in my opinion, this job was not completed properly.
