HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! We ordered two large standard pizzas for dine in and it took them over an hour and a half to make them. I went up to inquire about them at the hour mark and the elderly gentleman working the oven said "You'll get them when you get them". Wow! I then went back up after it had been 1-1/2 hours of waiting and other tables that ordered after us were receiving their orders and Mr. Personality said the pizzas were in the oven. I honestly have no idea what the hype is about as this is truly one of the worst pizzas I've ever had in my life. There is no cheese on it at all whatsoever, and if there was cheese, I would need a microscope to see it. it is so strange to have a huge amount of toppings with no cheese on the pizza. To make matters worse, they use canned mushrooms, which are just horrible. If it wasn't for the server, almost sliding our pizza onto the table from the pan when he gave it to us, perhaps I would have given it three stars. read more

Stopped here on my way to Minot with my lady and for the hole in the wall that it is, it's such a great atmosphere. Very simple, down to earth employees there keeping a very hidden gem alive. Hasn't been renovated at least since the early 1990's but I loved it. The pizza, though a little pricey, was very good! I'm from a small town myself and felt right at home. Definitely a dive but personally that's where I tend to find the best food. I definitely could tell the locals love it as did I! Recently ordered a medium combination pizza plus 4 side salads. I would say pizza crust in particular was well below average. The side salads were $7.50 each and the employee used a medium pizza box for each salad. I think they don't normally sell side salads. I would argue green salads of any kind are a hard find anywhere in North Dakota. :-) Person who cut up the pizza must have decided to make it into a jig saw puzzle. Pieces were all like bite size and not traditional slices. That was sooooo annoying. The salads themselves were ok so that got me to two stars. This pizza was delicious! I am pretty picky about my pizza, so the first time I had it there was enough cheese. The second time I went I asked for more cheese and then it was perfect. There were so many toppings. So. Many. In Chicago, when you get sausage on a pizza, you're lucky if there is one piece of sausage on a piece of pizza. At pizza corner, you'll have difficulty picking up the piece! Winner! There's a slide area, which is fun for kids 4+. But you can't really see the slide from the main eating area, so if you have a younger child you'll need to get up and walk into the slide area to watch them The front desk people (maybe college kids?) were so kind to me, my daughter and my aging father in law, I was thankful for their kindness and friendliness If you are in valley city, you better go there! read more

(Review of frozen pizza, not specific to restaurant) The "original recipe" Pizza Corner pizzas were great! A thin crust with a hint of rosemary, a good amount of mozzarella and a great sauce; all of which are very rare, or perhaps nonexistent, to a frozen pizza. I actually used to bring a suitcase when coming back to visit (exclusively) for bringing 5 to 6 of the frozen pies home with me to Ca. However, several years ago they got bought out by Bernatello's Pizzas. Bernatello's, in a shrewd business move, had the strategy of keeping the name alive along with mass producing the best frozen pizza of all time. Sounds great, right?!? Nope! Not if your tastebuds work!! Unfortunately, Bernatello's took the name and replaced the crust with a cheap styrofoam tasteless crust that is no different than the rest of their frozen pizzas. So, in other words, you're not buying a "Pizza Corner" pizza anymore, you're buying a worse than mediocre "Bernatello's pizza." A company whose mantra is definitely QUANTITY OVER QUALITY!!! I am not that impressed with Pizza Corner's fresh pizza that you get at the restaurant. Their frozen pizza is much much better in my opinion. I am a little picky about my pizza, but I felt the crust was a bit to thin and cracker like. The frozen pizza has a bit of a thicker crust which I like better. Their taco pizza is very unique and a pleasant surprise. But, like I said since I am from NYC I am very particular about my pizza and I am sure the majority of the people that eat here will love it. read more

The Best Pizza... in the World. Visits: 50+ This is my de facto hometown pizza joint. I may be a little biased, as this is where I grew up and was taught pizza, but it is still my favorite. Itis where I ALWAYS visit when I go home to visit the family. However, I've taken many friends from out of town here and they've always been impressed. Pizza Dave makes a thin, crisp crust with a spicy sauce, and properly bakes it in a pizza oven. My fave's are the classic pepperoni, gourmet, and the taco. They have a party room and play place for the kids -- which my nephew fully endorses. They even have Coke AND Pepsi products. it's like the UN of soda there. Look for specials like free sodas on Mondays, lunch specials, and some others I cannot remember. And if you enjoy it, you can always take some frozen pizzas home -- which I also enjoy. 20 years ago this used to be a good place to eat. You used to get a pizza loaded with topping and it was reasonable. NOW Dave's sucks the big one. I hate going to this place, and will refuse to spend any of my money here. The place is not very clean, it is way over priced and the pizza really is not that great. Belch! This pizza joint blows. Dave thought he had it made when Pizza Hut closed it doors and decided to start making changes...less toppings, raise the rates. Then he wonders why business sucks so bad, they quit late night serving because even the bar crowd quit ordering his crappy pizza. I grew up in Valley City and have loved Dave's Pizza Corner pizza all my life. Being a former local I'd say that it was a special place for us as kids and like an old song from childhood it always seems better for those who were there. Pros: My favorite has always been the Taco, which is well worth checking out. It is unique to any other taco pizza I've tried. The multiple cheeses and pico de gallo chip flavor with lettuce and tomatoes makes for a worthwhile trip to eat here. The frozen pizza line is acclaimed all around the region with all the flavors to choose from as good as the next. The frozen crust is my favorite crust to this very day. A unique surprise pizza that doesn't get a lot of acclaim is Don's Delight. I warn you it has sour kraut on it, making it a love or hate kind of thing. The core workers at the store have been there for many years and know the pizza well. Cons: Many other locals prefer either the Manhandler or the Spoiler. Sadly these two aren't so special to the random outsider as the Spoiler isn't as good as it was and the Manhandler is a simple 3 meat pizza. The thin crust has been changed to a cracker-like crust, but it wasn't always like that. If the thin crust gets burnt, then it is a very lame pizza experience. In conclusion, I love coming home to sample the tastes of my childhood at Dave's Pizza Corner. It is something I look forward to every year. Outside of trying the unique pizza flavors at this restaurant I'd not expect too much if I was just passing through regardless what the locals say. I love the Pizza Corner in Valley City. It is my go-to place with my friends. The atmosphere is very cozy and nice. Their pizza is very unique, delicious, and cut into little diamond shapes. I recommend the Supreme pizza there, if you like having a lot of toppings. It is one of my favorites. There are both Pepsi and Coke products available, as well as some tea and sports drinks. After you're done eating, you get a free little ice cream for dessert. There are several flavors to choose from. I grew up Valley City but have lived in the Washington, DC area for the past 28 years. I still get home occasionally and NEVER pass up a stop at the Pizza Corner, though many of us still call it "Dave's" since it was called Dave's Pizza Corner for many years. And if you are 50 or so years old you will remember it as Jay's Pizza Corner. The good thing is the place and the pizza have hardly changed over the decades. First, if deep dish or thick crust is your thing, the Pizza Corner probably isn't for you. The crust is thin and crispy so the focus is on the sauce, the cheese, and the other toppings. It is a fairly simple formula but it is delicious and the reason why the Pizza Corner has grown into an operation that distributes its frozen version through the region. The Pizza Corner has withstood several challengers over the years including Pizza Hut and Happy Joe's. Competitors come and go in this small town of 7,000 residents. I have no doubt whatsoever that the Pizza Corner will be there when my future grand-kids visit my hometown many years from now. read more

This place does not use pizza crust, they use cracker bread. They don't even bake it long enough to melt the cheese, I'm sure the cracker bread would burn if they did. My husband will eat anything but this stuff is just too horrible. read more
