The…read moreingredients seem fresh and the dishes well ordained with the variety of spices and natural colours that are packed within each recipe. The end result may not be enough to be etched in memory forevermore but as can be seen from the photos the presentation was excellent, the food mouth-watering and satisfying on multiple levels. Everything from the starters (even simple bread and olive oil) to the well proportioned mains to the dessert was consistently appetising, safe and becoming. Perhaps offering nothing extraordinary, but everything though ordinary is done extremely well; I find it unlikely that any other local restaurant will be able to rival the high standards of Vinoteca Italiana in this quiet and humble area of South London.

The Wallington Pizza express is an example oif one of the quiet, friendly branches of Pizza Express. The food is good, the service is very good. Pizza Express in Wallington is an ideal place to go for lunch with work colleagues or at the weekend with a partner. It's been open quite a few months. Part of a small chain. They specialise in customisable pizza…read more They have lots and lots of choices for toppings and for 9gbp you can add as many as you like. That and high temperature fire Owen is their marketing strategy. No wood burning owen, just gas one so I didn't have much faith in the place. On the other hand the area does not have much in terms of great casual restaurants as far as I know so in a desperate move I gave it a chance. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered one of their mixes - burner (slightly cheaper and I always assume that the chef has recommended things that go very well together). It was not hot despite the name. On the other hand it did come out very quickly and was piping hot. Great crisp on the sides and super thin in the middle. Spread of ingredients wasn't much to write home about and dough quality wasn't impressive either, they didn't even offer any extra shavings of parmesan or olive oil. On the other hand there was something good in it. I quite enjoyed the pizza, given on a wooden tray. Not a super soft and sophisticated, nor was it Italian (too many ingredients and too big choice of them) but I really liked it. The crust had just the right consistency and it was very enjoyable experience. Easily better than any of the big delivery chains. The place is quite spacious but it has only 4 tables. It got full while I got there, though it seemed to be because of people ordering takeaway. Might be a good place to take your kids as they offer dessert pizzas including Nutella pizza. I'm too conservative for this one. Not sure if they have toilet to be honest, on the other hand Mon - sat there is a Tesco with free toilet a stone throw away. Overall, if you are in Thornton heath and are happy with a slightly loud and somewhat rustic locale, go for it. Pizza won't be best you've ever had but it will be a very good version of your normal pizza.

The week I was there, I ate there 4 times and here's the scoop: * The pizza was actually pretty good...somewhat like Pizza Hut pizza, but at £3.00 for a small pizza, you can't go wrong. The tandoori chicken pizza was a good choice. * Kebab Roll: 2 Kebabs, chips and drink..£3.50. If you like it spicy, just ask. I'd ask for light on the sauce as it will get a bit messy. * Spicy wings...get at least 4 to pick at. * Burgers...standard, but good. The service was quick and the guy that worked there was patient as I seemed to take forever making up my mind. Surprisingly, they do have a decent amount of vegetarian plates. Two people can easily eat for under £10. If you are Muslim, the food is Halal prepared.

The food was pretty good, and the portions were generous. Nothing too fancy, but the prices were reasonable relative to the quality and location. The first time I came, I split a mushroom and sausage pizza with a coworker and also got the soup of the day, stracciatella. The pizza was large (I definitely wouldn't have been able to finish it on my own) and the soup was tasty. The pizza did get a bit soggy partway through, but it was still pretty good. The restaurant had a wide variety of desserts; I picked the lemon sorbet, which was a sufficient size since I was already full from the pizza, and was very enjoyable. My second night here, I got a ravioli dish with beef bolognese sauce; again, it was tasty and the portion was generous. I was just barely able to finish it. There was a good amount of outdoor seating; since I was here during a heatwave we never dined inside so I didn't get a look at the interior. All the staff we encountered were friendly. Overall, a decent and reliable place to get Italian food in Watford.

Been coming to this joint for about 15 years now and its the same lively experience every time. The food is great, served fresh and quickly and is very cheap. Birthdays are megatastic in here, they turn the lights off and all the waiters bash symbols together wildly and you get presented with an ice cream in an animal dish. Wicks. Good Italian food, super service and eminently reasonable prices…read more Today I had spinach and ricotta ravioli with butter & sage, it was fabulous --straightforward no fuss home-made pasta cooked to perfection. Half of a carafe of perfectly passable Italian Ribena at £8.50 for a half litre washed it down splendidly. Bruschetta and triangoli stuffed with swordfish went down well with my colleagues. Bread and water were replenished with no fuss, and good coffee was rustled up with the bill -- no semaphore required to catch the attention of the staff. The only downside is that it is rather small, and the furniture is oversized, but if there are only a few of you, who cares? You'll not be in a rush to be leaving, after all. Update: there's a downstairs! With lots more room! A favourite lunch spot.

The Uxbridge ask is nice and open with a fair bit of room between tables and also at the table. The food was all well received, I always go for the Pizza which has always been tasty, had a decent amount of toppings and just the right size, nothing to shout about but at that price (£7-8) you can not go wrong.
