Cambodian, Vietnamese and Thai restaurant. Well, That's what the menu says on the cover. The menu…read moreis entirely in French and the waitress had a very limited English vocabulary. This is when Siri and Google Translate comes in very handy. Honestly, we really did not have a clue on what we ordered and we couldn't keep translating everything into English on our phone. They had a set dinner for 2 for about 40 Canadian dollars so we went with that. For starters it came with Tom yum soup with shrimp. The Tom yum had a lot of stuff going on, there was celery, tomato, bell peppers, pineapple, mushroom and even more celery. The soup was OK and you can taste the Tom yum paste. Our soups were hearty filled with vegetables. When the main course arrived we were surprised to find a typical pu pu platter with the mini hibachi grill in the center and sitting on top of a lazy susan. Pu pu platters you would usually find in polynesian restaurant. The platter was adorned with Egg rolls, chicken wings, skewered shrimp, beef that you had to cook on the hibachi grill, meatballs of undetermined origin and Pickled coleslaw. The pu pu platter high points were the shrimp and egg rolls. The shrimp was seasoned nicely and the egg rolls were crunchy and delicious. The beef skewers though were tough and the meatballs had a hard exterior shell like texture and after biting into it I couldn't figure out what type of meat it was. The highlight of the meal was dessert. It was part of the set dinner. We Ordered the banana Beignets. The beignet's came out nice and crunchy and drizzled with a simple syrup and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Finished up with a cup of coffee. The waitress was extremely sweet and tried her best to explain the menu. Overall not a bad experience but I wished they had a menu in english.

If you want a real, locals vibe poutine experience stop here. We had Poutineville (I know) last…read morenight because it was close to our hotel in Quebec City and this was night and day different in all the best possible ways! First they put a layer of curds on the bottom of the bowl (no where else did this from chain places to supposed old school restaurants) then the fresh hot fries then more curds (A LOT) on that then the gravy. The cheese curds squeaked when you ate them. It's set up like a Subway sandwich place, cafeteria tray style so nothing special inside but who cares with poutine this good? They people inside mostly spoke French but also could switch to English and were friendly. They had lots of tables and booths inside and at least 8 tables with umbrellas outside. This is just off the main route heading back to US border for us going home to CT. Will absolutely be our last Canadian stop now before crossing the border. They also have a cheese and gourmet shop attached and they were selling fresh corn in a kiosk in the parking lot (which you can't take back across unfortunately because it looked great). And everyone purchased these cream filled smallish donuts so we probably missed a trick but we were so over full of sweets and pastries from our Montréal/Quebec vacation we just couldn't get any. Highly recommend.

So curd cheese is huge in Quebec and everyone has their fav but only very few know about this…read morelocation. Of course having a true québécois best friend helps as her family lives in Kingsley so they know the best cheese shops so this weekend I got to try the SQUEAKIEST curd cheese of life. Now I know you're all going to say oh I've had fresh and great curds before. BUZZER SOUND .. you're wrong ! The best curd / freshest / squeakiest can only come from this location. If it's not made right there on the spot it's a disgrace wise words from my best friend. You can get Kingsley or guillaume back home but once it gets transported from fresh to cold and hot and cold and hot it just turns out MEH and loses its beautiful taste. So do yourselves a favour and make the drive to this location and grab a large bag for $8 dollars to go and then take a seat and order a poutine.
