The smoked meat was as you would expect from a Quebec restaurant - they know how to make it. The pasta was good and home-made. Service was quick and responsive. We didn't have to wait long and our meal was on the table in front of us. There are a few TVs around the facility. Tables and chairs are average quality. It's not necessarily the ambiance you are going for. But it was clean.

The staff was very kind and patient, as we were somewhat indecisive. We didn't feel rushed and they were able to make suggestions for the kids. The menu had enough variety for us to choose from where we didn't feel overwhelmed nor did we feel like we had to settle with a dish. Everything tasted fresh and was very well presented. The portions were extremely generous. My family enjoyed their choices. I really enjoyed the pulled pork pizza - it had a nice drizzle on it - the flavors made it more sweet than savory, which I didn't mind, because I ordered a side of fries too. LOL. When we were leaving the owner thanked us and welcomed us back any time. It was all around a great experience...and within walking distance to our hotel (Hotel Pur).

From the moment…read morewe walked in, the host, a sweet older gentleman, offered us paper towels to dry up, since we were soaken wet even with umbrellas. He seated us in the booth and got our little children settled in with coloring material. He was so gentle spoken with our children, and for that matter, the entire staff was! Our family felt welcomed and not a bother. You would be surprised at how few places make us feel this way, even though our children are calm little beings. Ok, now... to the food! When I hear brisket, I think of Texas styled BBQ, this brisket is different, this is a deli style brisket, think Reuben Sandwiches. The brisket was sliced so thin and was juicy, it was delicious! Our kids had kids meals and in their opinion, the best part was the ice cream at the end . I highly recommend eating here! The staff is friendly, the food is great and overall, just a comfortable place to be! Tip the staff well, trust me, by the time the bill arrives you will already have experienced their top notch service. I don't have pictures to share because we were hungry and ate everything up before I could remember to snap some photos!

We had the the spinach and artichoke dip to start which was really good. I had the original Reuben which was memorable with the in house smoked corned beef brisket. The pumpernickel bread was awesome as well. My wife had the smoked lox bagel sandwiches ch with the fried capers and that too was amazing. Bonus points for the Molson Export Ale on draft which was a nice change of pace from all of the craft drafts I've been having.

Quebecois food and products can stand toe-to-toe with their French counterparts over in Europe. In…read moreQuébec City, I can't think of a better way to get Made in Québec (Faits au Québec) products then Les Trouvailles de Jules (Jules Finds). Recently renamed from Couillard, Fils & Cie, the store is a natural extension of the next-door Brasserie (brewery/winery) Française Chez Jules, which has (with the booze) many smaller and "lunch-size" dishes made from the products of Les Trouvailles. If you've got a sweet tooth, you've come to the right place! I can't recall the last time I've seen so much caramel. They've got several products from Caramels F.A.A. (their motto is "Faits avec Amour" ... "Made with Love") and it sure seems that way. They have rich, sweet blends of Fleurs de Sel ("Flower of Salt", and seawater salt), Cacao (cocoa), and Érable, just to name a few. And then there's the Maple Syrup ... Nos Cabanes and Domaine des 15 lots have brought plenty of their syrupy wares to Les Trouvailles. This is Canadian Grade A syrup, people ... as good as it gets! There are, unshockingly, plenty of high-quality pâtés. But don't sleep on their culinary siblings, rillette. Amongst others, you'll find rillettes from from the renowned Baie-St-Paul Les Volières (aviaries). You'll also find plenty of fruits, especially in dried (cranberries!) fruit and jam form (blueberries, blackcurrants, gooseberries, etc.), and plenty of vegetables (OMG the pickles!). I was really surprised to find the Sauces Piquantes (a.k.a. hot sauces). Little did I know the both hot and sweet sauce options there were to kick up Quebecois cuisine up a notch ... in taste and spiciness. I was surprised to find some great non-food products, the most interesting being the Baby Night Owl by raplapla ... the famed bebe bouillotte (hot water bottle) / stuffed animals for colicky babes. Cute ... and useful! Les Trouvailles de Jules is a great store! You really haven't been to Québec until you've ensconced yourself into the province's wonderful products.

I'm vegan an eating no gluten, no problemo, a few choices available! Green salad: balsamic a little bit too vinaigretty for me. But fresh yummy veggies. Arrabiata gluten free penne: simply yummy! This sauce is just amazing: perfect mix if tomatoes, garlic, and spices. And the sauce is just thick enough to stay on pasta. Would definitely come back! For a date: I was on a quiet evening. It can definitely sit a lot of people so my guest is it can get noisy. On my night: soft music. Love the soft romantic lighting; feels like we are on a patio at night.

They have a patio out front and an adorable back patio as well. The first visit, I had roast chicken pasta that was really good. I also had a Caesar salad to start. Everyone with me enjoyed their food. The only recommendation would be to have more variety of wines and have them all available. The first night, they had no rosé and the second night, they only had one bottle so we switched to white. The second night, I had a mix of appetizers which was also very good. The pasta from the first night was some of the best I have ever had, though it was heavy. They were busy both nights, but the service was great. I would definitely recommend this spot while in Trois Rivières.
