It took three people to get us the right menus for the lunch service though, and I'm usually quite understanding with how busy restaurants can get but we were one of maybe four parties dining at the time. Weird. We also waited quite a long time for every aspect of the meal - it should not take nearly 20 minutes to get four waters and one ginger ale to a table. We all got sandwiches and tacos with varying sides, and they all were honestly just okay. The garlic parmesan fries my cousin got were way greasier than usual and she ended up not being able to finish them; we did all enjoy the onion rings sides though. I opted for a Caesar salad with the sandwich I ordered and honestly, it was lacking. It did include bacon alongside the typical components which was a nice touch, but it was basically just cheese and lettuce, not a lot of much else. Overall it got the job done and we all left satiated, but it wasn't the best thing anyone's ever had. I'll stick to the bar next time as I've found service to be quite improved when dining there.

I ordered a pint and the Guinness Steak and Mushroom pie which comes with a choice of side (French fries, salad). The presentation of the meal was not normally how I have had before. It was served on a plate with the puff pastry placed on top. And the fries were served on a separate plate. The puff pastry was not cooked and was raw. The steak and mushroom stew was delicious (the steak was so tender) and the fries were cooked perfectly. When the problem of the puff pastry was brought to the attention of the staff they apologized and actually took 50% off my bill. I understand we're all humans and sometimes mistakes are made. Even with the issue of my meal I will come back again. There is a patio on the front of the restaurant, that has some tarps up for shade.

It was almost empty inside at this time (3:30-4ish on a Friday) so there wasn't even a lot of body heat to factor into the temperatures. The most recent time it was still hot inside, and many customers were wiping their foreheads and using menus to fan themselves. There were 2 beers and 4 waters for the table and one beer was warm and the other was just barely cool. The wait for food was around 40 minutes and for the price it was fine but again, nothing really special of note. The owners seem nice enough and it is a popular spot, I don't want it to seem like the place is awful, it's not, it's just not somewhere I'll frequent.
