The waitress was awesome, and the beers were cold, even if they felt a little small. The service was friendly, and the pizza came out quickly -- maybe a little too quickly. Unfortunately, the pizza just did not live up to my memory from RAGBRAI in 2023. The crust was soft and seemed a little underdone instead of crisp. We probably should have asked them to fix it, but after that many miles on the bikes, hunger won and we ate it anyway. The place was not very busy, so I do feel like the kitchen should have had time to get it right. The prices were okay, maybe a little high for a medium pizza, but not outrageous. Overall, the service was great and the place has some small-town charm, but the pizza itself was just not what I remembered. Now I can say we have been there together, but it would probably take a rare day for Toledo to be a meal stop again. I just wish this visit had been as good as the memory.
