Nice and clean inside and a drink tower towards the rear of the restaurant by the salad bar. Free refills available. They also have a bar in case your in need of that pizza pairing alcoholic beverage. I ordered the meal deal which included an individual sized pizza, a drink and a starter. The mozzarella cheese bites sounded good and were. Only gripe, guess were spoiled in the US and want ranch or marinara with them, they have hot sauce, BBQ and ketchup available at the tables. The pizza came out quick and was delicious, pan crust with bacon, ham, sweet corn and a drizzle of BBQ sauce. Would come back here again, delightful staff and solid food.

I managed to pick up a promotional deal which was a small pizza (including gluten-free) with a side and drink for £11.99. This location is on Fountain Street, a stone's throw away from the Manchester Arndale and only a short walk away from Piccadilly Gardens, and St Peter's Square, all you need to do is turn past the large (and newer) EE store on Market Street opposite Primark, and you're there. The staff seemed pretty friendly and had no problem speeding up my order, the online ordering process was super simple up until when I'd ordered it. I was told my food would take 40 minutes despite requesting ASAP which makes no sense as 40 minutes isn't ASAP: The restauraunt sorted it with a quick phone call and I got my food within 15 minutes or so which was much more reasonable. For my pizza, I ordered a gluten-free chicken supreme, I did enjoy the toppings, especially the chicken but I found the base to be far too thick and bland, it wasn't pleasant at all which was a real shame. This is something I've found to be common with Pizza Hut's rectangular gluten-free base at other locations. 2* - Pretty basic pizza joint, now this might work in your smaller town but in a big city like Manchester where on a regular day there are dozens of fresh italians if you choose here you're pretty much spitting in the face of authentic cuisine.

The Pizza Parlour is just as tasty as Pizza Express but not nearly as dear with it super size pizza - enough for three - only setting you back £11 for most toppings. There is also beer and wine which makes it some like more grown up experience but all of this can delivered if you still want to slob about in your pyjamas. Even though I do like a Domino's, you can still taste the difference here as the pizzas taste fresher and have a real home-made quality to them.

After another half hour ( we only stayed because we were bowling later at the complex and had a half price voucher) our food arrived. It wasn't worth the wait. The food was luke warm, the pasta dish had obviously been kept warm and was dried out so that was sent back but not re ordered, and the potato wedges were soggy. To add insult to injury we were then over charged. In fairness to the staff they did the best they could and remained polite throughout but they lost 8 customers that night half price vouchers or not.

They also do take away which you can order in the restaurant itself or phone through - there are specific take out deals too which is great. All in all I would highly recommend this place as a great place to have salad, pizza, pasta and a dessert - it's a nice couple, friends or family night out.

Prices are very reasonable and you get decent sized portions. Lets face it late night takeaway is never going to be gourmet dining but these guys do an ok job at it. Food is always cooked fresh, they use fresh dough on their pizza bases and the food tastes great when drunk. Staff are friendly and helpful and food is always delivered in good time.

However, flavourless food doesn't seem to have put anyone else off as the place always seems to be occupied, mainly with those on their way home after a few scoops at The Black Lion, a few doors down. Perhaps that's the key to enjoying food at La Citta - just add alcohol and it tastes amazing? Hmmm. I may give it another go some time but for now I'll just keep walking. That's a much healthier option, after all.

Prices were reasonable and the pizza came out really quickly. There were a few other people in the shop and up till this point I had always seen people in there on my walk home and envied them. The staff were friendly enough with everyone which did make eating out comfortable. Overall if you want something quick to fill a gap then yes bearing in mind it could be practically hit and miss with the pizza, but would recommend going for an alternative on their menu such as the lasagne. or the bucket of chips which did look crisp and chunky.
